This is what happened in the history .When you attempt a historical ,you can not modify the story to suit the present sensiblities .You have to present the story in sync with that time .

The director says she wanted to change history to get Sadashiv Rao killed in the interval...so i don't think we can guarantee whatever is there was how it actually happened

The best part was that my daughter , after the movie said she was supporting team India and she wanted to be fearless like the queen.
That's exactly why this movie needs to be seen.

My son was asking me questions on freedom struggle and what happened next.

Movie may have taken cinematic liberties but the intention was clear, to introduce Jhansi ki Rani and to give us a glimpse of what she endured and her ultimate sacrifice to the motherland

Dont know about your experience but for me,
when my daughter after the movie said that she wanted to be fearless like the queen and how she was supporting Team India...that was enough for me.

I wanted to see how the woman about whom we all read about came alive on screen. To even get a glimpse of what she went through was enough for me.

This is completely false

In the movie, Sadashiv Rao in fact is not killed and put in jail by the British and he is definitely alive way after interval.

Not. They have a disclaimer admitting it's not historically accurate. She ditched history and made a film to appeal broadly to the masses' patriotism/nationalism. Let's see if she's as good at manipulating the public as she's been in the past.

that means she found a workaround to not kill him, but still keep him out of the story...

Anyways, whatever twisterfry has shared, I doubt If we should call it Laxmi Bai's biopic... just like Sanju cannot be called Sanjay Dutt's biopic cause it erased two people from his life completely... same way this cannot be called a biopic but a fictional story...

Can't help but feel sorry for the real Manikarnika. IF only they had cast PC in this movie, we would've had an amazing movie on the great real queen...

@bold - How cute is that Tina. ❤️ So glad you took your daughter to watch this movie. We need great role models like these for our children.
