Dhurandhar song Fa9la singer Flipperachi hints at possible return in part 2

A song does not always need loud promotion to make an impact. Sometimes, its placement and mood are enough to register with audiences. Fa9la, featured during Akshaye Khanna’s entry scene in Dhurandhar, appears to have done exactly that, continuing to draw attention weeks after the film’s release.

The track has become one of the most recognised elements of the film, with viewers frequently discussing its sound and presence online. Now, singer and producer Flipperachi has hinted that his collaboration with the Dhurandhar universe may not be limited to just one film.

Flipperachi, whose real name is Hussam Aseem and who is based in Bahrain, recently spoke about how Fa9la has changed things for him professionally. In an interaction with India Today, he described the response as unexpected and intense. “To be honest, it’s crazy. My DMs are blowing up every single day. I cannot keep up with the people that are just tagging me for the song and enjoying and vibing with it. So it’s been a crazy, crazy time.”

The song plays during the introduction of Akshaye Khanna’s character Rehman Dakait, setting the tone for his presence in the film. Its energy and rhythm helped underline the seriousness of the character without relying on heavy dialogue or exposition.

As news of Dhurandhar 2 began circulating, attention quickly turned to whether the sequel would carry forward the musical style that stood out in the first film. Fans have been actively asking Flipperachi about his involvement.

While avoiding a direct confirmation, the singer dropped a subtle hint. “I was going to keep it a surprise, but I guess there’s something. I wouldn’t want to tell you everything about it, but yeah, there might be something, yes.” That brief comment was enough to trigger speculation, with many interpreting it as a possible return in the sequel.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Manav Gohil in key roles. The film draws from major geopolitical events such as the Kandahar hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Although details about Dhurandhar 2 remain under wraps, Fa9la’s sustained popularity suggests that music will continue to play an important role. For now, Flipperachi’s comments have added another layer of curiosity around what the sequel might bring.
