A c-night which was somewhat a let down for me

I know the forum is buzzing with excitement about Sanraj's c-night but somehow for me it was quite a let down. Here is why.

- DM did not apologise for his appalling behaviour towards Santu before they took the next step.

- Santu seemed to be only too willing to overlook her Mallik's arrogance.

- If the c-night was a culmination of all the pent up emotions from both sides it would have been better. The 'macchar' hitting in between seemed to be unnecessary,silly and broke the flow for me.

- I was not too enthused by the roll in the hay for someone like DM who is the Mallik of the village. What if someone had been walking around at the time? I know BT has a penchant of having the c-nights out in the open but somehow this venue did not appeal to my sensitivities

- The camera work was pretty mediocre in comparison to some of the other c-nights in other BT show.

All in all Sanraj's c-night was quite average to me. Maybe I could have enjoyed it more if they had shown DM more remorseful, Sanraj more emotional and spontaneous and they had the c-night behind close doors.

My dream scene would have been DM first apologising to her and Santu tearfully accepting the apology. They hug and he carries her off to a nearby empty hut and proceed to make her his own. Later they can show him gift the diamond necklace saying that all he can do is get her a necklace but she is his real diamond.

The best c-night for me till date will always be the one picturised on Milind and Prachi in Kayamath. October 15th 2007 will always be etched in my memory for the out-of-the-world, tender and emotional union of my all time favourite jodi after the heart felt apology from the hero. Their beach union seemed a little far fetched but still the superb camera work had made the entire visual experience wonderful.

Wish Sanraj had something close to Michi union.

My favourite scene yesterday was the one between Kanji and Moti. Looks like they are following the "Taming of the Shrew". Kanji was simply adorable.

P.S.: These are only my view points and not necessarily something others will have to agree to.

Opti, I always like to read your posts. They are always well thought out. Our opinions may differ at times but I like your point of view too and respect that.😊

I agree that Kanji was awesome. Moti and Kanji, what a duo they make. I posted the same thing, Taming of the Shrew theory😆 Or Lucille Ball comedy show.

The CVs could have done without the machar scene for sure . They could have had the SR somewhere else but def not in the house with all the distractions. It would have been nice if DM acknowledged his mistake in punishing Santu. But he did tell Baa that he has done the right thing by bringing her home, he doesn't want to lose her,and that Santu hid the secret to protect his and Moti's relationship. So for a strong man like DM, that kind of justifies his mistake. Santu accepted his talk as an apology, so I guess it's ok with me. Anyway I am a goner when it comes to RR/DM, so I accepted his gesture as apology. The love he has for Santu showed in his eyes.

now, THAT kymt c-night is the stuff of legends. i doubt any c-night on tv will come close to that. even other kymt c-nights couldn't come quite close even though the actors were the same 😆

somehow something special was created and it was magic for us all. the pair was super comfortable and the direction bang on. to appreciate other c-nights, we will have to temporarily forget THAT one.

I would liked if DM apologized before(I was actually looking forward to one)...but i guess he has his own ways and santu somehow understands him....

and yes kanji is becoming my favorite nowadays...i enjoy his scenes with moti ben...

Thanks Malli. Yes, not everyone has to agree to everything that is being said. Each of us have our own points of view and yardsticks. Kanji-Moti were superb. They are soon becoming my favourite pair although I was apprehensive about Moti living with Kanji more out of sense of pity for Kanji's plight but I am really enjoying Kanji's amused yet firm dealing of Moti. Surely brings back memories of how Petruchio handled Kate in Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew". I so wanted to see that track being played on Neev and Ayesha of Kayamath but the writers ruined the show by making it all about Michi union and seperation played a 100 times over.

DM did talk to Baa and indirectly acknowledged his mistake but that was not good enough for me for the heartless way he was treating the woman he married till the previous day. The fact remains that no apology was said before the union and that irritated me to say the least. My heart was not in the rest of what followed after that. I dont believe that a strong man cannot apologise properly. For me a strong man is someone who is not ashamed to admit that he could be wrong and is humble enough to ask for pardon from the one he has wronged. I am Ronit's fan too but I guess I get too critical when it comes to my favourite characters. I am a die hard fan of Shabbo and yet I never hesitated to call a spade a spade if I felt Milind was wrong, which he was many a times, but then every time he apologised with so much feeling I just had to forgive him. DM's tanda apology, if you can really call it that, did not go down well with me. Let's see if his arrogance comes down a few notches in the coming episodes.

So true, Manu. Nothing can beat that! I dont think you can call the other nights between Michi 'c-nights'. C-night can happen only once, isn't it? After that it is only reunions. And yes, the others are not even close, although the second SR was not so bad despite Prachi's aunty-like bashans. Even if I don't measure it by THE c-night, it still fell short for me mainly because I only got to see a passionate DM and not a remorseful one, before he got all passionate.

Actually, I am happy that Oct 15th c-night is still the best c-night on T.V. Makes it so much more special. And yes, it created pure magic and everything was perfect.

Heebs, I think I have been spoiled by an ever apologetic Milind. Anyway to me DM and Santo still behave like the lord and the maiden and that is something I am not too comfortable with. I liked the Sanraj scenes they showed when they were initially growing fond of each other. There was that sense of awkwardness which was cute. Wish to see more of that.

Kanji is a darling. I love the way he smiles with his eyes.

The best C- Night for me on Indian Television happened on 25th Jan, 2005 between Rishabh Bajaj and Prerna Bajaj for me, nothing comes close to that...it was pure passion, romance at it's best...simply beautiful.

There r only 3 things that I didn't like much.....

1. That Machchar scene.. It was so irrelevant and unnecessary..

2. DM doin that in open... 🤢

3. Last but not the least, Santu's expressions could have been better... It's now 8/9 months of her acting.. She could have portrayed it better..

Anyways.. the scene was good.. But for me, it couldnt enter my fav Top-3 list🤔.. DM was awesummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm though👍🏼 He is the king of romance😍..
