Hello all!

First off, thank you all for being part of and supporting this venture - it's been on for 6 months! I'm so glad this is being appreciated and so many of you have rediscovered your passion and joy for reading because of it!

I figured it's time to hang up my boots and hand over the baton to y'all now.

Anybody can volunteer to organize the BTRC starting November. Which means it will be your challenge, your rules. Of course, the basic format will remain the same i.e having page logs based on Amazon page counts, and the tiered badges awarded for each reading level. I would recommend also keep it restricted to chapter books because page counts are more relevant for this format. And the minimum requirement of 60 pages per log.

But apart from that, everything else is up for change - themes, teams, special achievement siggies etc etc. The BTRC for the month that you sign-up for will be entirely your baby, and your responsibility.

And needless to say we, the DT, will be here to help you out with anything you might need such as pinning threads etc.

The sign-up list will be in the next post. So go ahead and claim your spot for the next months.

I will ask that you sign up for one month only for now, and if we don't have enough sign-ups or a spot for a month remains open, we will consider repeating sign-ups.

Thanks ladies smiley9 but the aim was to make it self-sustaining, to give myself a break from organizing every month, and also to allow new ideas to come in when others chip in. It does get a bit much for me to do this every month, and I’d hate for it to stop when I’m not available. I just feel this shouldn’t depend on one person’s availability smiley9

Aapke bhagair hum kya karenge maate ?

No, seriously. You were the train pulling us along month after month. You are and were fab at organizing. I do realise it's difficult for you also. smiley18

Being the captain is one thing, organizing the whole BRC is a whole other ball game honestly.

Arre I’ll be there yaar, the posts/ rules formats are also there, so are the tags, you just need to copy and post them and tag people to participate and decide on the teams. Baaki even the excel sheet can be copied - or just get our resident brain, Shibz to help smiley36

Let’s see though, if no one wants to do this, I’ll just consider not having the RC for the times I’m not around

If there's absolutely no one volunteering, I can do it only because I don't want it to stop. smiley36

@b: oh yes, Shibz ke hote hue kaisa fikar? smiley14

Still, I for one, will miss your presence. smiley27

@b: maybe you can have breaks in between.
