Aunty,
I just watched the first episode, and it was a delight. If there's one thing that stands out, it's the subtlety.

The side characters are typical, but, they charm you because they are honest, and there's a tongue-in-cheek quality to them. Be it Nayantaara who in a typical wifely fashion reminds Yudh that she had soaked almonds for him, or the slimey politician (Tigmanshu Dhulia) who proclaims that a friend is one who wouldn't backstab you given the opportunity, or the breezy bigdail heir, and the righteous daughter, they are all characters you would find in a "serious" piece, but have a quaint charm about themselves.

I read a few complaints that Yuddh was slow in pace, but, I couldn't feel it at all. Maybe because I was thoroughly lost in observing Amitji's face. It's like a canvas, on which a painter is drawing a masterpiece every second. You marvel it one second, and it's gone, only to be replaced by another. He's the artist as well as the painting here.

Now, I feel that the joker symbolizes Yuddh's fear. When, he's returning home, the joker signifies his fear, his fear for the 10,000 employees who work for him, what would happen to them if the news of his illness comes out, or worse what would happen to them when he dies? Again at the hospital, it signifies his fear of losing Taruni.

I feel that the person who informed him of the collapse was Anuj himself. Maybe that's why he realized it was no hoax, because it was a veiled threat by Anuj himself, brazen though it was.

Honourable mention - KK Menon. He's hardly there for about 5 minutes, but his character stays with you. There's a strength in his character, that you wouldn't find in any corrupt official.

All in all, a valiant effort and a truly entertaining one. 👏

Aunty you've given a very detailed analysis of it. A delightful read. 👍🏼

Firstly,

My apologies for the late comment on this thread which I had already read last week. I hadn't yet watched the episode so could not give you a proper viewpoint of mine.

Now coming to this brilliant and excellent write up which is so heart warming to read as I am a great fan ( like so many others) of Amitji😳...and he has come up with such a brilliant performance yet again.

I loved the story, though it started off slowly, the expression in the first few minutes were worth a re-watch...I can see him again and again...and after reading your write up I need not add anything of my own as far as analysis goes but I am going to be reading and re-reading your posts on each of the episodes...as I watch them...

Thank you...so much for this fantastic analysis...This "chinta aur chita mein bindi ka fark hai" ...was also well put forward by the doctor...while asking him to keep anxiety away...

I am keen to know that Yudh being shown as so high on morals ... what could have been the reason for his illegitimate relationship...as I presume Taruni is born out of wed lock. Amitabh's expressions as a helpless father while talking to his daughter brought tears to my eyes especially when he spoke of helping her monetarily with cheques of lakhs in different names if that was her concern to keep it a well guarded secret.

What keeps me hooked to this serial among the many factors like Amitabh Sir - being the first factor of course, the story, script and the definite number of episodes to narrate it --- is the "Shanti Constructions" part. Trishul was one of my favourite films of his and I know all his dialogues in that film by heart...if you wonder why well here is the reason...my name is Shanti😳😃.

Thanks...will be back with my views in your second post as well...😊
