Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Move to London as ‘They Can’t Enjoy Their Success Here’

Virat Kohli is currently shining bright in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the star batsman has almost touched the 400-run mark. With five fifties already under his belt, Virat holds the second spot in the Orange Cap race. However, apart from his cricketing heroics, the buzz is also strong about his personal life — especially his and Anushka Sharma’s decision to shift their base to London.

Ever since Anushka and Virat welcomed their second child, Akaay, in February 2024, the couple has been seen quite often in London. Now, Virat’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, has confirmed that the cricketer is indeed planning to leave India and settle abroad. “Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He is going to be leaving India and shifting very soon. However, right now, Kohli is spending most of his time with his family apart from cricket," Rajkumar Sharma shared during an interview with Dainik Jagran.

Adding more weight to the news, Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit’s husband, Dr Sriram Nene, spoke about his interactions with the celebrity couple. During a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, Dr Nene said, “I have a lot of respect for him. We’ve met him multiple times; he’s just a decent human being. I’ll tell you something, and this is what you learn: they all put their pants on one leg at a time. We had a conversation with Anushka one day, and it was very interesting.”

He further revealed, "They were thinking about moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success here. We appreciate what they go through because anything they do attracts attention. We almost become isolated. Anushka and Virat are lovely people, and they just want to raise their kids normally."

For those who may not know, Virat and Anushka tied the knot in December 2017 in a beautiful ceremony in Italy. They became proud parents to daughter Vamika in January 2021 and welcomed their baby boy, Akaay, earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli continues to rule the IPL field. With 392 runs in nine matches, he is helping RCB stay strong at the third spot on the points table. The team’s next clash will be against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, April 27.
