Mandy my dear, I am so pleased that you liked this post; as for Yudh, no one could not like it

I first thought of doing a longish comment on another thread, but decided against it because very few would then see it.

You are absolutely correct about the rest; it is a boutique creation for intelligent viewers, and they will not bother about the TRPs, which will in any case be there because of Amitabh. Plus, the whole set of episodes has already been shot, so we are going to have a coherent, fixed narrative that will not be tweaked for TRPs.

So one need not worry about ups and downs, and can simply sit ourselves down for an hours for 4 days a week and enjoy something that makes one activate one's grey cells, instead of putting them into the deep freeze!

shyamala, first of all delighted to see your analysis and that also a positive one! will write more later but i loved the first episode, although as u said it is very demanding to watch, one dialogue miss one misses the whole sequence and also this show is not for the masses therefore trps will be subtle just like the show!

Thank you for joining the Yudh gang, my dear Gayatri! Rest assured that we are going to have a lot of fun for the next 2 months!

Plus, I am sure they will have a 4 hours omnibus over the weekend, when you can catch up with anything you have missed.

You are right about the opening episodes of any show, but with this one, you have to watch and listen like a hawk to stay on top of things. I was grateful that there were very few irritating pop ups.

Amitabh has been my crush since my school days, Aunty 😆 , so I did watch yday s epi but due to some disturbances at home couldn't watch it properly. So I wasn't able to understand it thoroughly. But anyway, I read the written update to catch up on what I missed. I always have this idea that the first few epis of any show are a bit boring & somewhat of a drag bcos they have to introduce the characters & set up the base for the storyline . But am sure this show will be a great watch & entirely different from the current crop of nonsense dished out in most channels , & more like the shows that YRF had shown on Sony some years back that you ve mentioned here.

Thanks, Aunty 😳

Thank you for joining the Yudh gang, my dear Ela. I am sure we will all have a lot of fun together over the next 2 months.

As for Amitabh, he is like fine wine, he gets better and better with advancing years. I loved The Making of Yudh, a half hour programme, for what it showed of his indulgent protectiveness towards the young lot in the cast, and for his incredible professionalism and unquenchable enthusiasm for his work even after 45 years in the studios.

I am sure they will have a 4 hours omnibus over the weekend, where you can perhaps catch up with the first episode.

Once again, I am delighted to have you back with me!🤗

shyamala, i m loving the discussion which is not in full force yet..will have to rush for work but for ages i wanted to watch an intelligent piece of work and this will fulfill my wish..amitabhji was at some other level and very rightly said by u that such type of roles are a piece of cake for him!

Shyamala,

I wondered last night if this show would be of interest to you & lo & behold...

I haven't watched it yet... I am not much of a fan of Mr Bachchan's (so bite me!) but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious about this much publicized project.

You're calling it a "complex morality play" has piqued my interest & I shall, with glee watch it to see how they differentiate morality from religiousity. Morality is character & conduct bred through education, humanity & love of society & has little bearing on ones religious devoutness or lack there of.
But then Nietzsche said: Morality is the best of all devices for leading mankind by the nose😆

👏

I haven't seen full epi but your post made me see beyond it

Yudh is indeed for niche audience I think it will still appeal to masses unlike 24 serial of anil kapoor which was boring but yudh seems promising ⭐️

Aunty of mine 🤗
Your Tenzin pupil in her own bubble wasn't even informed about such show being telecasted on Sony and especially where her Mr ."YEH POLICE STATION HAI TUMHARA BAP KA GHAR NAHI" - Zanjeer 1975 , is included among star cast *-* *-* So momentarily I have nothing to pen down here unless if I run to watch the 1st episode and by that able to follow it with full comprehension of the storyline otherwise I am gonna mess up everything Aunty , I tell you 😆 YUDH , hum sound epic and dramatic at same time 😎 Epic thanks to my Bachchan Sir and dramatic due to the title , sounds like a rough battle and fight back ? These are my first guesses over this show Aunty without any helps and repere so if I am wrong you dare not make fun of your pupil ^^' 😈 Will be back with a detailed comment after watching the 1st epi Aunty 😃🤗
