Anyways, whatever twisterfry has shared, I doubt If we should call it Laxmi Bai's biopic... just like Sanju cannot be called Sanjay Dutt's biopic cause it erased two people from his life completely... same way this cannot be called a biopic but a fictional story...

Can't help but feel sorry for the real Manikarnika. IF only they had cast PC in this movie, we would've had an amazing movie on the great real queen...

Coz Sadashiv Rao is not kept out of the story, he is put in jail way after he does some stuff.

That's only because Sonu Sood's replacement wasn't as intimidating as he was. Kangana wanted to kill him before the interval because Sonu was so good under Krish's direction.

Before you were saying that she was distorting history , when I clarified that in the movie, Sadashiv is alive after interval and has scenes too before he is put in jail ...

They are not mutually exclusive. She has distorted history and she has removed all other characters. The film has multiple historical flaws - she just dodged another by Sonu's exit. In Krish's version Sonu Sood would have had a significant role and apparently did an amazing job. If he stayed in the role, she wanted him dead at the interval. He left the role so the character got a reprieve.

This doesnt guarantee anything... the fact that she wanted to distort history to get more limelight, shows she has zero regards for the true story...So wouldnt trust her one bit...

Have you watched the movie?

if you haven't, its not fair that you have come to a conclusion based on a article.

I have read Jhansi's history and what is shown comes close , yes its not perfect and cinematic liberties are taken but nowehere is it distorted .

Sadashiv Rao as per history is the brother of Gangadhar who wants the throne and helps the British and thats what is shown too...

most of the characters who supported Jhansi are shown...yes they are not given a substantial role coz this movie isnt about them, they all deserve a biopic of their own. If they are given more role, then this movie wont be about jhansi ki rani but about the freedom movement .

The movie is titled Manikarnika, jhansi ki Rani and thats what you get .
