Next Part....here...guys My head hurts yaar...from all this mad thinking!!!! Neways I am trying to move onto phase TWO of Maaneet - FRIENDSHIP! Hope you like this part....I have written and re-written and again re-written it...Damn! I was sooooo frustrated at the end of it...thrice....I was stupid not to save it and due to power failure lost my work...I hope really that this attempt is worth your comments....

PART 11
"So....basically it is a case of attraction without any expenditure of feelings involved...Yaani ki its all about Body chemistry...Maine Google karke check kar liya...Mere saare symptoms attraction ko match kartein hain....You are able to understand na what I am saying?" she kept blabbering on while parading up and down her room.

Her eyes rested on the only other person in the room....but he was not listening to her...he was busy with his hotwheels....

"Vivaan....Please main tumse kuch keh rahi hoon....At least pretend karo ki tum mere baat sun rahe ho..." she snatched off his car.

Vivaan looked up at her and pouted...."Geet di and Maan...no love ...only attraction" he repeated robotically.

Geet broke into a laugh at his tone and ruffled his hair. She gave him back his hotwheels set.

"Dekho Dadi ne hume Khurana Mansion bulaya hain...Lunch ke liye. You will be on your best behaviour...okie my Prince!"

Vivaan looked up at her ...his small eyes rounded with mischeif.

"Best behaviour?" he asked.

Geet lifted him up and fondly rubbed her nose against his tiny one..."Yep best behaviour....Ab chalo...jaldi se woh red waala shirt pehen lo...Ekdum spiderman dikhoge...."

She helped him with his clothes. She had been surprised in the morn when his parents had turned up with him at her door requesting her to take care of him for the day as they had some urgent work to attend. Geet and Dadi had already made plans for the day but nothing in which Vivaan couldn't be included.

It was a national holiday and according to Dadi .....Maan was still sleeping cosily in his bed owing to a rough cold .................courtesy Geet.

Dadi had invited her over for lunch...and now Vivaan would be tagging along with her.

"Hey Babbaji bacha lena iss baar...." she prayed fervently that Maan stayed in bed.

"Arre Geet....Zara upar jaakar Maan se milkar aao" Dadi suggested.

Vivaan was busy playing with Pearl. Dadi and Geet had been having a comfortable chat since the past half an hour. Geet had been relieved that she hadn't had to face Maan. Though she had come with full preparation.

She looked up at Dadi in confusion...Had she heard it right? Dadi was asking her to go and check on the angry lion sleeping in his den. She gulped and stood up.

She walked upto his room and stood outside the door. Two packages were there in her hand. She had picked them up on the way to the Mansion. She had foreseen that even on a National Holiday she couldn't be spared the fortune of seeing "Maan's sadoo shakal". It would do her no good to aggravate him....

She lifted her hand and knocked hesitatingly.

"Aaaacchhhhooooo!" a loud sneeze greeted her followed by a soft "Come in...."

She opened the door and stumbled in.

He was lying on the bed....wrapped up in blankets. His nose was cutely red and his eyes were watery....Geet hadn't been prepared to see him like this......looking so vulnerable. Her heart did a flip.

"Tum!!!!" he howled.

She reflexed and took a step back. He pushed aside the covers and attempted standing up in anger....But his balance was muddled and he nearly fell back. Geet hurried forward and took hold of him arm.

He looked at her angrily but she smiled back apologetically at him.

"Yeh tumhare liye hain..." she handed him both the packages.

He looked ta her suspiciously...."Kya hain?"

"Bull Shit!" Geet winked.

Maan ripped open the wrapping a box of ' D-COLD TOTALs' fell out. He stared at it long.....

"Tum pagal bhi nahi...usse kuch zyaada ho..Thanks anyways for these!" he laughed.

His laughter did some funny thing to her stomach and she heard it echoing in her heart.

"Only attraction....not anything else..." she reminded herself.

He reached forward for the next package but Geet caught his hand..."Ab bhi nahi...baad mein..."

"Kyun? Love letter hain ismein?" Maan cheekily asked her.

"Nahi suicide note..." Geet coughed back.

Maan smiled..."Baitho...waise tumne mujhe bridge se push kyun kiya?"

"Accidentally..." she sat down on his bed. His lack of energy seemed to have reduced his fighting zeal. He was talking rather normally.....infact waaay too normal for both of them.

"Oh!!! I thought you had planned to kill me..."

"No ways...." she responded too quickly.

"But you hate me though..." he added.

"Nothing of that sort....you just to rub my wrong side..." she lowered her voice.

The door creaked open and Vivaan toddled in...he saw Geet sitting next to Maan and giggled audilbly....."Geet di loves Maan .....not only attraction...."

He had mixed up the sentence that Geet had actually told him. She had been foolishly talking to him about her growing attraction to Maan and had told him..."Geet and Maan..only attraction ..... not Love!" The little fellow had jumbled up all the words and come up with a wondrous..."Geet di loves Maan...not only attraction!"

Geet felt herself go red...and Maan looked at Vivaan.... fully stumped by his sentence.

"Vivaan.....kuch bhi bol lete ho...Jao..neeche jaake Pearl ke saath khelo. Dadi ne tumhare liye ek naya hotwheels order kiya hain...Unse jaake pooncho..." Geet tried diverting the topic. Vivaan seemed to cause her such irreparable damages! Uffff!!!

Vivaan ran out of the room closing the door. The mention of hotwheels did the trick.

"What was that about?" Maan eyed Geet in an addled manner.

"Nothing....He was just blabbering...." she diverted.

Maan noticed Geet's chin quivering...only the previous night he had realized that Geet was seriously beautiful....today she looked even better. The taxiwaalas clothes were gone....His father's choice was actually great he agreed mentally.

"Here you go both of you...Dadi has sent your trays up...You both can have lunch here only.." Pearl handed them the trays and went off.

Geet stared hard at her plate....as if some interesting pattern were developing in the food. Maan felt her totally mellowed down today.....She wasn't her usual self. No bubbly chatter...no constant jabs....something seemed amiss.

"Geet...is there something you want to tell me?" he asked her softly.

She looked at him....but still she couldn't see the whole of him. Only his eyes were visible....His deep and penetrating eyes. She shook her self...and hastily glanced away...and back at his shirt. It was a superman one.

"Actually yes..." she found her voice.

"Go On......I am listening...." Maan studied her face.

"Do you prefer Chaddi in ya Chaddi out?" she blurted.

Maan dropped the spoon...aghast at her question...."Kya?"

Geet ran her tonue over her dry lips and repeated...."Chaddi in ya out?"

"Are you okay? See...I think you need a week off...Apply for a leave Geet...." he scorned.

"Answer the question..." she pestered.

"Okay...Chaddi in!" he told with a digusted expression.

"Then why are you wearing chaddi out?" she complained.

Maan glanced at himself in fright. He was dressed in stretch pants and a tee shirt.

"What do you mean?" he asked sharply.

Geet realized that her complain had sounded really out of line.

"I only meant why are you wearing a Superman tee-shirt instead of spiderman?"

"Oh oh.....you had me thinking something else.....!" Maan let out a breath.

Geet giggled...'Chaddi in' was Spiderman's feature while 'Chaddi out' was Superman's......

"Well actually I do prefer Spiderman...." Maan smiled.

"Let's have our food before it gets cold...and then I have something I wanted to show you....." Geet returned the smile.

Maan agreed and they both quickly completed their food.

"Ab dikhao..." Maan rubbed his hands together. Geet reached out for the other package and tore it open.....Out fell a card.

"I am speechless...Thanks. Its okay..." he gave Geet a nod.

"Let us make an ice cream pact...." she suggested.

"A what?" he stuffed the card under his pillow.

"Wait a second...I'll be right back..." she sprinted out of the room.

Maan removed the card again and let his fingers run over it. It was really a sweet gesture. This girl was probably the strangest of the opposite sex that breathed.

She reappeared after five minutes holding two bowls with choco ice-cream scoops.....

"Geet...I am down with heavy cold....." he pointed out.

"Haven't you heard? Pain kills Pain, Poison stops poison, Diamond cuts Diamond...similarly...Cold overcomes cold...Trust me" she stuffed the bowl in his hand.

"So what is this ice-cream pact of yours?" he asked again.

"Simple...you repeat the oath after me and then you feed me a spoon and I'll feed you a spoon...okay?" She looked like a five year old. She was soooooooo excited. Maan could feel eagerness exuding from her.

"I am ready..." he simpered.

Geet cleared her throat dramatically and began....

"I, Maan Khurana hereby promise that I will not quarrel with Geet Handa for any reason. I will try my best and put in my greatest efforts to develop our friendship. I will under no circumstances be rude to her or shout at her. And most importantly I will agree to the fact that she is the best and rightly better than me....."

Maan repeated the whole oath sincerely halting only at the last sentence. One frown from Geet made him complete the oath.

"Now lie back there and salute...." she ordered. He narrowed his eyes and commented "You are a scheming little devil..."

"Now there...you are breaking your oath...You are being rude.." Geet was having the time of her life seeing him succumb to her wishes.

"Fine...Here you go!" He saluted her.

"Now come closer..." she scooped up the ice-cream and bent forward to place it in his mouth.

He took the scoop and did the same....She nervously downed the ice-cream. His nearness had again alerted her defences. She only hoped this time she didn't turn over the ice-cream bowl on his head.

"Great...so the ice-cream pact is sealed..." he placed the empty bowl on the bedstand.

"Yeah..." Geet continued eating off her bowl.

"That calls for a Friendship hug..." and he leaned forward pulling her into a warm and bear-sized hug!

Geet was completely caught off guard. The ice-cream bowl tilted over and inspite of the coldness of it trickling down her dress...the heat of his hug was more overpowering.

"Uh oh!" he broke apart seeing the mess on his shirt and her dress.

"Great...now I can start wearing 'Chaddi in' Tee shirts instead..." he grinned.

"AAAAAaaaaccchhhhooooo!"

This time it was Geet who sneezed!

I went through the same thing before, terrible experience..From then onwards..i saved my work ASAP..😆

Coming to your FF, oh i just love it! First of all thank you so much for bringing back Vivan for this scene..He is so adorable! Love this cute boy!

The way he mixed up the sentences..😆.....

LOL at that chaddi in and chaddi out thing...Geet is so random..and unpredictable! I esp loved how she was reassuring herself that it is just attaction and nothing else...Me hope it's more than that..😉...and wow i didn't expect Maan to come forward and hug Geet..that took me by surprise as well! 😆..But i love it, love how he is opening up to Geet..and being so comfortable with her...plus what a cool ice cream promise! 😆...Esp that last line of the swear...bechara Maan....was too sick to fight back with her..that he agreed to that line...

I can only imagine him arguing with her if he wasn't sick..Love how you ended it with Geet sneezing instead....and will say it again..I loved Vivan! Hoping for more scenes of him in the future.....😛.He seems to be bringing Maan and Geet closer..😳

That was amazingly superb! I loved how their friendship began.......so cute and sarcastically funny......lolz.........Vivaan is such a cute devil.......and Dadi is cool.......I loved how Geet gave him those gifts......the ice-cream pact.....making him salute her.....lolz.....and that hug......it was all great! Do continue soon.
