Rashmika Mandanna’s behind-the-scenes warmth with Nagarjuna and Dhanush reflects genuine camaraderie

With just days to go before the release of Kuberaa, Rashmika Mandanna has shared glimpses from a promotional event in Chennai, offering fans a peek behind the scenes and an emotional message. The socio-political drama, directed by Sekhar Kammula, stars Rashmika alongside Dhanush and Nagarjuna and is slated for a pan-India release on June 20, 2025.

The event held in Chennai seemed to hold a special meaning for Rashmika, who mentioned her childhood memories of the city in a heartfelt note. Sharing several pictures on Instagram—including shots with her co-stars and her traditional saree look—the actress wrote, “We began our Kuberaa promotions in Chennai, and as most of you know, Chennai holds a very dear place in my heart because of my childhood, so I was very happy.” Among the shared images were moments of her laughing with Nagarjuna and Dhanush, along with behind-the-scenes snaps showing the preparations for her traditional look. The post reflected not just nostalgia, but also a deep appreciation for the project.

Kuberaa is envisioned as a bilingual film in Tamil and Telugu, with simultaneous releases planned in Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Billed as a socio-drama, the story delves into themes of ambition and consequence. The film’s cinematography is helmed by Niketh Bommi, while the music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The writing team includes co-writer Chaithanya Pingali.

This marks the first collaboration between National Award-winning actor Dhanush and director Sekhar Kammula, who is known for blending strong narratives with emotional depth.
