Then she realized. Of course, he was talking of his lunch meeting with the delegates. Not themalone. She also realized that he was a faithful man. Even though it was nothing more than a lunch, he would never do it. He loved his wife dearly. 'I hope someday I can find someone like him'. Ruby took the files and was about to leave when Veer returned. "Sir, aren't we going yet?" "Yes, we are. You go ahead. I'll be down in a few min." "OK Sir, I'll wait at the lobby."

When Ruby was gone and Veer was alone, he took out a photo of both the leading ladies in his life. His mom and Ananya. "Wish me luck" and kissed the photographs without realizing that someone was watching him. He took his coat and bag and walked towards the elevator. Completely forgetting about the special lunch his 'dearest wife' had cooked for him.

Thanks to all those who pressed the like button and/or commented

Here's the A part of the 3^rd part'it's a bit small'but I'm a li'l pressed for time..PMs will be sent later

Part III A

Veer and Ruby entered the 5-star hotel where they were supposed to meet the delegates. They walked into the restaurant where they had reserved a table and waited for the delegates. Veer felt a bit nervous since this was a big deal for his firm and his boss had promised him a promotion if he could make it.

Nivi and Anu were tired of thinking of ideas. When one would find something, the other rejected it. Nothing seemed to work. So they decided to have their lunch first and then think about it. Anu enjoyed her time listening to anecdotes from Veer's childhood.

Soon after Nivi received a call from the orphanage head regarding a charity function they were holding next week. So she had to leave immediately. "I'm so sorry, beta. But I know you two will make up and he loves you too much to be angry at you. And thanks for the wonderful lunch."Nivi told Anu while leaving. "It's ok, Mom. And thanks for coming. Do visit soon." They hugged and Nivi kissed Anu's forehead asking her to take care and left.

The delegates arrived and their lunch meeting progressed smoothly. The delegates seemed impressed by Veer's prowess and his presentation. Veer felt it to be very likely that he would cut the deal.

Here Anu was a bit distraught as to what to do. She was not scared that he would be too raged or something. Nivi mom was right. He loved her too much for that. But she knew that bad food completely put off his mood. She didn't want to upset him. And what if he shared his tiffin with someone? It would be so embarrassing for him. Oh god, what had she done?

'Yes! Yes! I've done it!' Veer exclaimed mentally when the delegates gave the final nod and signed the papers. After congratulating him, the delegates finally left.

It had started raining outside; a very likely event for Mumbaikars in September. Their official luncheon had stretched a bit and it was already 5pm. He called his boss to inform him about the deal. His boss sounded happy and told him that now his promotion was guaranteed and also gave him leave for the day. He was thankful that he had got his laptop bag along and needn't go back to the office. So after making sure that Ruby got an auto, he himself caught an auto heading towards home. He contemplated on whether he should call and tell Anu. "No, I'll surprise her by returning early and then tell her the good news."

Anu finally decided to leave everything to fate. She would face it as it would come. She was not Ananya for nothing. And with this resolve she got down to complete her notes.
