Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth recently came together to attend a special occasion in their son's life. Their eldest son, Yathra, graduated from school, and both parents were present to celebrate the achievement.
The moment was marked by warmth and quiet pride, as Dhanush took to Instagram to share a few pictures from the ceremony. In the images, Yathra can be seen dressed in a dark blue graduation robe and cap. Dhanush, dressed in a simple white shirt, hugged his son, while Aishwarya stood beside them. Alongside the post, Dhanush wrote a brief but meaningful caption: “PROUD PARENTS ?? #yathra.”

Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who got married in 2004, are parents to two sons—Yathra and Linga. While they live in close proximity in Chennai’s Poes Garden, their children regularly spend time with both of them.
On January 17, 2022, Dhanush had announced their separation after 18 years of marriage through a social media post. He wrote, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been one of growth, understanding, adjustment, and adaptation. Today, we stand at a place where our paths separate.” Their divorce was finalized in 2023. Both Dhanush and Aishwarya occasionally share moments from their parenting journey on social media, and this recent appearance at Yathra’s graduation reflects their continued commitment to their children despite personal differences.
Professionally, Dhanush has an interesting slate of films coming up. He will soon be seen in Kuberaa, a multi-starrer featuring Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. Directed by National Award-winner Sekhar Kammula, the film’s teaser was released recently. It will hit the big screens on June 20, with music by Devi Sri Prasad. In addition, it was announced during the Cannes Film Festival that Dhanush will play the role of former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in an upcoming biopic directed by Om Raut. The announcement has sparked curiosity and interest among audiences and industry watchers alike.
