Krrish 4 villain rumours dismissed as Rakesh Roshan confirms Rajat Bedi is not part of film

Rakesh Roshan has categorically denied rumours linking actor Rajat Bedi to the upcoming film Krrish 4, which will also mark Hrithik Roshan’s directorial debut. The speculation first gained traction on social media in October 2025, following Bedi’s return to acting with The Ba***ds of Bollywood (2025). Posts claiming he would play the villain in Krrish 4 quickly circulated online, though no official announcement was ever made by the makers of the franchise.

Rajat Bedi is currently in talks with several major studios for projects scheduled in 2026. Despite his renewed presence in the industry, his involvement in Krrish 4 has now been officially ruled out.

Speaking to HT City, Rakesh Roshan addressed the rumours directly. “The news of Rajat Bedi acting in Krrish 4 is all false. There is no truth to any rumours,” he said, putting an end to the speculation.

Bedi does share a long history with the Roshan family. He appeared in a grey-shaded role in Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), the film that introduced the Krrish universe. However, Rakesh Roshan clarified that this previous collaboration does not influence casting decisions for the new instalment.

Krrish 4 marks an important milestone for the franchise and for Hrithik Roshan, who will direct the film for the first time. The earlier films in the series were helmed by Rakesh Roshan, following the success of Koi… Mil Gaya.

Earlier this year, Rakesh Roshan shared a note on Instagram about the transition, writing, “Duggu 25 yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4.”

Currently in pre-production, Krrish 4 is expected to go on floors in early 2026. While casting beyond Hrithik remains under wraps, the makers have urged fans to treat rumours about the villain and new characters with caution until official announcements are made.

For now, audiences will have to wait for confirmed updates as India’s most popular superhero franchise prepares for its next chapter.
