Sussanne Khan pens heartfelt tribute to late mother Zarine Khan: 'You took all our hearts with you’

Sussanne Khan has shared an emotional tribute remembering her late mother, veteran actress and interior designer Zarine Khan, who passed away on November 7 at the age of 81. Zarine, the wife of actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan, is survived by her husband and four children — Sussanne Khan, Zayed Khan, Simone Arora, and Farah Khan Ali.

After the family performed the final rites, Sussanne took to Instagram to express her grief and gratitude through a heartfelt post. She shared a video of herself hugging her mother, where Zarine is seen smiling as her daughter rests on her lap. In her emotional caption, Sussanne wrote, “My bestest friend, my God, my life… our beautiful Mummy, you are always going to be our guiding light. You taught us to live life with grace and love. May we all be even half as amazing as you were, and our lives will be happy. We love you beyond love, beyond life. From now until we meet again and laugh and dance together, you teach the angels in heaven how to love. They are so lucky to have you. P.S. You took all our hearts with you.”

Zarine Khan had been a known name in the 1960s and 70s film industry before turning her focus to interior design and philanthropy. She was often seen accompanying her husband, Sanjay Khan, at public events and remained a strong presence in her children’s lives.

The funeral was held in Mumbai and attended by close family and friends. Jaya Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, and Arslaan Goni were among those present to pay their respects. On November 8, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and David Dhawan were seen visiting the family home to offer condolences to Zayed Khan and the family.
