That has been mentioned in the narrative. The narration also told that in between these 8 years, Akbar started marrying Rajput princesses fr his political alliances, which means they hv decided to undo totally with the Jodha track. He also sends fr an alliance fr Mann bai Mp's sister due to which they get her married hurriedly. They hv also flashed the year as 22 octobar 1568, which means, this is the real siege .Only thing I am worried is Ajebde, Amar singh, n Udai singh r all inside the fort. i don't know what they r going to show regarding them:( i think u said in one of ur posts that MP was in Kumbhalgarh at that time.?

Geeta,

It is infact good that they have not shown the marriage with any Rajput princess. Because, after watching the horrible depiction of Salima Begum i was even dreading the inroduction of HK here. :)

Thanks for informing me about the date. So, it is the real siege.
Now i am assured. :D

Ajabde and Amar Singh would survive this. Nothing will happen to them.

Pratap was busy with Kumbhalgarh Fort. He was not in Chittor.
Let us see what is shown here.

But, Pratap was present in the emergency meeting called by Rana Udai Singh.
Along with Pratap, these were also present in that meeting -
1. Rawat Chundawat
2. Kunwar Shakti Singh
3. Isar Das Chauhan
4. Rawat Patta Sisodia
5. Jaimal Rathore

And many other people were present in this meeting, you can find their names here ->>

Abhay, did you hear my internal pleas to read your posts on Maharana and his brave friends? I have been missing it and longing for so long that I even got jealous of JA that you do not seem to have time for my dear hero.

Now, no letting you. Please continue and write more and more about Maharana as you used to write about Jodha those days. I want to know everything about our hero!

Thanks for this lovely post buddy, saw it on the other thread too but just got to get in.

PS: looking forward to your daily commentary from history from Chittor seize onwards. And you can clear the back log on non-show days:-). Remember, you still owe me a promised post on Maharana!

Hi Kaana,
Just like Chittor track has brought me back to MP Forum, same way i guess it has brought back, you as well. MP is someone, whom i also regard a LOT.

Haha...Jeolous of JA. :-P Don't worry.
I will be here for sharing thoughts on episodes and discuss with you all. I like to write more about history part and will be sharing as much as possible..
Chittor is one of the most important turning points of life of MP, which dictated his future relations with Mughal Emperor Akbar. How can i miss this ?

Yes, i remember MP post and also the "Dhamma" Post of Ashoka, as promised to you. :-P

Hey Abhay how are you doing?

I actually have a doubt and hope you can clarify it for me- someone posted somewhere that Jaimal might marry Pratap's sister which means that he would have to marry Chand - so does it mean that Chand commits the Jauhar? But the entire royal family survived the siege as they had been evacuated safley out of Chittor
am a bit confused - also the CVs have brought in this girl Khetu that is helping Pratap rescue Jaimal - is she someone important as far as my knowledge goes I have not heard this name before

Please help me - thank you
Garima

Hi Garima,
I am fine.

I don't know about Khetu.
She might be a fictional character, most probably.

About your another question:
It is not at all possible for Jaimal to marry any sister of Pratap.

Reason:

1.
Pratap was eldest child of Rana Udai Singh.
Jaimal was 33 years older than Maharana Pratap.
I have mentioned Jaimal's age in my Jaimal-Patta update.

2.
As far as I know about the sisterS of MP, no sister of Pratap got married to Jaimal.
Jaimal, though a FIERCE warrior, was old enough to be a grandfather of sisters of Pratap. :)

Victory document issued by Akbar after win at Chittor calls Jaimal and Patta to be equal to a 1000 horsemen in their "bravery". They caused lot of destruction in Mughal ranks.

Kaana,
Your presence would be equally required here. :)

Also, i wish we do not see any character assasination of Salima Begum now.
I was watching Tuesday's episode of last week on youtube and felt terrible seeing her!!.
I am happy, that they have gone into REAL politics and left kitchen wars behind.

And as the track progresses we are going to get more and more brilliant episodes.
As far as i know the makers of MP, they won't leave any stone unturned to give us well shot war sequences.

Yes, the PH here is good at war sequences. I hope they do not tone it down given this event's sensitive nature.
Jaimal and Patta to be equal to a 1000 horsemen in their "bravery" - I really hope this is depicted well.
Regd Salima, the less said the better. I skip those scenes - advantage watching online:) But as you said its going to be real politics now, unless they bring Salima also here to teach Akbar strategies:( you can never trust the CVs you see.
But I am grateful indeed to them for not showing HK... Thank God for small mercies!
