This is what irks me. CVs really take the viewers for granted. Anything to titillate without proper attention to sensitivities of the characters. I really liked Bandini for the wholesome drama that they were giving till now. they could have handled this better instead of using some quick fix solution to the mess they create.

Talking of this whole thing about rural, tell me in which rural locality a couple make out in the open? Especially when one of them is the elderly mallik of the village? So when DM's lack of remorse can be excused because he is rural in outlook, should we not expect him to be more proper where he exhibits his passion too?
Yes, Milind was crazy about Prachi and his accusations were brought on by jealousy but he had not confessed his feelings to Prachi before. Prachi was as ignorant of his feelings for her as he was of her feelings for him. In fact Prachi was the one who confessed her feelings first. Milind confessed his feelings only after he knew about her feelings. He apologised much before that though.
I dont think a love confession is required to feel remorseful for the way your treated your wife. DM should obviously be in love with his wife by now. If he was not and still did it, that would only put him down further in my eyes.
It is not so much Santu treating him as an equal partner but not stooping too low and holding her own self esteem. If she was not doing it herself, the mighty DM atleast should ensure that he does not put her in that position in the first place.

I am in total agreement with you right from your beginning post that the SR in the open air is a NO NO for me for many reasons which i have elaborated upon in the succeeding posts. I am not sure what DM feels for Santu is "love" in the true sense of the word Opti. He likes her a lot and feels flattered by her attention but i think that is all. Santu will never see herself as his equal in any situation. The minute he gets angry, she takes on the entire blame and retreats behind this torrent of tears and self reproach. It is as you say dependant on DM to give her that status and not treat her like a kid. And has DM ever apologised to anyone till now? He thinks he is the lord and master. I am not supporting him but it is a proven fact that such traits are stereotypically portrayed in the context of rural backgrounds.

Wish sometime in the future Santu gets back at him and calls him dufford , Oh yes, as an endearment. Lets see how DM takes that!

Well, if he continues to have this indulgent attitude towards Santu, he is not doing much to climb up my ladder of respect or regard. So was that only lust and not love? Now I really am not liking the c-night.
I think DM did apologise to Santu after the Anamika fiasco. I have forgotten, but I think he also apologised in the cow slaughter case when he had wrongly passed the judgement against Hiten without hearing him out first. So I was a bit surprised he did not utter a word of apology yesterday.
If they just show us the same stereotypes there is nothing to learn. I think it is breaking the stereotypes which will send the right message.

he punished her by forbidding her from sleeping with him.
when he forgave her he slept with her - or rather, allowed her to sleep with him.
he forgave. what's for him to apologise?
ha, ha ha!

I don't think Ekta is in the habit of sending a message to the audience through her shows, at least does not seem from the precedent set so far.....if anything a lot of her shows send the wrong message......she is in it just to provide entertainment in any which way she can

I think we are the minorities who think along this line of him apologising.
the rest of them are in awe of the SR.
Personally I dun have a problem with the SR coz it was still tasteful.
but I dun think this is the case

I do think Hades has strong feelings of love in his heart for her. It was not just lust coz the consent was mutual. They have feelings for each other n got caught in the moment.
Hades just needs to come off the ladder n talk to her on the same level (yes an apology wld be a great start)
