I hate this movie soo much...it's at par with another crap movie of Aamir called Mela...total cringeworthy films 🤢

In later years when I learnt it was his biggest hit till then I was shocked. Bigger shock was to learn that gems like JJWS, AAA, Sarfarosh were not clean hits!

I would always wonder how come out of all the other good work he had done, only this film became so successful!

And yes I have mentioned in my post that both AK and Lolo have had better work than this, plus everyone in the film was hamming - supporting cast included. (Johny Lever, Archana Puran Singh, Suresh Oberoi, Navneet Nishan were unbearable)

It does not mean I made this topic only to single out Aamir.

KMG gets trashed here. I like Hrithik but even I say that film is nonsense.

Opinion on one film does not mean actor is hated.

I just talked because All time blockbuster is not an easy status to achieve. I only wonder how this film reached that level.
And it is the truth it is not counted among the best or critically acclaimed - either for Aamir or Lolo.

I'm a fan of Karishma Kapoor, why I would trash her biggest hit "only" because I allegedly "hate" Aamir?

You are exaggerating it. I have not made "many" threads on Aamir except that one thread. And that thread was about his entire BO record not just Talaash. Also, I had made thread in favour of him too - if Talaash was being ignored at awards (since it did have critical acclaim). In recent times only I have posted in his support in the Dhoom 3 wait miffs Katrina and Abhishek thread and threads which talk of Ranbir's comparison with Khans.

You guys still singling me for that thread ignoring other posts I had made in his praise and favour.

Anyway, I am beginning to read this thread only now and seeing more personal comments and assumptions than actual reply on topic (which was kind of expected). I will not respond more to such allegations. Feel free to assume what you want to.

Many of his own fans are saying they found the film average, the star himself does not talk about the film anymore (which shows his honesty towards judging his work) - so why only I should be singled out as a hater?

AAA flopping is the greatest tragedy in history of Indian BO. I was flabbergasted when I learnt it was a flop!

The film is the worst ATBB easily but the question was why did it work, it was the music IMO

Seriously lame far fetched story of a heiress falling for taxi driver. 🤪 One good thing was music. I bet even now the blind beggars with Harmonium sing Pardesi pardesi in local Indian trains.
