Extremely naive of Divyanka to think that she can come out and post a "moral lecture" and this will stop the unwanted comments on her social media accounts 😆 People don't troll because they "hate" her, people troll because it is entertainment for them and no amount of "moral lecturing" from her is going to stop that. Her PR team comes off as extremely kiddish and juvenile when they try to go after and respond to these inane comments. They clearly don't understand the purpose of social media and its role in a celebrity's life/career--- your post will serve as a good starter for them.

I get it,but if not everyone atleast few would change their ways and stop haunting them.So yeah purpose is served.

Thank you for posting this thread - Divyanka is a great actress and seems like a great person as well but I do feel she takes things a little to personally especially when things go bad. She needs to disassociate herself from all the bashing that comes her way - it's part of the celebrity agreement - she cannot please everyone - there will be those who love her and then there will also be those who hate her. It's something that every celebrity goes through. All she has to do like you said, is focus on the good, of promoting her shows, causes she's involved in and leave it at that. Dedicating posts to bashers just feeds their frenzy and gives them an opportunity to hurt her further and it will eventually turn into a never-ending circle.

You're right, everyone has their bashers/trolls...even if you're not on a tv show. Have you read some of the comments on some youtubers comment section? The internet makes it easy to connect, the technology is awesome...but with it you have your share of virus, cyber crime and trolls lol . The good with the bad...

For a tv star of her calibre, she does not need to engage the trolls...she shouldn't. Period.

If she has a PR team they need to regroup real quick. 😆

I don't think she does though...which is why her own PR game needs to be more tight or she needs to hire someone ASAP.

Last time she took a stand by giving us a video, but don't want her to do it again n again coz no matter how much she tries to clarify, there will be some people who will not understand her. So no point in giving out explanations to people who don't want to listen in the first place and those who understand will not need any explanation.

Her work is awesome and she is an amazing actress. 😳Use social media only to understand viewers expectations or to promote ur work. one can't make everybody happy in this world. Just my POV.

If that was her purpose then that's wack.

As the poster above you mentioned, trolls don't troll simply because they hate you...they do it because they're trolls!

What does it matter if a handful of the trolls decide to call it a night...there are plenty more others...all she's managed to do is highlight their work and go against her own projected image. She went off brand and spoiled a perfectly good picture with comments that are either confusing or antagonizing.

I work too in online advertising field and kinda of aware how social media works and would definitely agree with most of the things you said. One word that you were bang on- Ignore the crazies!👍🏼

The social media is so crucial in this age especially for brand building and reaches such an extensive base that it can make or break you! And as celebrities these actors should be aware of it and use it in their best interests.

Social media startegy is a big deal...companies pay big bucks for PR/marketing teams/depts to cultivate and the to maintain their online image. Make sure it aligns with their brand.

Every HR company or university career centre worth their salt is pushing their clients to get online, use the Web 2.0 technologies effectively...if you haven't already done so I'd say create your online profile and stick to your brand...the future is now peeps
