More Figures that prove Ranbir isn't a superstar - Page 5

It's not RK's fault that BV tanked. The same way, it's not his fault that media and production houses were too early to declare him as a superstar without waiting for the storm to settle.

He's had three money-spinners - YJHD (DPad), Rajneeti (Katty), and Ajab Prem (Katty). All three are with top tier actors. His lesser Hits like Barfi (one of the best trending movies of recent years) and Rockstar (again - another acclaimed masterpiece from a director whose BO record is rich) also warrant that RK needs a good script and director to achieve success. He's not the Khans or Akki who can manage Hits even with crappy scripts.

To put it into perspective, Jai Ho was made in 15 crores. They sold it for high prices, but the fact that a Salman cartoon show for 15 crores did as much, if not more as Barfi (more expensive production cost than JH) - one of the most acclaimed movies in recent history - says it all.

There are 3 bona fide superstars in Bollywood - the Khans. After them, it's Akshay followed by Hrithik. RK is closer to Ajay than he is to Akshay/HR, so we could forget about the Khans.

Also, out of all RK movies, only three have worked both in the plexes and the single screen - YJHD, Rajneeti, and Ajab Prem. Do the math now.

Giving one superhit like YJHD with deepika and hit music, doesn't make u a superstar. Those producers should realize that now and stop paying him 32crs, I mean, were they out of their mind?

He deserves 5cr, the opening of his movie, that's it!

And you seem stuck on the fact that Ranbir hasn't had the biggest grosser of the year yet. Here's a fact, since Ranbirs debut nobody except Salman and Aamir have achieved that. So, I'm sure you'll excuse the new kid considering 'superstars' like Hrithik and Srk haven't been able to achieve it either.

Hrithik and SRK are way ahead of Ranbir in their first 10 years. Even first 7 years.

Enough proof has been given on that. You want to ignore it or maybe can't digest it. 😆

WOM hits are how new superstars are born and how they replace old stars.

That's how transition takes place.

BTW hits given after those WOM hits are also there. SRK has DTPH, KKHH, Pardes, so many. Hrithik has KMG, Krissh, JA, Dhoom 2 etc. All top grossers.

You have not seen transition hence you don't know how order changes. 😉

Okay it's valid to say only good films work for Ranbir. But not many people liked Rockstar from what I know..yet it was still a hit.
