The Dangers of Alcohol and Jealousy
Once everyone arrives at club, Karan immediately goes up to the bouncer and tells him to let them in. Once they're in the club, four guys come up to them. Karan cringes when he sees them.
"Karan, won't you introduce us to your friends?" says the first guy. "Of course bhai" says Karan, "Guys, this is my oldest brother Kunal, who owns this club. This is Kartik, my other older brother. That's Kabir, my younger brother. And there's Keshav, the baby of the family." "I'm not a baby" protests the 17 year-old boy.
"Whatever you say kiddo" says Saara, ruffling his hair. "Isn't it past your bedtime?" asks Varun, raising an eyebrow. Karan laughs and says "Varun, I think I finally like you." Keshav marches away as his brothers go after him.
"Your brothers seem interesting" says Sharon. "Oh, you don't the half of it" says Karan, "Now come on, let's party!"
Dehradun
While their friends were partying, Arjun and T were at a couples' dance contest, hoping that their act won. "And the winner of this dance competition is" begins the announcer, "Tanushree Ambolkar and Arjun Khurana from Mount College!"
Hearing their names, T begins jumping up and down and clapping. She enthusiastically hugged Arjun, and walked up to the announcer. Arjun was slightly taken aback by the hug, but followed his partner to get their trophy. They held up their trophy, pride and joy evident on their faces.
As they walk outside with their trophy, Arjun asks T "Did you bring your car?" "No" says T "Did you?" "No" replies Arjun. "Well I guess we're walking home then" says T.
After a couple minutes of walking in silence, T and Arjun look at each other and burst out laughing. "So, you excited for St.Louis?" asks T. "I'm stoked!" exclaims Arjun, "After being apart for so long, the whole gang will finally be together." "Yeah, it feels great" says T, "So, you want to keep this trophy? I mean, I kept all the others so..."
"No" Arjun says quickly, causing T to raise her eyebrows. Arjun sighs and says "I don't want Aisha breaking it in a fit of rage." "God Arjun, why do you care so much about that girl?" demands T. "Because she's my sister, and she's my responsibility. We only have each other okay?" explains Arjun.
"You have us Arjun" whispers T. "You know what I mean" protests Arjun. "No, I don't know what you mean!" shouts T, "Your sister is a nightmare. She is a spoiled, manipulative brat! She has never shown any sadness about your parents' death. She has never shown any care for you. You act like this tough guy, but you let her walk all over you?"
Once she's satisfied with her monologue, T begins to walk away, but Arjun grabs her wrist, and pulls her back towards him. T can see a mix of emotions in his eyes, but his rage overpowers them all.
Nightclub
"My brothers are pigs" groans Karan. "Can't argue with that" says Varun, taking a sip of his beer. "Look at them! The minute they see a cute girl in heels, they're all over her" rants Karan, "It doesn't even matter that they've known her for years and she thinks of them as her own brothers!" "Cute girl huh?" asks Varun, wiggling his eyebrows teasingly. Karan's cheeks turn slightly pink as he groans and says "Of course! How could I forget that I'm talking to Varun "one-track mind" Mittal."
"Hey, I take offense to that" says Varun, dramatically. "At least you're not as bad as my brothers" says Karan, "Sure you're a total player, but you're not a heart-breaker. And you take responsibility for your actions. Plus, your habits have kind of died down. My brothers on the other hand, are total jerks."
"Whoa, are you two actually having a civilized conversation?" asks Swayam, walking up to his best-friends. Karan and Varun give him a look that makes him say "Sorry, bad joke." "No sh*t Einstein" mutters Karan. "What's up his a**?" asks Swayam. "His brothers, what else" explains Varun. "Okay come on, your brothers are not that bad" says Swayam, trying to comfort his friend. "Think again Romeo" says Karan, turning Swayam towards the dance floor, where he sees Sharon dancing with one of Karan's brothers.
"I will kill them" says Swayam, in calm tone that can make shivers go up your spine. Karan and Varun look at each other when Swayam says this, and take a couple steps away from their usually sweet and lovable best-friend.
"I'm just glad Yuvi isn't here" whispers Varun. "I know right" says Karan, "We'd be bailing him out of jail by now if he was here." "Where is he anyway?" asks Varun. "I don't know, he didn't say" replies Karan. "You don't think-" begins Varun, but Karan cuts him off saying "No way! He told us he was done with that, right?"
Dehli
"3, 2, 1" chants the crowd, waiting to see if the fighter is going to get up or not. And he didn't. "Yuvraj Ambolkar wins again!" exclaims the referee. "Woo!" shouts the majority of the crowd.
Yuvraj smirks as he gets out of the rink. You think as fighter, the boy would have razor sharp instincts. But no. Instead, he jumps when his phone rings. He looks at the caller ID, and starts sweating. He accepts the call and nervously says "Hi Aliya."
"Hey Hero!" yells Aliya, enthusiastically. "Hi" says Yuvraj. "You said that already" Aliya says slowly, suspicion evident in her voice. "Whoops" says Yuvraj. "Yuvraj, are you hiding something from me?" asks Aliya. "No" stutters Yuvraj. "You're lying" says Aliya. "I know" says Yuvraj. "Did you start fighting again?" asks Aliya. "Yeah" Yuvraj slowly, and cautiously, replies.
He can hear his best-friend groaning on the other line. "We agreed you'd stop this Yuvi!" shouts Aliya. "I know, I'm sorry" says Yuvraj, "It was just this once, please don't tell the others." "Fine" hisses Aliya, cutting the call.
Yuvi puts his phone away, and runs his fingers through his hair. "Sh*t" he mutters.
Nightclub
Aliya glares at the bartender, and he immediately knows to hand her a vodka shot. No questions asked, no money taken. Just hand her the beer and avert your eyes. Aliya gulps the whole thing down and slams the glass on the counter. She glares at the bartender, and he hands another three shots, hoping that there's enough to keep this girl satisfied.
From afar, Karan sees his friend and asks Varun "What is wrong with your sister?" Varun looks to where Karan is, and his eyes go wide. "I'm gonna' kill Yuvi" he hisses. "And me and Swayam are going to kill my brothers" Karan says cheerfully, "We're gonna' go to jail together!"
"Are you both drunk and high?" Rey asks Karan, sitting on the bar stool beside him. "Nah, I'm always like this" says Karan. "So you're always drunk and high?" asks Rey. Varun bursts out laughing and says "Rey, I think I actually like you." "So you hated me before?" asks Rey. "Nah" says Varun, "Anya just always b*tches about you. What's up with that anyway?" "We've hated each other since childbirth" says Rey, "Literally. I think our mothers put us in the same crib once, and she scratched me. Of course I bit her back, but that's not the point."
"You know, that might be an interesting story to tell your grand-kids one day" muses Karan. "Are you kidding? These stories are going to be passed down for generations!" exclaims Rey, "What do you think Swayam?"
The boys all turn to Swayam, and him gripping his beer bottle. Oh, and he has his rage face on. The boys nervously look at each other, and Rey slowly goes up to Swayam. "O-kay buddy" he says awkwardly, taking the bottle away from him, as the other two subtle pin him down so he doesn't kill anyone. "Would it make you feel better if I danced with Sharon instead?" asks Rey. "Yes" says Swayam.
As Rey goes to the dance floor to get Sharon away from Karan's brothers, Varun turns to Karan and says "Alright, I'll get your girlfriend away from those things you call brothers." As Varun walks away, Karan yells "She's not my girlfriend!" A moment later, he realizes what else Varun said and yells "And wait, what?!"
Dance Floor
"Sorry, I need to borrow Sharon" says Rey, dragging Sharon away from Karan's brothers.
"What was that?" demands Sharon. "That was me trying to make sure that your loverboy over there doesn't explode like a volcano" explains Rey, with a sarcastic cheerfulness in his voice, "Kind of like you do on a daily basis." "What?" asks Sharon, to which Rey groans in frustration. "Sharon!" he exclaims, "You know, you're so dumb sometimes!"
Sharon's jaw drops to the floor at what she hears. She crushes her heel into Rey's toes furiously. "What the hell Sharon?!" demands Rey. "That was for calling me dumb" she says sweetly. "The things I do for that curly haired freak" mutters Rey.
And then he yelps in pain. He glares at Sharon who just dug her other heel into his other set of toes. "What did I do now?!" demands Rey. "You called my Swayam a curly haired freak!" hisses Sharon, "You totally deserved that!"
Rey groans and thinks very bad thoughts about his two best-friends. And then thanks Krishnaji for not making Sharon a mind-reader.
As Rey suffers from crushed toes, Varun is currently in a similar situation. Except he's suffering from bruised shins. How did this start again? Oh right. Varun went up to Saara, and said "Hey dork, I gotta' talk to you."
That's how he earned that first kick in his shin. "Ow!" he screams. "That's what you get for calling me a dork" growls Saara, "Now tell me what you want Jerkface." "Hey, I'm just doing this so your boyfriend doesn't kill his brothers out of jealousy" says Varun defensively. "My what?" demands Saara, clearly confused. "Your Karan" replies Varun, rolling his eyes. "What are you talking about?" asks Saara. Varun sighs dramatically, and says "Look at him. He's beyond pissed off right now. And I think he looks even more pissed now that I'm dancing with you." "He's just being protective" protests Saara.
"Or maybe you just don't want to get your hopes up" says Varun, raising his eyebrow. "Let me go Mittal" mutter Saara. "Not yet" says Varun, smirking.
And that's how he got that other kick in his shin. "Would ya' stop doing that?!" demands Varun. Saara groans and says "Fine!"
He drags her over to more or less the center of the dance floor, just as an upbeat salsa beat starts playing. "What are you doing?" asks Saara. "Sleeping" says Varun sarcastically, "What does it look like I'm doing?! I'm dancing. Try and keep up." Saara wanted to slap that cocky grin off his face so badly, but instead, she smirks and says "You're the one that needs to keep up Mittal."
Bar
"I don't know what's worse" groans Karan, "Saara dancing with my brothers, or Mittal." He looks at the two frenemies once again and growls "Definitely Mittal!" He turns to Swayam and asks "Are you even listening to me?" But Swayam just flat out ignores him and keeps his eyes glued to Sharon. "Guess not" mutters Karan."
He then turns to look at the other side of the bar where Aliya was currently on her 10th shot. He walks over to her and says "You know, drinking your problems away isn't healthy. I mean, it didn't work for Aditya Roy Kapoor in Aashiqui 2. Or Devdas. You should know that better than anyone, Miss Filmy." "Shut up" mumbles Aliya, gulping down another shot, even though she's clearly drunk.
As the bartender hands Aliya another shot, Karan grabs it before she can even blink. "Give it back!" warns Aliya. "No" says Karan, gulping down the entire thing, just to piss her off. Aliya groans and asks "Why can't you let me drink my sorrows away?" Karan gives her a look and softly asks "What's wrong Angel?" Aliya sighs and says "Nothing. Come on, let's dance!" She drags him to the dance floor, despite his protests, and they start dancing.
Meanwhile with Swayam, he's just glaring at Rey. Simmi and Nilesh walk over to him. "What's up Swayam?" asks Nilesh, but Swayam clearly does not give a damn. He turns to Simmi and says "Simmi, let's dance." "What?" asks Simmi. "Dance with me" says Swayam. "I'm sorry, but I don't want my best-friend murdering me tonight" says Simmi. Swayam chuckles, and Simmi can tell he's drunk. "I'll take care of her" says Swayam, grabbing her hand as Nilesh burns a hole into his skull. But before heading there, he turns back to Nilesh and requests "Hey Nil, do me a favor and dance with my sister. I don't trust those guys." Nilesh nods his head, and heads to the dance floor.
Dance Floor
"Hi, can I steal Taani away from you? Thanks" says Nil, not even bothering to get an answer. Taani turns to him and smiles. "Thanks" she says, "Sorry about bhai. I know he put you up to this." Nil smiles back and says "No problem. By the way, do you know why Rey looks like he's about to pounce on me?" "Um, I'm not quite sure" says Taani. "Eh, he's probably jealous" says Nil.
"Excuse me?" asks Taani. "Oh please Taani, everyone can see it! Rey likes you, and you've started to like him too" says Nilesh. As Taani starts to protest, Nil cuts her off by saying "Don't you dare deny it!" Taani sighs and keeps dancing.
On the other hand, Rey is going crazy seeing Taani dance with someone other than him. Sharon notices her best-friend's anger and says "Rey, stop staring at Taani. You'll scare the poor girl." Rey turns to Sharon and grumbles "I'm not staring." Sharon gives him a look, and Rey mumbles "Okay fine, maybe I was staring a little." "A little?" demands Sharon, "Nil looks ready to pee his pants." "Whatever" mutters Rey.
"Well on the bright side, looks like Taani's leaving the dance floor" says Sharon. "What?" says Rey, like an excited puppy. "She's heading to the bar, and she just downed three shots" explains Sharon, "Wait no, five." "Crap" mutters Rey, leaving Sharon alone on the dance floor.
Sharon's jaw drops on the floor for the second time that night as she sees her best-friend leave. She's about to follow him when a familiar hand grips her wrist. She turns around and sees Swayam. "Hi" says Swayam. "Hi" says Sharon, "Where's Simmi?" "I don't know" says Swayam. "Swayam, are you drunk?" asks Sharon. "No" he says in a little kid voice. "Yup, he's drunk" mutters Sharon, as she tries to drag Swayam off the dance floor, despite his protests.
"Rey, this one's drunk" says Sharon. "So is his sister" says Rey, pointing to the wide-eyed, smiling Taani. "And so is this girl" says Karan, bringing Aliya over to the bar.
"Um, guys, I think Simmi's drunk too" says Nilesh, walking over to the bar, pointing to Simmi. "Sh*t" says Sharon, walking over to Simmi and bringing her to the bar.
"Okay, I'll go find the others" says Nilesh.
20 minutes later
"Next time, one of you guys is getting Amar and Rinni, and Vicky and Neha" hisses Nilesh, his face bright red. Everyone can tell what the poor boy probably walked in on. "Noted" says Sharon, trying to get that image out of her mind.
"So is everyone here?" asks Karan. "No, Varun and Saara aren't here" says Vishaka. "Look, they're still on the dance floor" says Rey. Karan snaps his head towards the dance floor, and sees Saara and Varun. Still there, and still dancing. "Oh hell no" mutters Karan, walking over to the dance floor.
"Time to go guys" says Karan. Saara and Varun look at each other, and follow Karan to the bar. Once they reach the bar, Rey says "Okay so, Karan can take Aliya, Saara, Taani and Varun in Aliya's car. I'll take Swayam and the other guys in my car. And then Sharon you can take Simmi and the other girls in your car." Everyone nods, and heads out to their cars.
