I strongly disagree ...Sorry just my opinion.....I just dont understand why cant an indian men and indian women's intimacy with each other cannot be shown on TV.even a kiss is banned...its mind boggling seriously........The moment they start doing that.......the janta starts throwing eggs at them...........Geet being a women...if she desires a guy and if they show that on tv....why is thatt so wrong.........just coz she is a women......whats wrong with club dancing and etc......i personally want to see Geet going bold......and i am tired of the silly characters who are self sacrificing...well cultured...who cries all the time on tv.....gisa pita saas bahu saga......i personally want to see a matured luv story between 2 people....

I am loving this track.....i have expectation from this show...and so far the cv's are trying to break k the barriers and i applaud them for that....

I like the story line.
Its very real and straight forward! Cities like Mumbai and Delhi are very modernized and is not the same as before (have been to Delhi and have relatives there). The villages are still *cultural* i guess you could say but even the villages have changed a lot!

I prefer this story line than other serials that show wayward bakwas about khandhan ka waaris or make it totally about wealth or regular saas-bahu dramas with weak women who only cry. If that is indian culture, i dont want to see any of it.

i think geet is not enough bold yet ....
why cant they kiss each other ..?????
they bt going to do any PDA
they will manage it by camera n art of photography ...
they can express their love////geet can express
she has full right to do it .....nt jus because she is a halfmarried woman deserted by her husband.....
and if anytging more occurse ....
whats the problem...
u didnt consider it westernized when dev had the suhag rat and left her ......
maan was with her all through ...will be with her ...so cant they LOVE each other
tell me one good thing ...a fake marriage with suhagrat is welcomed but nt a true love ...submission to the desire ..??????
why ..???

i personally think geet is not bold enough ....
they loves each other unconditionally and unspoken promise is there for being with each other ...
so y cant geet express her love.......desire ,....
its not westernization ...!!! its simply expression of her love....doesnt she hav the right as beause she belongs to a rural punjab village ..????
she doesnt deserve to do anything normal and natural ..??
she can kiss maan ...even they can move beyond just a kiss....
expression of love is not westernized....
they definitely wont show the kiss .....it wud be managed by camera n art of photography ....
so ...?
u dint think of westernization when dev left her after spending the night ....
so a false shadi and a real suhagrat is welcomed ......rather than a submission to true love and promise of being together whole life..?????
does only marriage give the full right of the expression of love ...even if there is no love .....???
please think and tell me ....which one is better ......!!!!

I respect your opinion but I strongly disagree.

Wearing western attire or speaking English does not make anything western.

I believe it is the values which need to considered before a statement is made. Geet (the show) still follows traditional Indian values and traditions.

1. Even though Geet moved to the city to be independent and fight the world for her right to bring a child into the world, she left Pinky's house as soon as someone pointed a finger at her, not because they had judged her but because she did not want the world to point fingers at Pinky and her father. She still wanted the best for Pinky and didn't want her self respect to questioned. If the show had become to western, she would have continued to stay with Pinky and her father considering that Uncleji told her that she could stay with them and he would not question her. In western society it is not a really big taboo to find a single woman who is pregnant. She doesn't have to worry about what society is thinking.

2. Geet was concerned about working with Maan at night even though she had been safe with him in the past. He saved her life and kept her alive for god sake. How much more safer can a girl feel. If the show was westernized she wouldn't have thought twice. Young women go out clubbing, drinking and have strong friendships with guys without thinking twice, not our Geet.

3. Most of all, if this story was set in a western environment, as soon as Geet had started to feel something for Maan and knowing that Maan felt the same, she would have spilled the beans about her past and let him make the decision if he wanted to be with her or not. She would had been vocal about the hardships she has had regardless of the situation. Yes we don't go around talking to our bosses about personal problems but we do talk to our friends and at this point in time, Maan is more like a friend than a boss, even though it their relationship is not defined as friends. But no Geet being more Indian in emotional mentality has decided that she will not hurt Maan by telling him the truth or let him know her feelings as it isn't fair to him.

Indian values teach us to put other's happiness ahead of our own happiness, western society on the other hand views happiness as a right. Take the US's Declaration of Independence- it considers 'Life Liberty and the pursuit of happiness as unalienable rights of man. If the show had become westernized she would have been running no sprinting into Maan's arms to fulfill her own happiness. But no our Geet is sweet and Indian.

4. Also Maan left the outhouse (I laugh every time I write outhouse, I wish they had called it guest house) because he wanted Geet to stay. In a western society he would have continued living with her in the outhouse. It is perfectly normal for a guy and girl to live together in western society.

Well these points make sense in my head, I am sure they may not make sense to all but it is my opinion.

what makes u think geet is getting westernized ...!!
rather its showing bold indian woman who has the values of indian culture in herself....
every where there shud be comparisn betwn bad n good to understand the depth of good...thats y they are showing short skirts ..and geet in salwar suit ....
geet is real .///rather than other saas bahu serials..... a guy has more then 9 children and 4 wives...busy in typical kitchen politics..who is fighting for her identity .....a protagonist !!!!!
what u expect to show them sacrificing their love for each other and going to the jungle for 14 years .....
lol ...that doesnt happen in this era...so why wud they show something unreal..
what did they do .....a dance ...and a hug ...
whats wrong in that ..?
cant an indian dance or hug ..?????
india is a country that values every culture and takes the good from it ...geet is the representative of that .....
mark my words geet is going to change woman's views ...its going to teach the society to fight for their own.....independence of a woman ..!!
love is the sacred way to reach god.. ....dunia ka sabse pak rishta ..!!!
they deserves love.......
arent they ..??
they are not siblings and shudnt do this things like...
and they are in love.....
they are in pain ...
beacuse of intense love.....
they are not showing anything raw....
they are following indian tv rules..which they are bound to do ...!!
and please dont ask them to turn into a kitchen politics ....ornaments and typical jealousy .....always husband going out for extramarrital affair .....wife crying basket full and saas trying for remarriage ......and people calls it indian culture
waaaaaaaaaaah !!! what a way to teach people indian culture !!!!!
we love geet as it is........and u have to accept that hoshiyarpur is far away from delhi ......and surely they can visit a club for once in their life at least ....for the movement of the story....a successful business tycoon and a innocent girl ............whats wrong if they hav visited disco for once .????
we have full faith of GEET HSP team ...they will show the best
and yaa....sorry if i m being rude.......i dont want to be trust me ....i respect ur opinion aabout it ...........
but ....please don mind ....i hav to say it
please skip watching it if u find it not ur types.....but please dont ask cvs to change its content .
.thank u i hope u will not misunderstand...
CAZ ITS REAL .......................AND WE LOVE THE REAL THING !!!!!!

Janaki said nothing about that.
Hey that was uncalled for...and kind of rude compared to her entry post. If you are worrying about us going to the CV's, don't worry we won't. She did say she doesn't expect anyone to agree with her ;) You don't have to get so heated, relax.

99% shows on indian TV are showing it, all saas bahu kitchen politics etc, all backward stories, issues based like UP, haryana, Rajasthan backgrounds....u can watch that

out of so many shows if (geet is not but still if u guys r feeling) it has becoming westernized then its good na for a change 😃

No I can't stand those saas bahu serials. I actually like Geet, was just getting defensive of people firing at my sister.😳

I hate phrases like "westernized" or "indianized"... let's aim for HUMANIZED!

-A world where a girl, who is cheated and mistreated, finds footing for herself and the child she has been blessed with and wants to keep
- A world where injustice is not tolerated but, STOOD UP against
- A world where we are allowed to LOVE and BE LOVED by our Partners not judged by them
- A world where a woman's choices regarding her own self and body are RESPECTED and not CONDEMNED in the name of convenience and societal rules
If Geet depicts such things then KUDOS to the CVs for projecting a HUMANIZED WORLD
As for your opinion, if you don't like the serial then don't watch it. Everyone shall respect your decision not to continue watching.
Attire or location does not in any case define what an individuals values are. People in jeans may value "equity, equality, and justice" just as those in dhoti like Gandhiji or those with a sword/gun like Bhagat Singh. In Geet so far, her character has grown... she has risen to the challenges that life has thrown at her...semi-force marriage.. abandonment by husband... betrayal by family....moving to a big city... tackling office politics... and taming a wounded beast (MSK). And to my mind she has done so with DIGNITY though not always grace (as she has no balance🤣🤣)
- As for the PDA ten, u will see loads more on most indian shows... Juss check out Jhansi ki Rani😆😆 Yup! Thats one historicaly "indian" show😛 Hugs, tugs, and eyelocks are happening all accross indian t.v. world and has been having since the b&w film days... so, Geet has not broken any societal norms that Dev Anand, etc. have not
