Looking back at the episodes of Monday and Tuesday - 13th and 14th April, 2015, Akbar is still keeping a safe distance from Chittor fort. Jaimal is still in captivity and MP camping outside, waiting for an opportunity to enter the fort and rescue the beleaguered king.
As of now, Udai Singh and Akbar are playing a cat and mouse game of wait and watch to see who loses the battle of nerves first.
Akbar's Moves
Akbar sends a lone soldier towards the fort to test the preparedness of the fort inmates and is assured that he was right in proceeding slowly because the Rajputs proved they could kill anyone within a certain distance using just arrows. Akbar now wants to think of a new strategy to counter the advantage of height and impregnability of the fort.
But before that, he wants to know what's going on in Udai Singh's mind. He sends a Mughal warrior to capture the messenger who, unknown to Akbar, is carrying an urgent summons to MP to return asap to the fort.
If Akbar can successfully prevent this message from reaching MP, then he can be sure of 2 things:
1. MP is not in the palace; so the Mughals don't have to fight him.
2. If MP is kept unaware that his father needs him, he will not return anytime soon.
Later while MP is returning home, Akbar may engage him in a battle somewhere away from Chittor.
Udai Singh's Nerves
Udai Singh is outwardly holding the fort with authority but his eager wait for MP seems to indicate a case of nerves. Wish he is confident enough to take on the might of Akbar.
Repeating myself but really want to know if and when Udai Singh will leave the fort along with his family in the show. It seems late to me already with Akbar at his doorstep. How can Udai Singh leave and why would Akar let him?
Hetu is Safe
I missed the initial 7-8 mins of the show and don't know how Hetu was finally brought back to safety from the clutches of Mughal soldiers, But i was happy to see her safe and sound.
It upset me greatly to see her being mobbed by Mughal guards who clearly had less than noble intentions and the Rajputs holding back from rescuing her because they didn't want to expose themselves and foil their plan to rescue Jaimal.
This seemed most uncharacteristic of MP - that he should be willing to sacrifice the honor of a Rajput girl at the hands of Mughals so that he could calmly work out a plan to rescue Jaimal. And it seemed insulting to a warrior like Jaimal too that he would be happy to be freed at the cost of the life and honor of a young Rajput girl.
After all, the very notion of jauhar is based on the principle that the honor of women cannot be compromised and no Mughal can be allowed to touch the body of a Rajput woman, even if she was dead.
I guess the entire sequence on Monday was intended to raise intense emotions in viewers and make them come back to see what happened the next day. But it was in extremely poor taste.
Jaimal Shows His Prowess
In a power-packed sequence, Jaimal showed he could still pack a punch by strangling a Mughal soldier to death, whilst Pir Muhammad looked on in stunned silence. This Jaimal clearly looks like one who can be described as having the prowess of a 1000 warriors.
Going Ahead
MP will probably attempt to use the path laid by Hetu to enter the fort and rescue Jaimal in tonight's episode.
Did Hetu just guess the places where there were no landmines or did she have special knowledge to detect them? She looked like sh was playing Minesweeper.
Why will Jaimal and Patta reach Chittor but not MP? Will he feel that other places like Kumbhalgarh require him while Chittor can be handled by the people already there.
Will Akbar be shown to wait patiently for the right opportunity to attack Chittor and build sabats etc in the meantime?
The show is gripping in its presentation these days, though full of NR. 😊
