Why didn’t Lara Dutta become big star like PC?

They both came from Miss World. They also debuted at the same time. They worked in Andaaz together. Lara’s role was bigger than PC’s role. So what happened? Why couldn’t she become a big star like PC? PC become a big star despite most powerful people boycotting her in Bollywood while Lara disappeared from Bollywood like ages ago and now I think she is doing web-series.

Beats me! I love Lara, she’s so fine omg. Not only is she a decent actor but her whole persona and the way she carries herself is so attractive. So well spoken and well informed. She’s beautiful and has/ had a great figure. A fine mix of beauty and brains.

I guess Bollywood didn’t know what to do with her. She didn’t fit the typical heroine bill and maybe seemed a little out of place? Also I feel she wasn’t as ambitious as PC. She had so much potential.

Priyanka is prettier, more ambitious and more hardworking. Even after getting into so many people's bad books because of her affairs with married actors, she was still able to get work opportunities because she was a go-getter and worked very hard.

Lara simply did not have the same hustle or strong work ethic.

To become successful one needs the drive - not talent, not luck but sheer indomitable drive. That said, every person’s meaning of success is different and it cannot be measured with the same yardstick. It’s unfair even to do so, especially without having full information about their respective journeys.

The Last Bollywood actress with good comic timing

I vaguely remember her saying in an interview (I think with Similar) early in her career that she didn't plan on persuing acting for a long time. She seemed too well read, well spoken and intelligent to dance around the trees. Also always acting wasn't her goal if we believe her words.

But I miss her interviews. She is so eloquent and funny, I never get tired of listening her.

She was kind of bland. Nothing like a traditional heroine and to much competition.
