Inconsistent and comprised story writing and characters-DT NT Pg7 - Page 4

Dunno if u made sense to anyone else .. but u made immense sense to me ... like u i have not yet focussed on the character called Mani ... coz i think the PH / Star have no clue about what to do with this guy ... i think maybe on fri / sat episodes some first line structure was given to this guy .. but its still wishy washy .. there have been to many iterations on this guy ..

So i for one would like to hold before i speak about this guy at all ..

Its similar to Suraj character .. before he came on scene he was supposed to be elder bro .. then he became younger bro .. now god knows .. even his character is not fleshed out as yet .. but he is clearly insignificant & is here for a short duration ..

Raman or Ishita's character or for that matter all the support characters in the show have spent 10 months with us .. thats how we know them & their lot in the serial .. this guy has been here for a week .. & that to without any long term agenda .. how can we KNOW about him ..

Any character needs time for the writer to flesh .. & for us to understand ..

ZD... I don't know if the timeslot change is to be blamed for this or not. But their sudden introduction of Mani is what pricks me most.

If he is her best friend and was there on the show from day 1, we wouldnt have minded it at all... honestly it doesnt matter if its a man or a woman. She shares such a good equation with Bala... we (and Raman) would have gotten used to it by now with Mani too. Every one can have the best friend they want and need. But because they throw him in after 200 episodes and declare that they are langotiya yaars and all, her sudden and constant mani jaap is irritating...

and therein lies my problem. For a character that has just been brought in, and hasn't been flushed out thoroughly, they are changing some of the established characters' behavioral traits.

Although we cannot really imagine how Ishita would be with someone who is her 'childhood' friend, it is difficult to digest that we got a character who hasn't been well thought of. And from the looks of it, he is very important to IshRa's relationship.

They can take time to establish him, yes, but they shouldn't make everyone else suddenly look different to accommodate that character

I never objected her interaction with bala. infact I have always liked their interaction. i have seen bala also calling her gorgeous and all . but I don't feel it awkward that I feel in mani 's case and yes constant jaap and again comparison is height of immaturity.

in galiyan dance, people were so angry that raman compared ishu to shagun why now no objection? just because raman is jerk and mani is best?

Mani's track is sudden and overnight as per starting story !! that was never on card.

Proof: bala's mom said in very starting episode that ishita does not have any option that s why she is adopting child . could not bala call mani at that time to bring new life in ishita 's life, we have seen bala is very much concerned about Ishita's happiness. Now suddenly bala says to raman that tum bich me tapak pade!! I mean really ? it was 1 complete year gap between break up and they got married. bala ke dimag me tab kyu nahi aaya mani if mani was too much mad for ishita ? and where were all rest men who were waiting for ishu to get clear line?

@ leo, you are actually on right point

if raman has declared that shagun is out of his life and his heart ( clearly means he has no emotions for her no love no hate) still ishita can think that he still loves shagun, raman also should be allowed to think that ishita still loves subbu declaring subbu is out of her life and system.

if Mani was shown to be her friend for some time, then fine... but its like suddenly ek dost paida ho gaya, and they are all trying too hard to prove to us that yes Mani was always a part of her life...

arre where was he when her Amma was looking for alliances, when she was struggling to adopt a child???
