Isar Das Chauhan was shown in the episode aired on Wednesday.
He is the head of archery wing of Mewar's army.

And even yesterday, we saw Isar Das, he is the same person who was present with Rana Udai Singh and Todia, when Udai Singh was giving a speech to his soldiers from the ramparts of the fort.

In last episode, they introduced Jaimal also. Watch it. It was a good episode.

Along with Jaimal , they also introduced Kala Rathore, who was his nephew, and if i am not wrong then, Kala is the same person as per some accounts, on whose shoulders Jaimal sat in the Chittor War when he was unable to fight after getting injured..

Abhay

I saw the episode.

But I didn't see it properly, I guess, for I didn't see either ID or KR. Will look out for them in Monday's episode.

Btw, I didn't know about Gora and Badal but learnt about them after you referred to them. :) Thomas Carlyle said, "World history is nothing, but the biography of great men." Which is so true! Am discovering so many great men in our history thru your posts. Than you so much!

Also found out about Amar Singh Rathor:

Honestly, I never knew there were so many well-known Rajput warriors - my knowledge was limited to only a few.

Looking fwd to reading further on the Chittor war and discovering some more brave men and women from Rajasthan :)

Abhay, Geeta
Will we see Udai Singh and family leaving the fort on Monday? I am interested in seeing how this is depicted.

It's crucial because this was the decision of the sabha that Udai Singh and family should be kept safe because their safety meant the safety of Mewar. It should not appear as if Udai Singh was a coward and fled the battle.

Yes, the PH here is good at war sequences. I hope they do not tone it down given this event's sensitive nature.
Jaimal and Patta to be equal to a 1000 horsemen in their "bravery" - I really hope this is depicted well.
Regd Salima, the less said the better. I skip those scenes - advantage watching online:) But as you said its going to be real politics now, unless they bring Salima also here to teach Akbar strategies:( you can never trust the CVs you see.
But I am grateful indeed to them for not showing HK... Thank God for small mercies!

Kaana,
I am ok with a bit of advising but not too much of interference. Salima Begum is KNOWN to have given advices to Akbar. Actually, it depends on the execution. It's upto the makers how they portray it.

Though, some of the friends wanted to see HK here, but I am really happy not to find her in this show, because after the tarnishing of image of Salima Begum, i became a bit wary about HK. You are right, we should be thankful for some small mercies. :-P

BTW, Did you watch the Chittor War Promo ? I don't know if there are more than one promos, but i saw this one , and the feeling which it gave can not be written in words. I am really waiting for high intensity fight sequences. I remember they had shown a war with Shams Khan in the starting of the show for a LONG time. Compared to that case, Chittor's war is a big event, so i feel this can go to even a month or more.!!

@Bold...Want to see this...
Just check this promo, if you missed..
And if there are more promos, kindly someone share the videos here. :))

Most Welcome Kaku,

I am fascinated by these historical legends and hence leave no stone unturned while reading / writing about them, no matter, how rare the source might be.

I remember your "likes" on the Chanakya thread on many of the posts.
Glad to find you here. Plz keep sharing your inputs about the show / history part here.
I am sure you also have lots of things to share. Lets discuss this watershed moment of Chittor together. It's going to evoke lot of sentiments, i have read many posts on this forum. Many are returning to the show for this track.

Radhika even I am worried fr poor little Amar singh,n Ajebde. Presently, I watch the serial on the net .My heartbeats go fast remembering the Jauhar. Since Mughal army fought fr 4 months, there is still time . I think, Cv's will show, since the war going against them, the nobles will decide at the nth hour to rescue the royal family. Radhika, how far is Merat frm Chittor?

Radhika,

I am giving the video here. You can find Isar Das Chauhan here..

1. Watch this from time - 11:20 onwards. Rana Udai Singh orders for Isar Das Chauhan to be made the head of Archery wing..

2. In the same video, watch from 15:12 onwards . You can see the actor playing Isar Das Chauhan's role and also hear him speaking to his soldiers...

Video::

3.
Following video shows Isar Das with Rana Udai Singh. 15:40 onwards..

About Kala Rathore, i am not sure..
I think the person shown in Video 3 at the end was Kala Rathore..

Thanks for sharing details about Amar Singh Rathore. Another interesting story. :)

Radhika,
They will show it that way only. It was the decision of the council to keep the leader safe, because capture of leader meant end of war. Hence, Udai Singh had to be kept safe. We saw, how after the serious injury to Jaimal in the war, next day Saka was performed, because their leader was in no position to fight anymore, other wise they might have carried for some time more. Safety of leader in a war is really important.

Geeta,
Replied to you about Ajabde and Amar Singh on previous pages..

Hey Abhay so I wanted to know what happens to Bijolia after the siege? Did Bijolia also fell under the Mughal rule after the Chittor siege or was there a battle for Bijolia as well?
