A long one this has turned out to be. Was in two minds whether to split it up eventwise or not. But decided to keep it all in one place. 😊

Fabulous piece of comprehgensive work Durga. All the connections hand in hand leading up to that reunion...melodiously kept rhythm with that tum meri ho...my most fav ofcourse has to be that thaal one...rapturous recollection of that teej...also loved that connection to chand saaye and muskana... such symbolically rich ...even pictorially connected... truly fitting ode for their journey...seemed almost like written form of vm...much enjoyed...

Durga di lovely thought behind the poem.. the first stanza is my absolute favourite..captured the gist of what ASR would have to say.. full of perfects symbolisms specially the reminder of the teej thal and how a bereft lover would stare at the moon.. clueless that he was already caught in the feeling..and jee nahi paunga tumhare bina...

Months ago he asked her if their respective mothers were happy overseeing them from above, that day they both happily conversing in heavens didn't precisely crystallize in his head yet perhaps... the thought could be in incipient stage ever since he heard of her being an orphan.. but today he could visualize that with his khushi by his side...a love story that has always meandered through troubled waters.. there was a dire need for these two to have a heart to heart talk. if not har baar.. at least this ek bar... sealing it for ever..

A specific moment of this was very delicately woven, heart stoppingly intimate, when the remote accidentally went off and the lights were turned off, Khushi wanted to leave, a bit uncomfortable at the proximity perhaps, he held her hand, kissed it gently looking into her eyes made his intentions clear. It reminded of the many times he wanted to stop her from leaving... a mat jao...an unfamiliar, unacknowledged dependency earlier on in that store room when she screamed she was leaving to Lucknow, or after Diwali when he looked on helplessly from that pool side, or a drunken admission on Holi , or a verbal open request when anjali wanted Shyam back ... his need for her, most of it was emotional...she is perhaps the only one/ thing he ever wanted all for himself...

Did these two ever get a chance to serve to their own emotional, physical urges? Today, they did deserve a moment just for themselves.. under the stars...

Aahh I knew I was going to love reading this Indu di.. I too was a little baffled by how unaffected Khushi seemed the next day. She was given one brief moment to recollect before turning into hyper Khushi. Anyway, beautiful references to all things past and present. Also the gifs are gorgeous.. The one where she is leaving and he watches is a rarely visited moment.. perhaps that is why it looks even more compelling here..

I just read and remembered the night and smiled and sighed.. thank you

Wow, thanks for that Indu. I really loved Arnav recalling all those moments and Khushi realising that the rasams had actually happened without anybody's knowledge and the ultimate realisation that she belonged to him, 'hum aapke ho gaye ... tabse' and that she was KKGSR completely.

The teej was where the hints for the marriage started, the thaals getting exchanged, Arnav breaking Khushi's fast, etc, etc. And what glares! 😆 But the thaal passing shot I used above is not from teej. It is from Epi 189, just before they leave for the temple to get married. Buaji asks Khushi to pass the shagun ki thaal, since it had to be kept on the other side. So, Khushi picks it up and hands it over to Arnav who then keeps it on his side. 😊

Still in the Cinderella land. 😆

Thanks Rhea. There were still some little little moments but I skipped them. Maybe cover them in a different poem. I loved the staring at the moon scenes and that rabba ve playing in the background and that pouring one's heart out without uttering a single word. Sigh ... Needless to say, the magic of IPK hasn't diminished even a little bit.

It was actually the thought of Arnav.

Arnav and Khushi are soul mates and is made for each other. So their unison was inevitable.

and what a perfect title you chose, "tum meri ho."
