@Shivani- below is my reply to your lovely long comments on page 43 of this thread 🤗

I am sorry its taken this long but as you probably saw from other posts, slightly fighting against time. Firstly thanks hugely for the appreciation and the real encouragement I found from your words especially where you said you thought the story worthy and a "tale not to be missed" 😳. Yes, as an author of course I have a HUGE way to go to satisfy myself, I am a typical Virgo and my own harshest critic but reading feedback like this makes it easier to go on 😳

I loved how you picked up all the nuances that were my driving forces behind the wider plotting. Sanskaar for me isn't "hard" to write as such. I love this man, in my mind he is as real to me as Mr Darcy is- so very real 😆. Whilst the names and wider concept is from the show as you said, I have tried to build DK to the story I would want to see or the one that plays in my head with HD quality images. With characters like Ragini that you comment on I write how I see layers, my frustration too is we usually miss all that in shows especially indian tv shows so this is my world and I try to make it as real as I can. And yes, there is not only light vs dark etc as in SwaSan but others too as of course with SwaSan, Sanskaar is dark only in parts 😃, there is so much light and it took Swara's brightness to bring his forth and banish those shadows around him. But he can don the dark knight guise when he needs to to save the light in his life. And no he's not perfect, I don't like "perfect" in that sense, to me the imperfection makes the perfect 😊

I won't talk much about the suspicions you had on Sharmistha- I answered that separately but no she wasn't negative and Annapurna was far from it but with Annapurna she does have a ruthless streak she can use, only unlike Janaki she chooses not to use it for bad. I did hold cards very close to my chest to reveal Janaki when I thought the shock factor worked best 😉.

We are totally in agreement about the duality in people not just then but even now about how women are judged by different standards. The events you picked as standing out most to you including Samkalgoonj and Ehsaas Nagar and then Swara's reaction to the kill were very special to me too 😳. Oh the names- I gave a lot of thought each time to them and every time someone appreciated them it made me so glad.

Devendra is evil and yes there is no justification for him, and in some way that is what to me makes him the ultimate villain. In 33 there is some delving into his psyche but all that reveals is he loves to inflict pain and he is cruel as he is sick in the head in that sense and he loves to cause hurt on others 🤢. My sentiments are not hurt at all by your assessment of the chapter where Devendra captures and tortures SwaSan but I am afraid I cannot agree. Anything more he could do there to Swara would be rape and I didn't want to go there; I didn't see the story going there as then it would be a tale of her surviving that and all the rest that needed to play out with all the politics and rest would be overkill and inappropriate. In that time and place what happened with Swara, a totally innocent royal born sheltered as she was, the assault in my view was bad enough. I wanted that to be the trauma that actually cemented SwaSan but didn't destroy them. Plus you didn't know then but I was holding some more evilness from Dev spare for 33 🤢. Totally respect that it didn't make an impact on you but I felt more was gratuitous so stopped where I did. I also do believe in divine intervention and like to think God would sometimes protect his own from the worst of things 😳

I am so pleased you liked the rest of the action and romance and like me you clearly like layered characters, Ragini and Kavita are thus moulded that way. Good, evil, passive or whatever, a person should have some motivation, some reasoning for acting the way they do- my attempts there are not to justify them but simply to show why they were who or how they are:)

Your questions 😆- Sharmishta is just a rather soft and gentle and passive soul. She lacks the fire that characterises others in the tale but I didn't think that unreal- I myself know a lot of people like that 😆 Later chapters will have told you the woman writing the letter was Janaki 😡. Annapurna wanted the letter to send to Sanskaar as we also saw later 😃.

Loved the whole comment and the khushi ke aansoon too 😆. Will wait for more if you feel similarly moved after 33 😆
