Part 2 : 

A month passes by and Dev becomes a distant memory for Vidhi. Early in the morning, Vidhi is disturbed from her sleep by some commotion downstairs in her house. She gets up and goes down to check the source of the noise and sees her mother, chaachi and other ladies of the colony setting up some delicious looking items on the table and preparing to eat.

Vidhi : Maa yeh sab kya hai

Bimla : Arre Vidhi tu jag gayi, maine parson bataya tha na tujhe aaj karwa chauth hai.. to hum sab auratein yeh sargi khakar vrat ka shuruaat karenge

Vidhi : Main to bhool gayi hoon maa

Chachi : Ha ha, arre pagli filum, agar tu yaad rakhegi tab pareshaani ki baat hai, yeh to tumhara roz ka natak hai

Vidhi tries to give her back answer but stops when her mother signals not to speak.

Vidhi : Aap logon ko karwa chauth mubaarak. Main to jaa rahin hoon sone ke liye. Aur yeh mithayiyaan bhi khaoongi. 

Saying so she grabs some sweets and runs away. Later, she gets ready for the day and joins her family in the hall.

Bimla : Aao Vidhi tumhare liye naashta laga deti hoon. Seema bhi tayaar hoke aati hogi.

Vidhi : Nahin maa, aaj mujhe ek important interview hai, main late hojaaongi. Mein wahin par kucch khaloongi

Saying so, she goes away bidding everyone goodbye. She reaches the office for her interview early by an hour. She starts preparing and as the time passes, her nervousness increases. When her turn comes, she walks in tensedly and as always fumbles due to her fear of facing people and messes up her interview. She goes to Baalghar dejectedly and spends time with the kids like always when she is upset.

Ruhi : Kya hua didi, pareshaan lag rahi ho

Vidhi : Woh yeh wala interview bhi gaya.. ab to phir se sab ke taane sunne padenge

Chotu : Arre hamare Vidhi didi ko kaun pareshaan kar sakta hai, hum sab hai na aapke saath

Vidhi : Ha ha , pata hai tabhi to main yahaan aajati hoon jab bhi mujhe pareshaani ho to

Ruhi : Chalo Vidhi didi, yeh bhool jaao aur hum garma garam pakode khaayenge

Vidhi : Arre nahin, mujhe abhi thoda kaam hai, tum log apne pakode enjoy karo, main chalti hoon

Vidhi gets a call and she goes away from there. She reaches a deserted area in an auto. It is already dark by then, she looks at the address in her mobile and looks around for the building. She finds the name and looks at the under construction building nervously. She gathers courage and climbs up the stairs to reach the terrace. She starts walking around the place slowly and scaredly, when someone places a hand on her shoulder. She opens her mouth to scream aloud but is shut with the opposite person's hands. He says...shh Vidhi, main hi hoon, tumhara Jai

Vidhi : Jai.. tum.. pehle tum mujhe itna darawni jagah par bulaate ho aur piche se aakar darate ho. Akeli ladki ko aisi jagah par kaun bulata hai

Jai : Arre tumne hi to kahaa tha na aaj raat ko milna hai bolke, aur aisi jagah to safe hai, kisi ko pata nahin chalega, hum kitna bhi time spend kare ( winks )

Vidhi : Kya, itna time nahin hai, mujhe ghar jaldi jaana hai 

Jai : Phir tumne mujhe kyun bulaya 

Vidhi : Aaj karwa chauth hai, aur maine tumhare liye vrat rakha hai, chaand bhi nikal aaya hai, tum mera vrat kholna

Jai : Tumne mujhe isliye bulaya, main to kucch aur hi, anyway yeh jaldi karo ab, mujhe kahin aur jaana hai

Vidhi : Arre kya hua, abhi to tum time spend karne ki baat karrahe the na, aur waise bhi mujhe yahan se ghar ke paas tak drop karoge na, mujhe bahut dar lag rahaa hai

Jai : Nahin Vidhi, tum cab mein chali jao, mujhe kaam hai

Vidhi : Theek hai, tum pareshaan mat ho, main khud chali jaati hoon, bas ab yeh pooja karenge

Vidhi starts setting up all the things for pooja from her bag. She gets confused while arranging and takes time, while Jai starts getting impatient. He gets mesaages and calls, which he cuts. Finally after setting up her thali, she starts to check her phone for the process while Jai is rushing her up. She starts the pooja but stops as she forgets her red dupatta to cover her head. She starts again, while Jai gets continuous calls. She finally sees the moon through the channi and starts reading a prayer. She closes her eyes and turns around to look at Jai through the channi, but when she opens her eyes it is not Jai who is in her view, but the man from the beech who helped with the icecreams was seen through the channi, standing on the adjacent building terrace looking at the moon. 

      She comes out of her shock and looks around for Jai, but he is no where to be seen. Disappointed and with tears in her eyes, she comes out of the building and starts walking aimlessly. She is stopped by some hooligans, who try to tease her and touch her inappropriately. She starts running away and bumps into a sturdy chest. On looking up, she realises it is the channi guy. He supports her from falling and pushes her aside. Without any big words, he directly goes on to take the guys one by one and bashes them all like an action hero from the movies, while Vidhi watches in awe. The guys run away from there. He helps her pick up the things from her bag. He says, Don't worry, woh log ab nahin aayenge. Raat bahut ho gayi hai, agar chahiye to main tumhe drop kar sakta hoon.

Vidhi : Nahin nahin, main chali jaaongi

He : Ghabrao mat. Mein Dev Raichand hoon, Raichand group of industries ka MD. Yeh mera card. Tum chahe to apne kisi friend ko live location share kar sakti ho aur mera details bhi. Iss waqt tumhara yahan akele rehna theek nahin hai

Vidhi silently nods and follows him to his car. He starts the car when there is a constant beep heard. 

Dev : Belt pehenna hai

Vidhi spontaneously looks down and says, par yeh to salwaar hai, while Dev is amused by her innocence and holds back his laugh. He pulls his seat belt and shows her to put hers. She tries to pull the belt but is unable to do so. Dev helps her with the belt carefully avoiding to touch her, which did not go unnoticed by her. He starts the car.

Dev : Tumhe itne raat ko akeli nahin aana chahiye tha, agar main nahin aata to pata nahin kya hosakta tha

Hearing this all the fear that was pent up in her bursts and she breaks down heavily while trying to say something. Dev stops the car and mentally hits himself for pushing her to this point. He opens the storage box in dashboard and takes a bottle of water, opens it and hands it to her. She takes it but doesnot drink yet. He, out of reflex , takes the bottle to her mouth and makes her drink some and calm her down. 

Dev : Ab hogaya na, tum safe ho, aise rona mat, bas aage dhyaan rakhna. Ek baat yaad rakho, agar kisi ne tumhe aisi jagah bulaya to woh tumhara dost nahin hai

Vidhi looks at him and thinks over his statement.

Dev : Kahaan drop karna hai tumhe?

Vidhi : Nahin.. ghar tak nahin

Dev : Main samajhta hoon, tumhare ghar waale pareshaan honge, ghar ke aaspaas chod doonga

Vidhi guides him with the route and gets down two streets away. She is still in shock and gets down and walks away without looking back, while he gets down and follows her till she reached her house. Vidhi notices all the ladies having dinner and slowly reaches her room.

Seema : Vidhi didi, aapka pehla karwachauth kaisa tha? Aapne channi mein se usko dekha kya?

Vidhi gets flashes of looking at Dev and panicks about it. She goes down to her mother.

Vidhi : Maa, channi mein se chehra dekhne se vrat poora hogaya kya?

Bimla : Vidhu, tu kab aayi?

Vidhi : Bolo na maa

Bimla : Arre nahin sirf chehra dekhne se vrat poora nahin hota hai

Vidhi breathes a sigh of relief and starts drinking water.

Bimla : Unke haath se paani peene ke baad vrat poora hota hai

Vidhi chokes on her water, remembering that Dev indeed made her drink water, in turn breaking her fast. She goes to the terrace and starts speaking to herself.

Vidhi : Yeh maa ne kya kahaan.. iska matlab usne mera vrat poora kiya.. hai ma milapini yeh kya hogaya. Bas aaj ke baad mein uss aadmi se nahin miloongi, kabhi nahin. Par usne to meri do baar madad ki aur maine use thank you bhi nahin bola. "Thank you stranger, phir se"
