Didn't read everything as I watch in a couple of hours... but each time when I read this experience from a ticket paying audience... I only...

I didn't read the spoilers, am watching in another 1 hour

Meanwhile, critics reviews don't matter, the audience is what matters and they have all unanimously given their thumbs up

What the f**k did I watch? How is it getting good reviews? The first half was so bad. The Rani of Jhansi went to fight the British to save a calf, and in gratitude, the owner of the calf throws of her sari and starts dancing?? And the queen joins her? And when the King comes to scold her she faints and a woman, after looking at her eye, says she is pregnant. What the actual f**k? Even the scene depicting her adoption of Damodar made me die inside a bit.

There were some beautifully shot scenes, like the scene where she ignored everyone and wore regal attire and sat on the throne with Damodar on her lap after her husband passed away. But her monologues on deshbhakti, which were inspiring at first, turned preachy real fast.

A one dimensional film with little importance given to side actors and terrible CGI. What are these critics high on???

So Finally saw it

A lot of Goosebumps moments and lump in the throat moments but take a bow Kangna Renaut, she gave life to Jhansi ki Rani.

Her expressions and action scenes were spot on.

Every character played their part. I loved the slow first half slowly transitioning to a fast paced 2nd half. It was slowly building up.

It was basically the story of Manikarnika from an innocent girl, a dutiful wife, a loving mother to a ferocious warrior.

imperfections were there like some scenes were overtly dramatised and cinematic liberties were taken but in the end, I could connect to what they were trying to show.
