Hi... there is major inconsistency in ishra relation progress and the time slot change has added to it. One day you feel raman loves her., next day it is ishita, the next day both and the very next day cvs show both are not intrested. It is just commonsense to realise that they want to prolong the confession. I find it very silly, confession can come with the flow of the story. Cvs need not make it seem like at last they fall in love left with no other choice... now i'm not interested in their painful past at all... high time to finally move on, especially raman. Prolonging confession does not make sense to me anymore... 250 epi over and still the cvs want to keep us guessing. cvs will show them falling for each other when they are convinced that ishra is the last male and female remaining on planet earth and they are left with no choice than finally fall in love. Too much dragging kills the essence of the show. My opinion...

I dont agree! I am loving this track. Mani is brought in the show with a purpose and he will serve it. Ishu and Mani's friendship is at that level that she gets happy when he is around. When we feel so much happy and connected when we do online chatting with our friends. Isnt is obvious how would you react when you meet in person? This chirpiness of Mani & Ishu is no where related to their maturity level. Do you mean ppl who are mature should just say hi and sit even though they are meeting after ages? Ishita has gotten over Subbu long back! Even when Raman asked she didnt feel hurt instead she openly convincingly said Subbu is out of her system. The fact that she cant conceive hurts her the most and not Subbu!!

Next scene ... when she speaks to Raman about Subbu .. she cudnt have put it more equivocally about the fact that she is over Subbu . she says that man is OUT OF ME ..

Now the writer has dedicated a 2 very important & LONG scenes to Ishita getting over her past .. for a character who has NO ACTUAL PHYSICAL PLAY in the story .. but as a mythical past .. i think its a scene to many ...

Now about .. Ishita gushing around Mani ... whoa dude .. have u ever met a school friend after years & years ... girls are exactly like this .. u rediscover ur youth .. a time when u giggled instead of smiled .. a time when u gushed instead of clenched ur words .. a time when u talked a mile instead of thot before uttering a single word ..

This is what Ishita is rediscovering .. she is rediscovering her youth .. & any viewer who has ever reconnected with his / her past friends specially school kinds would be able to identify with it ...

lemme try helping u here what is layered writing in reference to what uhave written about Ishita being "mature & level headed" well heres awoman who isclearly over themoon to meet abest friend since childhood ...she is gushing giggling et all .. just like a young girl ..
the next scene they show this same woman single handedly handle all the rituals of her household .. rituals she has noclue about ..

I am not disgruntled

I like to point out what I see

Well I still don't agree

In same way Raman has said that multiple times to her that he is over Shagun

She still believes he loves her in latest episode

Now in same way I say that she is not over subbu

Atleast in her conversations with Raman it seems so

She has said multiple times she knows hurt and pain of being abandoned

Which means she clearly has not somewhere forgotten the pain and in short reason of that pain subbu

Now coming to meeting her friend after years

I agree she is excited

But now she has been meeting him continuously for past 3-4 days now that should be enough to calm her down

And to me as a guy it looks slightly over the top and out of character

And to me layered writing is compromised when she fails to recognise anything other than mani like in last night episode where she gave credit of finding out Romi was drunk to mani when clearly it was Raman who also found out by himself

Not being abole to forget hurt and pain does not equal to getting over someone. The hurt, pain she faced are part of her memory and of course it's gonna stay but that doesn't mean she isn't over Subbu. Subbu does not affect her anymore, it's just the reminder of the pain she felt that's still there.

Vyas,
I dont think the network and the Producers (Balaji), and the advertizers (the soap companies) care about anything other than their very own bottom line
They dont OWE a meaningful story to us. Its our misconception if we think they do. I agree the first 6 or so months were beautifually woven despite my above claim. I happened to watch the first few episodes of a new show on a rival network, its the Urdu word for "partners". Nothing pleased or impressed me, soon after watching I watched Dec 3-Dec 30 of YHM.

I was stunned by the quality of emoting and the solid story line and the visuals and the realism Ekta did creat magic. But like in real life all good things have to come to an end sooner or later.
And it did

Also in India most women watch a suite of shows during dinner prep time and serve time, nobody obsesses over one show, atleast not all do. If all the shows seem the same after a point, the women most likely dont care enough to write to the producers or rant on social media about similarity

If people did then we would have TRULY UNIQUE CONTENT ON EVERY SHOW

We dont...

She is way over Subbu. She had decided to move on with that guy (forgot his name) she almost got engaged to.
As for Mani - I believe he brings out good memories in her life. He brings out the fun she had with him when she was young. It happens. I have some friends when they come in my life after so long, I start behaving like a child with them. I believe it's human nature (though sometime her doing Mani jhap gets irritating when I look at it from Raman's point of view. I am partial to Raman )

Vyas,
I dont know the answer to this but trying to deconstruct the psyche of the "TRP audience" in India will give us a clue about what they truly like or what drives them to watch one show over all others.

Its not like we have 10 networks at Prime Time, its less 5 or 6, Star One, Star Plus, Zee, Sony and Colors, and Sahara (?) Evening "Prime Time" usually is a block of 2 or 3 hours, in the US its 3, not sure about India...
6 networks, 6 shows each, that means 36 in all, I bet 30 or more of the 36 must have "similar" content, except the non fiction ones like dance shows BB etc.

Sony had some original fiction shows a few years ago, Rishta.Com and Mahi Way, intelligent and classy, but no one cared for it.

This stuff is what "sells" unfortunately, Vyas...

Now name one episode .. or instance when he tells her .. HE DOES NOT STILL LOVE SHAGUN ... while she has asked HIM POINT BLANK .. during the accident track when he accuses her of stealing the picture .. she says .. " u love Shagun .. keep loving her"

Its very important to focus on the dialogs in a scene they give a lot away .. layers in writing come out with the depth of dialogs .. & its accuracy in conveying a tale

Ahem .. about Romi drunk .. revisit that scene again .. she said i must thank Mani for pointing out to ME that Romi was drunk .. which is accurate .. Raman came in found out himself & kicked Romi out . she was not talking about that ...

As u said .. u r failing to Understand or connect to this track .. its of course ur POV .. which ur entitled to .. & no pov of is right or wrong .. so if thats the feeling ur getting .. then thats right for u ..
somehow the writer has failed to convince u .. which is ok .. when millions watch a show .. one cannot satisfy everyone ..

Here i am only pointing out technicalities .. like the first point i wrote about .while playing one falls down .. gets badly injured .. while u always remember the fall does that stop u from playing .. or say I CANT PLAY cause i will FALL ... u just become more CAUTIOUS of falling ...

.. yes she had a past hurt .. she is over it .. but does that mean she needs to wallow in self pity her whole life .. yea it was an experience she had .. an experience which taught her something .. an experience which makes her wary of letting go in love ... but that does not mean she cannot be in love
She had a hurt .. she remembered it .. but it does not mean she is still carrying a torch for SUBBU ..

Note in all her monologues with self .. she has never asked that one ques to self .. am i still carrying a torch for Subbu .. the writers are normally very clear & circumspect with their messaging .. sometimes we overlook details when we focus on inconsequentials ..

Well clearly u r not liking this Ishita's Mani jaap n thats y u made this post.

I do agree with u on this. Sometimes I feel stories need not have a deeper meaning all the time. Sometimes to make the story look special it feels like devoid of any logic. Simple things like Mihika putting coffee on Ashok's legal papers cant ashok make another copy 😆 Cant she tell at least Mihir about it to avoid the confusion later, but she chooses to remain quiet so that we can see an intense drama later. 😆 Then Ashok spilling coffee on Mihikas phone (I found it so juvenile. 😆) nMihika crying that her phone is damaged n she cant show that Monica clip 😛. Well this story when EK launched she said its for " matured Indian audiences" 😆 😳. Any urban person wud know what happens when coffee or water spills on ur phone 😆.

As Madhubala said Humour if devoid of any logic looks silly. Its the same tracks devoid of logic looks silly. Maybe this sillyness has creeped in for 7.30 slot I think No we saw same illogical stuff when Ishita went n got Param home alone or when she got drunk Shagun home.

I guess the makers want to portray that a woman who is falling in love with Raman (as they showed n 22nd n 23rd Sep )prefers to spend more time with her best friend over the person with whom she wants to fall in love with (i.e Raman). Y coz any woman in her place wud do that I find this argument again silly.
😕

Ishita ok initially started Mani Jaap by saying ki I want to make Ravan jealous n admit his jealousy or love but clearly now it is not working. If this is a track to make Raman understand that its ok to be sensitive sometimes u need not b the so called alpha male, sometimes u need to use ur heart instead of ur Brain n anger (showing him n example f Mani) then also its a wrong track. 😆 Raman has so many times shown his sensitive side.

Ishita's refusal towards Mani's so cAlled carrying a torch for u statement. First time in party she says I m married lemme find u a nice girl here (trying to brush aside the topic) second time in coffee shop when asked her if she lovers her husband she says its not necessary to have love in marriage it can still work again not clearly saying I am happy in my marriage. Third time on bench she says u have no copyrights over me n laughs off. If somebody is ur best friend n if u say something to them seriously they will not get hurt but be happy that u came clean wid uf issues ( if I tell my best friend ki the topicu r discussing with me I am not liking please we will not discuss this she will understand) This is called maturity, somebody with whom u have gone to school n shared homework n played with is not ur best friend.

Maybe Mani didnt wanted to come in between Ishita n subbu hence he was not there in Ishitas life n went abroad but y did Ishita not share her pain with him then? What r best friends for only happy times ? Even Mani asks her Subbu k baad itna sab hua u cud hv called me I wud hv come to u she has no answer to that.

Hence this Ishita Mani relationship does not feel like two best friends but just good frirnds chatting n remembering gud old days. Clearly Ishita finds no emotional anchor in Mani n then when she spends quality time with him giggling n laughing she comes across as silly nothing else.

I know some people r liking it but m reAlly not liking this track n if this continue m thinking f not watching YHM. It currently looks like Ishra story is not progressing although both r asking each other valid questions. I guess i will give it a break for 2 -3 days.

To me this whole Mani gushing and Mani's love smitten cheesy dialogues are like suddenly chewing on gravel in the middle of a good meal. I won't say YHM has lost its charm or anything. But often when they bring in new characters they go to extremes to hi light a certain point without paying attention to the character sketch. Same thing happened with Param, Sanjana and now Mani. They end their tracks quite nicely but the way they try to bring out a certain aspect in a track mess up with their original characterization. I think the reason is unlike viewers like us who fell in love with the original concept and the strong character build up they gave us on Ishita and Raman, they only focus on that particular track and TRP is their only goal. In the race for TRP, they know jealousy track will work because the majority wanted that. So even if that butchers the characterization of the characters they will go with that. After all it is about quantity (TRP) not about quality.
In real life If a mature lady like Ishita meets her school best friend, I don't think suddenly she would gush over that friend like a teenage person. Yes, you will remember the old times and talk a lot about it in a mature way. And you will not keep comparing your friend to your husband. And this sudden line up of boys who were waiting to marry her, where were they when her parents and she herself gave up on marriage and decided to adopt a kid just so she can have a family. The beauty of Ishita's character is getting spoiled in this race for TRP aka jealousy.

The way RKB is reacting to Mani is definitely childish, not how a confident, mature grown up would react. But that does not mean that what he is doing is not cute. If you just look at this track, yeah you can enjoy it forgetting who Raman and Ishita was. For me the sad part in this jealousy track is I am missing the ishita and Raman I fell in love with.
