he forgave. what's for him to apologise?
ha, ha ha!

That's a good observation Manu, but it makes the act more crass.

I also dont like him calling her dufford especially in public in front of the entire family. I was actually saying somewhere that since Santu just meekly considers it a "term of endearment", one day Suraj should actually turn around and call her "eh dufford" right in front of DM. Then she will realize that she shouldnt be smiling coyly whenever he puts her down.

I think this show did have a lot of messages in the early stages. I particularly liked the way the cow slaughter case was handled. Anyway Ekta has burnt nearly all her bridges. If she tries any of her crap in this show, she is doomed.

Hades just needs to come off the ladder n talk to her on the same level (yes an apology wld be a great start)

Lust does not mean one way traffic fuzzy. Am not liking all the connotations being discussed here: Santu giving in to her lord and master of a husband and DM coming down from his high horse to make her feel the woman she is. All this does not augur well for the couple as I would like them to be. Lets put this c-night behind us and see what they have in store today but I fear they will have mroe of crybaby Maulik.

I too think he has strong feelings for her, but I would like him to verbalize them at some point....most of the time he talks in terms of accepting her and doing right by her and keeping her happy rather than being in love with her. And yes the consent was mutual......DM didn't really do anything until Santu came and sat closer to him and put her hands around his arms.

And I wonder if DM will ever apologize in that way and if Santu even expects an apology from him.....I come back again to the rural mindset.......they are wired differently......men are considered to be the lord and master and in this case DM is the lord of the whole village and most of the time the women are submissive.....we have to look at it in the context of the setting, don't expect them to behave in the manner of an urban couple.

Whichever way I look at it, justifying and glorifying the servitude of women to their lord and masters as this show seems to be doing is not sitting on me well. Hope they dont show much of this servitude in future.

Well, if you want reality in the show, thats what reality is like in rural India....so in that way they are not justifying or glorifying anything, they are showing it the way it is.
