Chapter 6:-
Lakshya and Ragini head towards the wedding venue in Lakshya's car. Ragini is little nervous. Lakshya notices this.
Lakshya- Ragini, are you okay?
Ragini- Yes sir, I'm fine.
Lakshya- Well, if you don't wanna tell me then it's absolutely fine. I mean I'm just your boss, not your friend, right?
Ragini (in mind)- Yes, you're not my friend. Because you're much more than that.
Ragini- No sir, it's not like that. I'm just nervous.
Lakshya- Why so?
Ragini- Because firstly, I've never been to such a big party. Secondly, I'm sure you didn't like what I'm wearing. I know you'll feel embarrased to tell everyone that I'm with you in the party.
Lakshya- Well, that's true. I don't like what you're wearing but I do like how it made you look.
Ragini (confused)- Sorry? I didn't get you.
Lakshya- Okay, I didn't want to say this but you kinda look good today.
Ragini blushes. Lakshya notices this.
Lakshya- Hey, stop blushing! I just said you're looking good today. I didn't say that I love you.
Ragini feels awkward hearing this. Lakshya understands it so he tries to calm her down.
Lakshya- Hahaha chill! I was kidding.
Ragini (in mind)- I know that, sir. I know you would never say I love you to me. You will never love a traditional and boring girl like me.
Ragini- I know that, sir.
Lakshya- You know what?
Ragini- That you were kidding.
Lakshya- Oh.
There was a long silence betwwen them for a long time. Suddenly, Ragini sees a gol gappa stall at the roadside. She shouts.
Ragini- Sir!!!!!!
Lakshya gets shocked. He actually gets worried for her thinking something might have happened to her. He immediately stops the car.
Lakshya (worried)- What? Are you okay? Why did you scream?
Ragini makes an innocent puppy face.
Ragini- Sir, I wanna eat gol gappa (pointing towards the gol gappa stall).
Lakshya makes an angry face and looks at her angrily. But seeing her puppy face, he melts down.
Lakshya (in mind)- OMG! This face can kill a heart anytime. She looks so cute.
Lakshya- Don't make that face. You look ugly.
Ragini- Sir, please please please! I wanna eat gol gappa.
Lakshya- Fine, let's go.
Lakshya and Ragini walk to the gol gappa stall.
Ragini (to the gol gappa wala)- Bhaiyya, give gol gappas to both of us.
Lakshya- Gol gappa? Yuck! No ways, It's so unhygeinic. I'm not eating it. If you wanna eat, you can.
Ragini- Just one, sir. I'm sure you'll like it.
Lakshya- No means no!
Ragini- Eat it for your Guddi at least.
Lakshya- My Guddi? Stop teasing me with her Ragini. I don't even know where she is. What if she is married now?
Ragini- What if she isn't? Will you marry her?
Lakshya- I told you I'm not ready for marriage now.
Ragini- Not now, but someday you eventually have to get married, right? If in any point of life you come across Guddi again and you come to know that she isn't married yet and still waiting for you, then?
Lakshya thinks for a moment. The gol gappa wala gets irritated.
Gol gappa wala- Maa'm, for how many shall I serve? Please be quick. I've other customers too.
Lakshya looks at Ragini and both start laughing.
Ragini (to the gol gappa wala)- Serve only for me. He won't eat.
Ragini eats around 50 gol gappas and she's still eating.
Lakshya- Hey you fatty, stop it now. You've been eating gol gappas for about half an hour and I'm waiting for you here like a fool.
Ragini- Last one, sir.
Lakshya- Uff! Okay.
After a few minutes, Ragini finishes eating gol gappa. Lakshya pays the bill and both head towards the car.
Lakshya- Fatso! You eat so much.
Ragini- Hooo! I'm not fat, okay?
Lakshya- Oh yes, you are, miss secretary.
Ragini- Whatever! Accha, I asked you something.
RagLak sit inside the car.
Ragini- Sir, will I get my answer? I'm asking you again.
Lakshya- Answer for what?
Ragini- I asked you if you meet Guddi again in any point of life and it turns out that she is still unmarried and waiting for you, then?
Lakshya- I don't know. I've never thought about it.
Ragini- Still is there a chance?
Lakshya- It depends.
Ragini- On?
Lakshya- On her. If she is the one, I'll marry her. If I skip a beat on seeing her, I'll marry her. If I can freely share my secrets with her, I'll marry her. If she can make me laugh and forget my pain, I'll marry her. If she can take care of me like my mother used to do, I'll marry her. If I feel like her happiness means more than my happiness to me, I'll marry her. If she can love me like my mother used to do, I'll marry her. If I feel special when I'm around her, I'll marry her. But that is hard to happen cause I don't even know know where she is. And you know, love is not the only requirement in a relationship. There should be mutual trust and understanding. Even if I'm in love with her, I don't think she'll be able to handle me. I'm never loyal to one girl. I'm an a** in love cases, I always was! And I would never hurt a girl like her for my entertainment. Because as far as I know myself, I'm not the lover boy types. I prefer flirting and girls like Guddi are not meant for flirting. Let's take you for an example. I never flirted with you, you know why?
Ragini- Because I'm not beautiful.
Lakshya- No stupid, you are beautiful. But the thing is that you are of Guddi's kind and such girls are not made for boys like me. You deserve someone gentle, hardworking, someone who can take care of you. Someone like my brother, Sanky!
Ragini- What if she says she wants you and no one else? What if she says she doesn't care how much of a jerk you are? What if she says she is okay with your flirty habit?
What if she says she can handle you better than you can handle yourself? What if she says she can make you forget your past totally and give you a new life? What if she actually makes you feel special when you're around her? What if she loves and cares for you even more than your mother used to do?
Lakshya and Ragini are deeply lost in each other's eyes.
Lakshya- I don't know about her but I think you love me.
Ragini gets shocked.
Ragini- What?? No, I...
Lakshya- Hahaha oh my god I was kidding. Look at your face. So scared you look!
Ragini gets nervous.
Lakshya- Ragini, if she and I are destined to be together, we will be together one day. And talking about the love part, I already told you I find it next to impossible to believe that I can love someone. You're the only girl I've met till now who can actually handle and understand me. You're the only girl whom I can really trust. And I don't think Guddi will be able to replace you.
Lakshya (in mind)- Shit! What did I say? Did I actually say that? She must be thinking something else. I don't love her. I shouldn't be giving her false hopes.
Ragini starts smiling.
Lakshya- Stop smiling, okay? You look ugly when you smile.
Ragini- Okay.
After a few minutes, RagLak reach the wedding venue. As soon as Ragini gets down from the car, all the boys stare at her like crazy. Lakshya sees this. He goes near her and silently whispers to her ear.
Lakshya (whispers to her ear)- I think you'll find your prince charming here itself, in this marriage. Look, so many guys have their eyes on you. All you have to do is choose one.
Ragini (in mind)- I've already found my prince charming 16 years ago, sir.
Lakshya winks at Ragini and goes to meet the bride-groom leaving Ragini alone. She starts feeling lonely. After a few seconds, a man comes near her. He looks at her from top to bottom. She starts feeling uncomfortable.
The man- Hey, I must say you're beautiful.
Ragini- Thanks. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go.
The man- Wait! No hurry, let me look at your beauty first. I've never seen someone as beautiful as you. But why do you hide your beauty with that dupatta? Let me remove it.
Ragini is scared as shit. She starts crying. As soon as the man tries to snatch away Ragini's dupatta, Lakshya holds his hand and blocks his way. He stands infront of Ragini, protecting her. Ragini hides behind him. She raises her head slightly and keeps watching everything from Lakshya's left shouder. Lakshya handles this scene in a funny way.
Lakshya (to the man)- Bro, what do you see in this girl? Thousands of other sexy girls are here in this party. Why this girl? She's not worth it. Had I been in your place, I would've gone for the hot ones. I would never run after this behenji!
The man- Don't try to double cross me. I know what you're doing. Who is this girl to you? Your wife? Your girlfriend? Stay out of my matters!
Lakshya- Well, thank god she is not my wife or girlfriend. She's not even my sister. But if you don't move out of my sight in 10 seconds, I swear even your own sister or wife or girlfriend wouldn't be able to recognize your face after what I'm gonna do to you. I'm not kidding, I'm serious. Okay, I'll count to 10. 1, 2, 3, 4 5...
The man gets scared and runs away in 5. Lakshya gets worried for Ragini.
Lakshya- Are you okay?
Ragini- Yeah. Sir, please let's go home. I don't like it here.
Laksha- Are you sure?
Ragini- Yeah.
Lakshya- Okay, let's go.
RagLak sit inside the car and head back towards home. There is a long silence. After a few minutes, Ragini speaks up.
Ragini- Thank you, sir.
Lakshya- For what?
Ragini- For saving me. Had you not come on time, I don't know what he would've done with me today.
Lakshya- He is still alive because he didn't touch you. Had he touched you, I swear I would've killed him.
Ragini looks at Lakshya with tears in her eyes. Lakshya too looks at her. There is an intense eyelock. SANAM RE playing on the background.

Lakshya looks the other side. Ragini also recomposes herself.
