I think I'm the only person who is extremely pleased that Ranbir isn't a superstar and will never be a superstar.

Yup.

I'm with you. I appreciate his risks a lot more, especially Barfi. Yet to watch BV, but I liked him in the trailer.

I never liked BAH, APKGK, YJHD or Besharam.

It is fun to watch him in unconventional roles. He is unbelievably good in those roles, and that's where his rightful place is. Instead of "superstar".

Could've, would've, should've. These are all opinions based on what could have happened if these superstars had signed this movie. None of them did. Fact is RK did sign the movie and took on role like this knowing the risk involved and knowing the gamble he was taking on his stardom.

I remember the year 2001 when Asoka released and everyone went to watch superstar SRK (age 35) in Asoka.

More power to superstars.

They can sell anything and everything.

You know SRK had far bigger hits prior to that including yearly top grossers and an ATBB (solo hero, and till date the record holder for longest running film) unlike Ranbir.

No comparison here.

Ranbir hasn't achieved anything of this sort even when he doesn't experiment.

Which of Anurag's last movie made 50 crs? 100 crs? What kind of movies is Anurag known to make? How large is the demographic of those who are familiar with Anurag's type of movies?

It was a risk.
