The only point u are missing here is that the kids needed to be fed each day...clothed each day and had to have a roof over their heads every single day...It didn't matter if the divorce was not decided by the court or Saif started paying child support or alimony...really no one is even talking about alimony here...Amrita is a grown educated woman...I don't care if she had to work to fend for herself...I am talking just abt the kids here...and if one needs a piece of paper to remind them of their child's needs then they are morally bankrupt...That's all I have to say...šŸ¤”

Blue-ice had previously said he was legally wrong so I said he wasn't really. This is how most acrimonious divorces play out. They turn mean and nasty even though sometimes the people involved are not that bad. It's just that process that ends up making everyone look like terrible people. Lawyers are also hugely responsible for how people behave through the divorce process.

Morally yes I do think he was wrong if he was really as bad as Amrita made it seem in her interviews and articles. But I just don't like tarring and feathering someone based on what an ex is saying about them. Of course they would say bad things, what else is expected?

I'm no fan of Saif and have never been but constantly being beaten with a stick for 'not taking care of his kids' doesn't make sense to me personally but everyone's mileage varies.

As a husband, he was a terrible man. I'm not denying that at all. As a dad too, he probably made a lot of mistakes but he seems to be getting better. Using old articles again and again to bash him for the same thing is weird but what do I know.

I don't know how it works in India...but here in USA...u don't have to be divorced or even married to get a child support order for the child...a DNA test is enough...and yess the courts do order the child support from the date of separation...if that date is established in the court...so yes IN USA technically a parent is legally obligated to pay child support from the date a couple is separated...

This is far-fetched because Saif moved out leaving the house to Amrita and the kids. They already had a roof over their head. Food and clothing do not cost a lot especially in India. Heck, new clothing is not even needed for a year or two if you're in dire straits. It's not like old clothes you already owned can't be used for a while. They would not be able to maintain a 5 star uber luxurious lifestyle but other than that, they would be fine. It's not like Saif was starving the kids.

There was always the option of sending the kids to live with their Dad if Amrita wanted him to take care of everything. She also made choices. She was not that helpless in the situation. She chose to keep the kids to herself even if he meant starting to work and provide for them. Yes, Saif should have been a better person and been more generous with money during that time but he probably wanted to wait things were legalized. He knew those kids were not starving and homeless. Maybe he even offered to let them stay with him instead. The main thing is we don't really know what goes in inside everyone's lives that it seems a bit too much to beat them with sticks all the time as if we're so morally superior.

Like you said, they are different countries. Even in the US, people make sure to go to family court and make sure to get it down on paper so child support can start soon after the separation. Nobody just gives money out of the goodness of their heart because it can lead to problems and lawyers also advise against it without proper paperwork done.

I don't know if India has that or not but clearly it was not used between Saif and Amrita. If it existed, there would have been no way for Saif to flee his child support duties. He would have landed up in jail if anything like that existed. If India does have and Amrita chose not to utilize it, again it's her fault for not doing so.

I don't know the full set of laws pertaining to divorce and child maintenance, but if you admit that he was morally wrong, then that made him a bad father. As a father he has a moral obligation towards his children irrespective of what the law says. So if he was waiting around for some sort of court order before he started providing, then all he did was follow his legal obligations. As a father the least he could've done was provide for his kids.

in India, whoever is eligible to pay the alimony does not need to unless the other person files an application in court for the same. Of course the court can take its own sweet time to make a decision regarding amount and other details. For my cousin, it took 2 years. Plus the amount that the courts give is not as much as in say the US. I know people who have thus insisted on getting their marriage registered in the US as well as guys who were insistent that they want to start divorce proceedings only in India. Sorry for going off-topic😳

If you think that post-separation period makes him a bad father, okay I agree. But life is not that simple and clear-cut. Everyone makes mistakes and does bad things sometimes but Saif has been pretty good to his kids after that. Sara is going to Columbia and I'm sure he's paying for that. It's expensive and I doubt Amrita can afford it. He takes them on trips and includes them in his family with Kareena. At least it seems like he's trying to be a decent father and the kids seem happy around him too.

People can change and get better with time. Nobody is all good or all evil. He still does retarded things like getting tattoos of his girlfriend but then he also spends time with his children alone. There is good and bad to everyone. He's not the devil incarnate. šŸ˜†

Since u keep on saying in ur posts...that we don't know what has happened in their lives...How are we supposed to take the bolded part at its face value and not assume that this might just be a farce to fool the world...just a show off...
And this debate was not about if we are morally superior or not?? Its about saif and Amrita and the kids...There is no use bringing the member's morality here at all...I am only debating about the kids...I didn't even blame him for the divorce or the marriage gone wrong...because when they got married...Amrita should have known better...that saif might just turn out to be another boy high on harmones...but at the time of divorce he was a grown up man...
But anyways I feel I am going in circles right now...so no point in debating this any further unless there is a new point...

he has no choice but to be a decent father now. all his khel finished. khatam. he had a heart attack, he almost got back with amrita after this attack. too bad, his heart again pumped for young doll bebo. and yes i gotta agree with you in ur other posts, that never underestimate the cougar...i mean to say amrita. you just don't know how she was torturing this poor little boy. you don't know.
maybe the torture was so severe that once the little boy got a chance he stroke. and stroke hard. and yes you damn right there again, about kids not starving. i mean c'mon, srsly these nawab ke chokres will ever starve.
and also wanna say, the kids are very vulnerable, they don't hold grudges, its not that saif is a cool dad and all that now, its just that, end of the day 99% kids love their mummy and daddy. period. and also they know parents can be easily bribed. this generation, kids are smart and i am glad. hmmm.
and amrita didn't send the kids to saif COS, maybe too many women coming to saifus bedroom in and out. its not good to have kids around when all this tamasha is happening. i am glad she left him alone with young dolls.
oh..and i love this topic. BLOCKBUSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohh yea reminds me...Amrita was taking care of Saif when he got the heart attack no??

I remember so many articles saying looks like Rosa has left Saif to suffer alone and stuff like that šŸ˜†

I was amazed that Amrita went to him even after an ugly divorce and all the Rosa drama
