Firstly i missed all the parts after the 2nd one...so i am extremely SORRY for not being able to comment ...
Now coming back to your story...
Really your writing is just wonderful...I was able to connect to each and every word written by you...and i really mean it...
This story best describes ARJUN SURYAKANT RAWTE...Really hats off to you...all your examples like that fleet of birds returning...birthday is celebrated for alive people...1 corpse discovered instesd of two...and the best was...the little boy fencing his castle by his hands and Arjun closing his eyes knowing what will happen next...that was soo emotional...then the way you described the feelings of the team mate of wanting to do somthing for him but still giving his space was very good...then Shree and others reaction on seeing his birthday...and that was the best way they could respond...than Arjun's reaction...his thought process of considering his team mates's sincere wishes but still being in a fix as how to respond again was awesome...
LOOK ..i can keep on and on writing on your story ...but i guess i should stop my torture now so...
P.S : SORRY for this essay ...

U made me understand how empty he is from inside..

He doesn't have reason to go back home..

he cannot remember when last time he was happy...
