Part 3 :
Vidhi is rooted to the ground, after witnessing all the exchanges between Amba and Dev's family. She earlier had an impression that this lady was a little shady but now it has become clear that she is a manipulative liar. Vidhi could not get over the fact that Amba has blatantly lied about being wife to someone without caring about his emotions and consent. Now she understood why Dev was more than glad to leave the room, where he was alone with Amba. The scene again played in front of her eyes where Dev was on his knees and had held Amba's hand in his. Thinking about it now made Vidhi wonder if Amba manipulated Dev also to be in such a position in front of her. She is the only one who knows about the two shades of Amba. Her mind was now caught between two thoughts if she should inform this to anyone, but again if she does, will they believe her.. what if they throw her out of the house, even worse what if they cancel chachi's contract also, now that they anyways had professional beauticians. She looked at chachi who was now trying to impress the women there along with her assistant, who seems to have canceled her off and came to join chachi here, obviously not letting go of this huge opportunity.
Unable to make her mind, Vidhi slowly walked out of the lounge area to the garden area for some fresh air. As she lift her head up to bask in the sun, she saw the man, who refused to leave her mind since the morning, there he was standing leaning on the balcony wall , Dev Raichand, lost in his own thoughts, staring blankly into the sky. The dilemma he had in his eyes which was similar to hers prompted her to take a decision to talk to him at once. She made a quick escape from there and could easily find her way out as guided by Dev. She reached the first floor rooms and opened the one on the right first assuming to find Dev again there. But the room was empty. When she decided to make a move from there, she noticed the overcoat of his kurta on the bed. She involuntarily reached for the coat and out of habit, tried to straighten the wrinkles with her hand. She now went to the opposite room and knocked, but receiving no response, decided to check herself. She slowly opened the door and looked around and was relieved upon finding Dev there. She slowly calls him " Devji " but he does not answer, she walks a little closer and calls again but still upon not getting any response, walks up to him and places her hand on his shoulder. Dev turns around startled and is anxious.
Vidhi : I am sorry.. so sorry.. maine knock kiya tha.. par koi jawaab nahi aaya to aise check karne aayithi.. maine dekha thaa aapko yahaan.. woh main
Vidhi stops mid way when she realises Dev perspiring a lot despite the AC being on and he looked like he was having a panic attack.
Vidhi : Devji..kya hua aapko..
She places her hand on his chest and feels the palpitations. She rests her hand there for some more time in an attempt to calm him down. Dev has an inexplicable feeling, he finds his anxiety decreasing and his erratic heart beat adjusting to a more comfortable pace. Vidhi makes him sit on the bed and gets a glass of water for him, which he gulps down in a go.
Vidhi : Aap theek ho
Dev : Hmm... ha theek hoon.. thank you. Tum yahaan??
Vidhi : Woh main.. yahaan.. main isliye..
Dev is intrigued by her hesitation and notices his overcoat which she placed on the bed, when she went to get the water.
Dev : Oh.. yeh dene aayi ho.. thanks
Vidhi : Woh actually..
Dev : Kya hua.. koi aur baat hai kya
Vidhi : Mujhe kucch aur kehna tha aapse.. par samajh mein nahin aaraha ki kaise bataaon aur agar bataadiya to aap kaise react karenge
Dev : Aisi kya baat hai.. darne ki koi baat nahin..mujhe batao kya hua hai?
Vidhi goes on to narrate all the incidents that have happened over the past hour, from Amba calling herself as Mrs. Dev Raichand to the lounge area discussion between Satya and Amba, where she accused Satya of not getting Dev married and her buttering up to Chitra. This all just confirmed Dev's worst fears, that has been penting up in him after his interaction with Amba. He again gets panicky and starts loosening his collar button in an attempt to breathe comfortably.
Vidhi : Please...please aap calm ho jaayiye.. I am sorry mujhe nahin bataana tha.. par aapki behen ki shaadi..
Dev gets restless and starts pacing here and there. Vidhi tries to talk to him, but he is not listening to her and starts searching for his medicines. She goes in front of him and commands him to stop. She holds his hand and takes him to the window. She opens the window and lets fresh air come in.
Vidhi : Breathe.. dheere dheere yeh hawaa lena
Dev : Room mein AC chal rahaa hai
Vidhi : Haan par woh to aapka kaam nahin aaraha na.. to bas yeh natural hawaa lena
She shows him to take deep breaths. Even though he was reluctant, something about her makes him follow her lead like a kid. After few breaths, he actually feels relaxed and is quite surprised at how easily she made him comfortable.
Dev : Thank you.. main actually better feel kar rahaa hoon
Vidhi gives a bright smile and he is mesmerized at how peaceful she looks. But again the reality hits him and he becomes sad.
Vidhi : Kya hogaya.. abhi to khush the
Dev : Woh Amba..
Vidhi : Arre haan.. woh aapki kucch hai kya.. matlab girl friend ?
Dev is shocked by that, but again the way Vidhi found him in the room with Amba, anyone would feel the same. He debates on whether to tell her the truth or not, but he cannot deny and decides to share his thoughts with her
Dev : Ek baat kahoon? Kisise kahoogi to nahin??
Vidhi : Main yahaan kisi ko jaanti bhi nahin hoon siwaayi aapke
Dev : Main?
Vidhi : Mera matlab hai.. personally nahin..par aap to iss shehar ke mashoor business man ho na.. sab jaante hai aapko.
Dev : Hmm
Vidhi : Main kisi ko kucch nahin kahoongi.. aap bataa sakte hai mujhe
Dev : Pata nahin kahaan se shuruaat karoon..
He takes a deep breathe and opens up at last
Dev : Woh... woh jisse tumne mila.. Amba Mehta meri dad ki dost ki beti hai. Bahut saal pehle unke business mein loss ayatha to humne help kiya tha. Uske baad maine kabhi nahin mila inse. Aaj achaanak yahaan aayi aur pata chala ki yeh meri behen ki hone waali maasi saas hai
Vidhi : Kya.. aapko pehle nahin pataa tha ki yeh ladke waalon se related hai
Dev : Nahin.. aur yeh mujhe ajeeb tarah se dhamkaa rahi thi meri behen ke naam par aur jo tumne dekha woh sab karaaya
Vidhi : Hey milapini maa.. yeh aurat to bilkul sahi nahin lag rahi hai
Dev : Haina.. mein subah se yeh hi soch rahaa hoon.. agar iska intentions theek hai to jab shaadi ke baatein chal rahi thi tab hi aajaati.. aur woh Vikram ne bhi pehle iske baare mein kucch nahin kahaa aur ab aise baat karraha hai jaise yeh sabse important member hai unke family ke
Vidhi : Kucch ajeeb to hai.. aur sabse badi baat to unhone mujhe apna introduction aapke wife ke naam par kiya hai.. aap yeh sab apni family se discuss kijiye na
Dev : Nahin.. main nahin keh sakta... Chitra pyaar karti hai Vikram se.. aur maine bhi usko support kiya.. matlab maine poore enquiry kiya uske family ke baare mein.. par ab shaadi ke din agar aisa kucch karoonga.. iska asar Chitra ke life par padega
Vidhi : Aap samajh nahin rahe ho.. agar yeh log theek nahin hai to aap kaise apni behen ka rishta inse kar sakte ho..
Dev : Woh.. woh agar main kucch kahoonga to bhi pata nahin mere pariwaar kya sochenge mere baare mein.. woh main.. main..
Vidhi : Sautele ho..
Dev is shocked at how bluntly Vidhi put the truth in front of him. But this was what was inhibiting him from sharing anything from his family
Vidhi : Jaanti hoon main.. maine suna tha.. aapje maasi ke taane. Par saath mein maine aapke maa ka pyaar bhi dekha.. pata hai aapko neeche unke apni beti ki shaadi hai par unke aankhein aapko dhoondrahe the.. woh aapke liye concerned hai.. aapne khaaya ya nahin.. kahaan ho yeh sab..
Dev : Maa to vishwaas karegi par.. baaki log.. aur agar socho yeh shaadi rok bhi doon.. to Vikram ko kucch farak nahin padega lekin meri behen ke oopar yeh saare guests aise rumours spread karenge ki uski zindagi barbaad ho jaayegi
Vidhi : Aap itne bade business man ho.. bahut saare deals smoothly crack kiye honge.. aapke andar ka bhai kamzor padraha hai.. ek business man ki tarah sochiye kaise aap apne behen ko bhi bachana hai aur unke oopar koi aanch bhi nahin aana hai... sochiye
This left Dev thinking. He really had to save his sister from this marriage along with saving her reputation which would be destroyed for no fault of hers.
