Part 1: Arnav saves Khushi from Shyam

He saw them standing in the crowd, his hand holding her arm. His wife with his brother-in-law.. disgusting, he thought, closing his eyes, fuming!! He turned his back to them, he couldn't bear to see this.. "Should I call out to her?", "Should I go slap him?".. "maybe".. his thoughts were racing.. He was about to walk to them, then he remembered his Di.. how much he loved her.. Arnav didn't want to hurt his Di.. If he did something now, what if Jijaji walks out on his Di with HIS wife.. Arnav Singh Raizada's wife.. Arnav closed his eyes again, "I won't be able to bear that. and Di toh toot jaayengi. I can't have that". He opens his eyes, his face trembling with anger. "Khushi, I will make you suffer for this!". He starts walking back to his family, when suddenly the world goes quiet and the only thing in the air, loud and clear was "Arnavji.. kahan hein aap! (Arnav, where are you?)" He stops, puzzled.. wasn't that Khushi's voice? 

Khushi was struggling to free herself from Shyam's tight hold.. she wanted to slap him, but then his words disgusted her.. he wanted her to slap him so that he could feel her touch. " chee, kaise insaan hein yeh! kya karoon ab..(what kind of a human is he? what do I do now!) " She looks at Shyam, straight in the eye.. "Meri ab shaadi ho gayi hein.. chodiye mujhe.. aapko hume choone ka koyi adhikar nahi hein.. who hakk sirf aur sirf hamara pati ka hein!! (I am married, leave me alone, you don't have the right to touch me .. that right belongs only to my husband)" .. "Pati, ha! (Husband, ha!)" Shyam laughs.. "Saale saab toh aapko patni hi nahi maanti(Bro-in-law doesn't consider you his wife)".. Khushi is shocked.. how does he know that.. she stops struggling to free herself and stares at him angrily.. "Kyu.. aap bhool gaye kya.. holi ke din.. hamare chehre par usne hi pehle rang daala tha..(Why? Have you forgotten? The day of Holi.. he put the red color on my face)" .. She was running out of things to say.. but while she said those words, she remembered how Arnav had stopped Shyam from touching her.. maybe he is the only one who could save her from Shyam.. maybe she had to tell him about Shyam.. She closes her eyes and sees Arnav's face .. "Arnavji, kahan hein aap!!(Arnav, where are you?)" 

Arnav wasn't sure what just happened.. did Khushi just call him.. no wait, he turned around and she was still with Shyam.. then what did he hear just now? Did I just hear her thoughts?? He remembered how she heard him call her when he lost his voice.. is that even possible.. to hear someone else's thoughts?? Why does she want to see me now? He immediately turned his back to them again and yelled "Khushi, kahan ho tum? (Khushi where are you?)"

Shyam shuddered hearing Arnav's voice.. he looked up and saw Arnav's back facing him.. and he suddenly left Khushi's hand. Khushi's eyes flung open, she looked on her arm and realized that Shyam had let go of her arm.. she turns around and sees Arnav.. without thinking, she runs to him and puts her arm around his waist from behind, her face pressed to his back. Rabba ve.. Arnav shocked turns his face to look over his shoulder.. and slowly puts his hands on her shoulders.. then he realizes that her eyes were filled with tears.. "Khushi, kya huwa.. tum teekh ho?(Khushi, what happened, are you alright?)" He puts a finger under her chin and lifts her face to his.. Rabba ve.. she looked relieved and happy.. What does this mean, he thought.. then he heard Akash's voice from his phone.. "Bhai, bhai".. Akash was still on the other side.. He puts one arm around Khushi and uses the other arm to put his mobile to his ear.. "I'm coming, Akash.. I just found Khushi.. ".

"Rukhiye.. (Stop)", Khushi says.. "Di kahan hen.. mujhe usse kuch dena.. (Where is Anjail? I have to give her something)".. "Khushiji..  ", they looked up to see Anjali walking towards them.. "Arre, aap donna aagaye..(You both have reached) " Shyam had walked up to Arnav and Khushi by then, his face twitching seeing Arnav's arm around Khushi.. "Hamare pakode kahaan hein?(Did you get me pakode)".. funny tune in the background.. Khushi and Arnav together ask, "kya? (What)".. and Anjali quickly adds grinning, "woh na Chote, hamein pakode khanne mann kar raha tha.. aur maine Khushiji aur inko pakode dhoondne bhej diya dha (Chotte, I felt like eating pakode and I sent Shyam and Khushi to get them)" .. Arnav  suddenly realizes that he still had his arm around Khushi and slightly embarrassed, removes it.. and then looks at his Di.. "Di.. aap bhi na.. why do you want to eat outside food..?" .. Anjali grabs the paper bag from Khushi's hand, winks at her and says, "Tum bhi na chote.. ab ghar chale? (Chotte, let's go home)" 

Khushi starts moving to the exit quickly, as though wanting to run away from them. Arnav quickly grabs her hand, walks to her side and looks at her.. love in his eyes.. she looks up to his face and gets lost in his eyes.. rabba ve.. Anjali remarks to Shyam, "yeh dono kitni cute hein! (These two are so cute!)" .. and giggles.. Shyam's face twitches..

Part 2: Arnav's new plan

When he came downstairs, everyone was at the dining table. Khushi was serving food to Anjali and Payal serving Akash, Mamiji was complaining about the fancy dress competition, Mamaji trying to ignore her and Jijaji was no where to be seen. Arnav sat next to Anjali and looked at Khushi. Her face was expressionless, something was bothering her and it troubled Arnav. He had to know what was wrong! As Khushi finished serving food to Arnav, Jijaji walked up to the table. Di smiled and said, "Aap aagaye.. kaha they aap.. aap room main tho nahi they (You came back.. where were you? you weren't in your room)".. Arnav looked at Khushi then and noticed that her expression had changed.. there was anger on her face.. Is she jealous.. of my Di?? Khushi was looking straight at Shyam as he sat down next to Anjali.. then she turned and started walking away.. Anjali asked, "Khushiji.. khaana toh khaakar jaayiye..(Please eat your food before you go)".. Khushi replied, "Nahi di.. mujhe bookh nahi hein.. main kuch der baad khaaloongi(I'm not hungry, I'll eat later)" .. and walked to the stairs. Arnav got angry.. "how dare she.. first she says how important marriage is to her and then she tries to break up my di's marriage.. and now she is jealous when she sees my di's concern for jeeju!"  Arnav grabbed a plate and some food and stood up.. Di looked at him.. "kya hua chote?(What happened Arnav)".. "Di, main Khushi ke saath khaoongi, kamre main(Di, I will eat with Khushi in our room)" .. Di smiled and looked at Naani, who had a wide grin on her face.. their plan had worked.. !! 

Khushi was sitting by the poolside, hugging her knees to her chest, her back to Arnav's room .. Lakshmi on her side, chewing on leaves. "Kya karoo, Lakshmiji.. kisko bataao Shyamji ki baarein mien.. Jiji, Buaji sab parishaan ho jaayenge.. Naaniji aur Di .. nahi.. main unhe toh nahi bataa sakti.. Arnavji.. (What do I do, Lakshmi, who will I tell about Shyam? Buaji and Jiji will be worried, I can't tell Nani and Di)" she sighed and looked up to the stars.. "Amma, babuji.. kitne saare sapne they.. sab toot gayi.. pehle aap mujhe chod kar gaye.. aur phir.. Arnavji.. itna pyaar, itna fikr.. aur shaadi ke raat se itna zyaada nafrat!! Main unhe kaise bataa sakti hoon Shyamji ki baare main.. kya woh mujhe vishwas karenge.. nahi, woh toh mujhse nafrat karte hein.. toh woh kaise vishwas karenge.. (Amma Babuji, I had so many dreams, all my dreams have been shattered. First you left me, then Arnav, so much of love and care and then since our wedding night, so much of hate. How can I tell him about Shyam? Will he trust me? No, he hates me, then how will he trust me?)".. she puts her head on her knees and cries.. 

Arnav watches her as she cries, his heart breaking .. and tears in his eyes.. She thinks I don't trust her.. but I don't.. how can I? After seeing her in Jijaji's arms.. all the love she had for me, how could she have faked all that.. But what does she want to tell me about Shyam.. the fact that she loves him.. or maybe she loved him.. maybe she has started to love me now.. why else would she hug me earlier today.. but how? all I have shown is hatred towards her.. how could she love me when all I do is hurt her? Maybe I should show her that I trust her and that I love her.. maybe that can help her love me more and love Shyam less and so maybe he will start to love Di.. but is that fair to Di? is it fair to me? that the people we love never loved us back? He closes his eyes, tears running down his face.. maybe I can fake my love towards Khushi, make her think I love her and slowly make her forget about Shyam.. dammit, I don't think I can fake my love, my love is real.. His thoughts driving him crazy, he yells.. "Khushi".. She shivers and looks up from her knees.. wipes her tears and looks over her shoulder at Arnav.. Arnav sits on the floor next to her, smiles at her.. "Amma babuji se baat kar rahe ho kya? (Are you talking to your parents?)" .. She nods.. Omg, she looks so naive, how could she have possibly tried to hurt my Di.. how could she hurt anyone? He breaks a piece of roti, dips it in the curry and puts it in her mouth.. and says, "Hum khana khaate hein aur phir saat main usse baat karenge, dheek hein (First we will eat then we will sit together and talk to them, ok?)".. She nods again, tears rolling down her cheeks.. rabba ve.."Aap aise.. (Why are you behaving this way?)" She looks around and sees no one.. What is happening? There is no one watching us, why is he being nice? "Tum mujhe bhi khilao na..(Feed me too)", Arnav had a naughty smile on his face..rabba ve.. As she put the roti in his mouth, his eyes went to her right wrist.. her wrist was red and sore .. Did Jijaji do that to her? He looked at her face.. she looked shy.. she does love me.. Arnav thought, his heartbeats racing.. 

They sat watching the stars for a while. Arnav noticed later that Khushi had leaned against the chair and fallen asleep.. Arnav carried her in his arms and put her on the bed, covered her with the blanket and sat down on the floor next to the bed watching her sleep.. She looks so peaceful, like an angel..rabba ve.. He moved the hair that was on her face, fighting hard with the temptation to kiss her.. Why Khushi? Why did you betray me?

Her hands on his face.. I have to ask you something.. his hand in her hands pressed against her chest.. Why does my heart beat faster when you are near me.. His eyes flew open.. and Arnav realized he was dreaming.. no, that could not have been a dream.. it looked so real.. when did that happen.. he looked at Khushi and he realized that he had fallen asleep sitting on the floor, his head on the bed next to Khushi, his hand in hers.. Holi.. when they had bhang.. Didn't Khushi say that she spoke her true feelings when she drank bhang.. so she does love me.. Arnav was so happy.. he looked at her.. rabba ve.. she is so beautiful.. her eyes.. her smile.. her hair.. well, I might never be able to forgive her for loving Shyam or trying to break up my sister's marriage.. but I can love her so much that she will never go back to Shyam.. Yes, that's what I will do now.. I have punished her enough.. no more hate, only love for her.. But Jijaji hurt her yesterday, does that mean he wants her to love him back? How do I make him forget Khushi.. maybe show him that we love each other.. rub it in his face, Arnav grinned.. that will do.. wait and watch, Jijaji.. you wait and watch!!!!

Part 3 : Khushi saves Anjali

Hum hamesha hamesha tumse ( I will always..).. she opened her eyes.. what did he mean? Does he love me? She rubbed her eyes and yawned and tried to sit up. Then she realized that her hand .. she looked to her left and realized that Arnav was lying next to her on the bed, his hands tightly holding her left hand. She screamed and Arnav jumped up.. "Kya hua Khushi (What happened Khushi)", still holding her hand. "Aap.. aaapp.. yahaa (You are here?)", Khushi stammered, pointing to the bed.. "Aur main yahaan (and I am here?)" . Arnav replied with a puzzled look on his face.. "Haan main aur tum yahaan.. kahin aur hona chahiye kya (Yes, you and I are here.. should we be somewhere else?)". She shakes her head.. "Nahi.. woh aap bistar main kya.. (No, what are you doing on the bed)" she couldn't finish the sentence, she felt her face burning up.. Arnav noticed that her cheeks had gone red. He released her hand, touched her face with his palm and smiled.. "Main tumhara pati jo hoon.. (well I am your husband)" .. Khushi felt a shiver down her spine.. rabba ve.. He traced his finger slowly down her face and held her cheek lightly in his palm. "Par kal raat kya hua dha.. (But what happened last night)", she asked, her eyes tearing up. He smiles.. "Tum itne zor zor se kharrate ley rahe they.. aur kuch nahi hua..(you were snoring loudly, nothing else happened)" She stares at him astonished and he laughs.. "Ab chalo, nahaalo aur uske baat mujhe nahaakar office jaana hein..(Now go, take a shower and then I need to take a shower and leave for office)" She gets off the bed and walks to the bathroom, still surprised by his behavior. 

When she got out of the bathroom, he was already up and working on his laptop. She noticed that he was watching her as she dried her hair. As she sat down in front of the mirror, she looked at him in the mirror and asked, "Aise kya dekh rahe ho.. bathroom khaali hain.. aap jaayiye (Why are you looking at me like this? The bathroom is empty.. go)" .. He got up from the recliner, walked up to her as she started combing her hair. As she reached for the sindoor box, he grabbed it from her hand and she looked up at him.. "What the" .. Arnav looked at her, surprised.. and she put her palm on her mouth, her eyes bulging in shock at what she said. Arnav smiled and asked, "Kya (what)" .. She looked down, not knowing what to say when she realized that he had just put sindoor on her forehead.. She looked up and some sindoor fell from his hand on her nose. She remembered the night when Arnav had put sindoor on her earlier in the temple, with such force, such hatred in his eyes.. and now she looked into his eyes'she could only see love.. rabba ve.. A tear rolled down her cheek. Arnav got on his knee, wiped the tear off her face and the sindoor off her nose and kissed her nose. Khushi got up suddenly and not knowing what to do, ran to the door. Arnav looked at her and smiled, put the sindoor box on the dressing table and walked to the bathroom.

Anjali was performing the puja when Khushi came out of the kitchen. Khushi walked towards the mandir to take the prasad, when Anjali saw her and smiled. Khushi smiled back and then her smile disappeared, as Anjali stepped on her sari and tripped, the thali with the lighted diya falling from her hand. Khushi ran to her and held her, without realizing that the diya had fallen on her dupatta and her dupatta had caught fire. "Di.. yeh aapne kya kiya.. aap ko kuch ho jaati toh.. hum aap ke saath puja karlete.. aapko akele puja karne ki kya zaroorat dhi..(Di, what did you do? What if something had happened to you? I would have done the puja with you? Why did you do it alone?)" Khushi felt her dupatta being pulled off her and she looked over her shoulder to see Arnav fighting with the flames on her dupatta. Anjali looked at Khushi, "meri baat chodiye.. aapke dupatte main aag (Forget about me, your shawl was on fire)".. "Toh kya Di.. aap ka zindagi mujhse zyaada keemti hain (So what Di, your life is more precious than mine)", Khushi took Anjali's hand, remembering how Arnav had done the same once when Anjali had gone missing and they had found her at the temple.. Arnavji loves his Di and how will he survive if something happens to his sister. "Khushi.." Arnav yells, angrily. "Agar tumhe kuch ho jaata toh.. tumhare bina main (What if something had happened to you, without you, I'm..)".. He pulls her towards him. She looks at him, his eyes had teared up.. rabba ve.. He looked next at his sister.. "Tum donno mere zindagi ho.. tumhare bin main kuch nahi hoon (You both are my life, I am nothing without you)" and he hugged his sister and Khushi. Anjali smiled, "Main aaj itni khush hoon Chote.. (I am very happy today, Chotte)". Arnav and Anjali walked to the dining room.  Khushi went upstairs to change, remembering how this time Arnav had first been concerned about her, before his Di. 

As they were eating, Khushi's voice was echoing in Arnav's mind.. "Aap ko kuch ho jaati toh (What if something had happened to you)".. ."Aapke zindagi mujhse zyaada keemti hain (Your life is more precious than mine)".. and on the night of the Dilli main Bali hotel, "Main bhi ye sirf Di ke liye kar rahi hoon (I am also just doing this for Di)" .. Does she really care about Di? Then why was she having an affair with Shyam? Was I wrong about her? Was she not trying to break up my sister's wedding? He looked at Khushi who was sitting next to Nani, busily chatting with her. He looked at Shyam and he was staring at Khushi.. Arnav got up and went to Khushi and said, "Main office jaa raha hoon.. aaj raat ko jaldi aaoonga.. kal raat ki baad aaj..(I am going to office. I'll come home early.. after last night, tonight..)" and he smiled at her. She looked at him confused, but her face had turned red. He looked at Shyam and he was angrily staring back at Arnav. Arnav smirked and walked to the door, leaving a puzzled Khushi and a grinning Nani and Anjali at the table.

Don't worry guys, please give it time.. I am making them realize their love for each other, and both Arnav and Khushi are going to put two and two together and solve the MU.. now that they both know they love each other, the pain is going to be more.. for Khushi because Arnav loved her but didn't trust her and Arnav of guilt, knowing that Khushi always loved only him. 

Btw, I wasn't sure if I should make Arnav this bold, but he is very bold.. remember he kissed her first at the poolside.. I hope you liked the kiss on the nose and the sindoor and the naughtiness in front of everyone ;)
