The next morning he got up and went to the office.

"Sir, today we were about to have a meeting regarding our material suppliers"- said his PA.

Yeah I remember, we are new in the market and our product should have the best quality.. Immediately arrange the suppliers meeting. I want to talk to them.. he said.

"And there is a party arranged by "SG industries" sir, we have to attend it. It's one of the top most companies as of now."

"SG industries" - he was aware of the company, Okay when's the party? He asked.

Today at 8PM sir.

Okay I'll be there- he said and went off to the meeting.

The clock striked 8 PM. Mostly everyone has arrived and the party has started. She was receiving all the guests.

He too entered the hall. He started searching for somebody. He was stunned to see her there.

Yes, he knows that SG group of company is her father's but Ragini never attends such official parties. He looked confused.

Meanwhile Ragini noticed him, she has to receive him but she was not ready. Somehow she managed to gather the courage and went to receive him.

Hi Mr.Maheswari, welcome- she said.

He was still standing there confused. He didn't respond.

Mr.Maheswari - this time a little louder.

Laksh came back to his senses and reciprocated. Hi Ragini! - he said.

Hi! Come and join the party- she invited him.

But where's Sheka- he was about to ask, somebody called Ragini and she went off.

Laksh too joined the party. Both of them were busy talking with others. The party somehow ended.

He was in his bed recalling the moments in the party. Flashes of Ragini came in his mind.

"Mr.Maheswari" "Mr.Maheswari" - her words echoed in his mind.

Just then he realized that she called him Mr.Maheswari not Laksh. Her words affected his mind.

He was unable to get why she's calling him like that.

It was 10 AM her mobile rang. She picked up the phone.

Hello! I'm Lak - before he could complete

Yeah! I got you - she responded.

He become silent for a second and somehow managed to reply.

I want to meet you, It's official- he said.

Okay! 5PM at Sunshine caf- she replied casually.

Okay will be there- he cut the call.

He went speechless, it's been 6 years she still remember my voice.

It was 4.45PM and he was waiting for her in the caf. He didn't know why he was there so early.

At the moment she entered the caf. She saw him sitting on the same corner where they used to sit. Their laugh, their cute arguments over small, small things everything just passed over her mind. She started moving towards him.

He noticed her and said, Hi Ragini!

Hello, Mr.Maheswari - she too responded.

He was not able to take the "Mr.Maheswari tag". It's Laksh! You can call me Laksh- he said.

I tried to contact Sheka- but the waiter interrupted his words.

Sir, your order please! - he asked.

"One cappuccino"- both ordered at the same time. The waiter took the order and went away.

There was an awkward silence between them. He decided to break the silence.

I got to know that your company materials have the best quality comparing to others in the market - he started with a appreciating point. After all he's a business man.

So I want your company to supply materials for us - he paused for her reply.

Well, Laksh I am happy with this proposal, but I have to talk with Aditya once to finalise it.

He was shocked to listen "Aditya" from her. She said she's not married so maybe her boyfriend.. his chain of thoughts were broken by Ragini.

Aditya- our company secretary, I have to talk to him once before we finalise the deal- she said.

Laksh was unable to judge what's happening with him.

Mean while Ragini finished her coffee. So I'll inform you once I consult about this with Aditya - she said.

Okay, so I'll call you back and thanks for the coffee- she signed off from there.

Laksh was sitting there like a confused soul but Ragini didn't bother to pay attention.

PART-4

It was 10PM and Ragini was lying in the bed and was seriously trying to sleep. But it was not happening. Her thoughts didn't let her to sleep. She was wondering how she managed to be that strong in front of Laksh. "Ragini you've moved on" - she thought with a bitter smile in her face. She couldn't be able to understand whether she should be happy or sad. Thinking this she moved towards her wardrobe. She started searching for something in between her clothes and finally got it. It was an old photo album.

She gained all her courage to meet her past. With a bitter smile her hands started turning the pages of the album. There was a photo where a boy and girl were standing and her hands had a "Star shaped badge". After seeing the photo, Ragini brusted out a laugh. She couldn't control her laugh and her emotions won by slowly turning her laugh into a big cry. She was seeing the photo and her eyes were struck by tears.

It was her sixth birthday and she was waiting for Laksh. She was wearing a white gown which made her look like a little angel. There was a party arranged and Maheswaris were also invited as Shekar and Durga Prasad were family friends and so Laksh and Ragini. Finally Durga Prasad came with his family. Shekar along with Durga Prasad and others were engaged so much in talking.

Laksh ran towards Ragini. By seeing this, her face had a grin which showed a gap between her teeth after her first baby tooth loss. "Happy Birthday Ragu" - he wished her and showed an empty palm in front of her.

"No first my gift then chocolate" - she replied.

He smilingly put his small hands into his shirt pocket and took a "Star" from it. Ragini was surprised to see the gift. It was fully studded with stones and literally shinned like a star.

"Happy Birthday Ragu- he again wished her and handed over the star to her. We were having problems in counting stars na, so I thought of gifting one to you. Now it will be easy for us to count as I've already gifted you one"- he said in a cute voice.

Really!!! - She asked surprisingly.

Really!!! And I'll keep gifting you stars in your coming birthdays and the stars in the sky will reduce and it'll be easy for us to count. If you don't believe me you count it today one star will be missing - he said it with an assuring smile.

Finally the party got over and the Maheswaris too left. Ragini was lying in the terrace keeping her head in Janki's lap. Her hand had the star which Laksh gave her and she was smiling and started counting the stars. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7... she didn't realize when fell asleep.

It was Sunday so Aditya was busy in his sleep. His phone rang and he suddenly jerked up to pick the phone after seeing the name "Jaan" in his phone screen.

"Good morning Jaan" - he wished her.

"Good morning Aditya" sorry if I disturbed your sleep- she said.

Arre, it's ok baba. Now tell me how you remembered me this early- he asked in a naughty way.

No, actually I want to talk to you about a deal. You know Laksh group of companies right, they want to make a deal with us. So thought of consulting about it with you - she replied.

Okay, but you've to invite me for lunch today. It's been so many days I haven't ate the food made by you. If you're ready for this then fix the meeting today in your house.

Okay! I'll inform Laksh about the meeting- she replied and cut the call.

It was 9.30AM when she called him. He was literally waiting for her call from the last night. So he rushed to pick up.

Hello - he started.

Hello! I called you to inform that I have arranged a meeting in our house about the deal and you can also join us for a lunch. I'll message you the address- she spoke in a single breath.

He was unable to speak for a second but somehow he managed himself- No I remember the address- he said.

Okay then, Bye! -she cut the call.

He never expected that the phone conversation would end like this.
