When a certain level of intimacy was shared between asr and khushi in that farmhouse, i was one of those those days who believed they didn't go the whole nine yards! Upside down i debated for days/ weeks why i didn't think their relationship was not consummated that day, my main reasons being Khushi's easy brushing aside of what happened between her and arnavji the previous evening and flip and focus onto the event happening that day when she woke up and the rather casual phone conversation with asr after a few moments. I did think heaven would be shown falling on earth following when these two come together! But few things absolutely didn't change on how I felt for their emotional connect that day.. it was much more profound, even metaphysical at many levels...thanks to the writers/ directors for those immensely beautiful 5/6 min to have connected many layers of this love story very aesthetically...The restrained romantic he is.. he created a moment .. and she just pervaded in it along with him. Months ago he asked her if their respective mothers were happy overseeing them from above, that day they both happily conversing in heavens didn't precisely crystallize in his head yet perhaps... the thought could be in incipient stage ever since he heard of her being an orphan.. but today he could visualize that with his khushi by his side...a love story that has always meandered through troubled waters.. there was a dire need for these two to have a heart to heart talk. if not har baar.. at least this ek bar... sealing it for ever..

I absolutely agree with you that they really needed to talk. We hardly saw them conversed and so many of their conversation was incomplete also. So many things they needed to say. I wish if Khushi could say arnav that she sold her mom's bangles to unite him with Lavnya or Arnav would've tol her what he couldn't say on the heer-ranjha act.

A specific moment of this was very delicately woven, heart stoppingly intimate, when the remote accidentally went off and the lights were turned off, Khushi wanted to leave, a bit uncomfortable at the proximity perhaps, he held her hand, kissed it gently looking into her eyes made his intentions clear. It reminded of the many times he wanted to stop her from leaving... a mat jao...an unfamiliar, unacknowledged dependency earlier on in that store room when she screamed she was leaving to Lucknow, or after Diwali when he looked on helplessly from that pool side, or a drunken admission on Holi , or a verbal open request when anjali wanted Shyam back ... his need for her, most of it was emotional...she is perhaps the only one/ thing he ever wanted all for himself...

I just loved your thought. whenever she wanted to leave he always tried to retain her. cause without her he couldn't breath.

But did she want to leave? i thought she sat up to get the remote to turn on the projector. But Arnav stopped her to turn it on. cause he wanted to be intimate with her and how could he do that in front of their parents!

Did these two ever get a chance to serve to their own emotional, physical urges? Today, they did deserve a moment just for themselves.. under the stars...

especially if you're a writer. a long episode that drags trying to justify something that cannot be justified doesn't really help. just because you show heroine talking to her goddess, doesn't make it okay. and really, why did she not go running and tell her husband, the man who is doing everything he can to make things alright?

who is being as honest as he can be.

doing what he believes is the right thing to do by her.

fretting like crazy over his sister, because she is so much a part of him and because he has this thing called a sense of responsibility that he must act with.

why is she not telling him that shyam is lurking here? that di is seeing shyam? because he may get angry? come on.

and interestingly some people are always saying, "hum kya karen devi maiya, hume kuchh samajhme nahin aa raha!" what should i do i can't understand... while others just take decisions they feel they need to and act.

no marks for guessing which gender must be shown to be dithering and sort of scuttling their own hand in the decisions they make and which gender is allowed to act based on decisions made by depending on one's self.

in feudal patriarchy, if a woman becomes self dependent, strong, capable of taking the call and not passing the buck to someone, ideally god... then how will such an unequal, unfair system survive?

jainesh, the new writer, is only helping a system stay stable. unquestioned. the main reason perhaps why he was brought in. cut ipk down to the level of all serials.

thankfully, nani survived fairly intact despite that.

i also note that the man, who really hasn't been through all the woman things including pregnancy, went to consult another specialist, a fine sensible decision i'd say. one my mother would have taken.

and the good girl sat muttering, being "good", not trusting this man... and will soon decide what she needs to do is go to her s man. no not a specialist.

and they will make asr apologise to khushi? like he doesn't care for his sis's life, she does more... also knows more. i am a woman and i do believe our voice is never really heard, but that does not mean what is wrong is not wrong.

sigh, i miss my man. and he did look gorgeous running down the stairs. his voice of reason excites me.

I keep thinking this.. if the content had the power to move I will blindly believe earrings have a mind to stick to shirts when worn by handsome men, and dupattas are made with the sole reason of caressing that picture perfect stubble.

But now heart remains unmoved, so brain must process.. and end up finding the innumerable loopholes.
