I don't know what I am gonna say is right or not but hear my theory from maker's perspective :

The makers didn't have much of a choice here, they had already gone wrong in anticipating the consequences of showing acp's death, so they might have panicked and failed to produce a good story to eyegang tussle.

So when they created this mole in the team thing, they did not want it to be mild surprise, that's why they thought why not make Salunkhe the traitor, this will be a big surprise to the audience than showing newly joined team members.

But I think they did not give it a proper ending to the story so they might be gambling with showing salunkhe as traitor, if audience will accept him as traitor they will keep it as it is and if audiences showed disappointment towards the story, they will change it.

So I think They will decide to change or to not change story accordingly to audience preferences as they did this with ACP Pradyuman

As i mentioned b4 I don't believe that salunkhe is a real traitor..definitely some one else coz salunkhe explained the excuses to join Barbosa r so lame and weak ,I don't think so coz of this he became traitor. Its preplanned to catch real traitor. And if ayushman is innocent police officer then y would he burned acps pictures in one episode 🤔? Still its not cleared out ..for nothing 2 new girls they added on ..now tarika might come and Shreya..its khichdi..I guess story writers wanted to give the viewers little different story instead they did a boo boo👎 I don't trust acp yet .

Dr.Tarika as a forensic expert is fine, but in my opinion, she is not a match to Abhijeet's character. (I place this opinion earlier on this Forum) and also Shreya as a love interest to Daya is also inappropriate.

There is an imporatnt aspect of budget constraint in CID. To finish off EYE Gang, CID may have to go for a foreign trip, but it may be costly.

If I'm correct, the debut of EYE Gang was in 2016 or 2017. An Episode in which the culprit committed suicide as he was working for a Syndicate and the Syndicate was EYE. It was shown in the climax and they were untraceable. At that time, majority of the members in this Forum, praised the logic of the Episode, saying that CID is unable to catch a large Syndicate having worldwide network. Back in 1999, there was a similar Episode : THE CASE OF VANISHING LADY, in which a Criminal named VASUDEV gets off from the hands of CID. But CID spoiled the plan of Vasudev in murdering a VIP.

The CID should not have proceeded with the EYE Gang case after its debut Episode. Now to close the EYE Gang case, the producers may cost a lot and to recover its Break Even Point, it may be very difficult task.

I agree with this. I like Dr. Tarika as a forensic doctor, but I never liked her opposite Abhijeet. The way the makers messed up the Abhirika track made me dislike it even more. Dareya, as a pair, was better in comparison, especially since Janvi Chheda is a better actress, sometimes casting really does make a difference. Unfortunately, the makers ruined that track as well. I just hope they give a proper closure to both ships this time.
