Bombay Velvet Opening Day - 5 Crores

Heropanti - Newcomers Tiger/Kirti Opening Day - 6 crores.

Student Of The Year- All Newcomers - Opening Day - 7 Crores

Kill Dill Opening - 6 crores

Haider (Dark film) - 6 crores

Mary Kom Opening Female Lead - 8 Crores

Even if we consider Roy its a 2 hero project, opened at 10 crores - the margin isn't that great. In comparison to :

Hrithik -Bang Bang Opening DAY - 27 Crores

Salman- Kick Opening DAY - 26 Crores

SRK- Chennai Express - 33 Crores

^ I thought Ranbir was supposed to be this category? So how come his movies dont open in the same range? LOL

He is a good actor .. Barfi was awesome and he was super good in that.

But he ain't no superstar to get the kinda opening that should justify his 30 crores fee for BV.

He just made a few script selection mistakes doesn't mean he's not a superstar. Who actually wanted to see Roy and BV. Not a lot of people, so it's not his fault. The film's just didn't appeal to people.

In Ranbir's case people often get confused..
He's a good actor but not superstar..
Movies work for him when they good n don't when they not...like any other actor except for the Khans.

I don't think there wld be superstar in the young a lot anytime soon, if at all

No but he's a damn good actor and that still stands true as shown by the reviews on his acting. I hope he never stops going out of his comfort zone like he did with BV. I'll take an average star that makes mistakes like Besharam along with taking risks like BV and Barfi rather than a superstar who makes a hundred YJHDs in a row.
