Chapter 4:-
NOTE (New characters)- Omi, Vikram and Ronit. Lakshya's new friends whom he meets at Tina's party.
~AFTER 3 MONTHS~~
3 months are gone. Lakshya is still the same. He hasn't changed a bit. Ragini keeps saving him from his father every now and then. We can see that Lakshya and his father have arrived office. They get down from the car. Lakshya walks to his cabin. He opens the door of his cabin and sees Ragini cleaning the mess that he had made the previous day. His headphones were hanging at the handle of his chair, the files were spread all around the cabin, his laptop was kept carelessly on the sofa, his sunglasses were falling on the floor. The room looked like a zoo and Ragini was cleaning it. She was setting everything right in their places. Lakshya enters and sits on his chair. He takes out his phone from his pocket and starts chatting with his friends. Ragini sees him and smiles.
Ragini- Good morning, sir.
Lakshya- How is my morning supposed to be good when your face is in front of me? Anways, what are you doing?
Ragini- Cleaning the mess, sir. Look at the room. It's so messy. Your things are spread here and there.
Lakshya- That is what you've been appointed for, right? You have been appointed to take care of me and all my belongings. It's your duty to set my things right. And I'll be honest, I cannot even manage my own handkerchief. You'll have to take care of everything that belongs to me. And since I'm your boss, you have to clean all the mess that I make. So do it and stop complaining.
Ragini- No sir, I wasn't complaining. I was just...
Lakshya- Shut up! You talk too much. Carry on with whatever you were doing.
Ragini continues cleaning the room and Lakshya keeps chatting with his friends. Suddenly, Tina enters.
Tina- May I come in, Lucky?
Lakshya- Hey, babe! Yeah, come in.
Tina looks at Ragini and sees her cleaning the cabin. She insults her.
Tina- Wow Ragini, I didn't know you're such a good maid. Would you work for me too?
Tina lets out an evil smirk. Ragini doesn't react. She continues doing her work. Tina then walk towards Lakshya.
Tina- Lucky, there's a party at my place today. And you're invited so you have to come. No excuses!
Lakshya- But Tina, if dad comes to know that I'm missing during the office hours, he'll kill me. I'm sorry, I won't be able to go.
Tina- He won't come to know about it. I have a plan.
Lakshya- What is it?
Tina looks at Ragini and then back at Lakshya. She smirks evilly. Lakshya understands what she meant. He too lets out an evil smirk and nods.
Lakshya (to Ragini)- Ragini, I'm going out with Tina. If dad comes, use your brain and make an excuse. I know you're good at that, anyway. He must not come to know that I'm missing, do you hear me?
Ragini- Yes, sir.
Lakshya- Good. See you, miss secretary.
Tina and Lakshya leave from the office. After Ragini's work is done, she sits on the sofa and starts writing her diary. On the other hand, Lakshya is enjoying with Tina and her friends. He's gotten some good friends too. Omi, Vikram (Vicky) and Ronit! They all drink, dance and enjoy to the fullest. Lakshya tells them everything about his life, his father and his "behenji" secretary.
Vikram- So what you mean to say is your secretary isn't sexy?
Lakshya- Sexy? Come on, she doesn't even touch that word. You know she wears that thing which comes to the level of her legs. I don't know what it's called.
Omi- You must be talking about salwar kameez.
Lakshya- Yeah, right. She wears salwar kameez. That too with a dupatta.
Omi- Lucky, you're wrong. Just because she wears salwar kameez doesn't mean she is boring. You should at least try talking to her once.
Lakshya- Whatever! I'm not interested. She irritates me too much. Anyways, lets's get another drink.
Ronit- Lucky you know, in most cases, guys like us end up falling for these traditional girls. May be someday you end up falling for her, as well.
Lakshya- What? Have you lost it? Even if she is the last girl remaining on earth, I would still not fall in love with her.
Ronit- Hahaha chill, I was just kidding.
Lakshya (in mind)- Ragini? My love? Can I fall in love with her? Oh, come on! Not even in my wildest nightmares.
Everyone enjoyed a lot. It's about 8 at night. Lakshya is badly drunk. He is not in a condition to drive back home. Omi, Ronit and Vicky get concerned about Lakshya.
Omi (to Tina)- Tina, do you have Lucky's address?
Tina- Yes, but I'm not coming to his place. PRM will kick me out of my job if he comes to know that Lucky was with me. I don't wanna lose my job.
Omi- Don't be an a**, Tina. Lucky needs us.
Tina- I'm not gonna take you to his place, that's it.
Vikram- What are we gonna do now? We can't just leave him like this.
Tina- I have an idea.
Ronit- Speak up, fast.
Tina- I'll go to office. Ragini must still be there. She leaves at 9. If I see her there, I'll ask her to drop him home. PRM sir likes her a lot. I'm sure she'll manage everything.
Omi- Who's this Ragini?
Tina- Lucky's secretary. The girl he was talking about.
Omi- But he hates her.
Tina- So what? Look at his condition. He won't remember anything tomorrow. Only Ragini can help us now.
Tina immediately leaves for office. She sees Ragini packing her stuff and ready to leave.
Tina- Ragini, come with me.
Ragini- What's wrong, Tina? Is everything okay?
Tina- Nothing is okay. Lucky needs you.
Ragini gets tensed.
Ragini- What? Is he okay? Where's he?
Tina- He's my at my place, drop dead drunk! We need your help, Ragini. Drop him to his place, please. If you don't help us, PRM will kill Lucky. You know how much he hates all this, right?
Ragini gets scared thinking about the consequences Lakshya might have to face the next day if she doesn't help, so she agrees.
Ragini- Alright, I'll help.
Tina- You have his address, right?
Ragini- Yeah.
Tina- Great. Let's go then.
Tina and Ragini reach Tina's place. Ragini sees Lakshya sitting on the sofa, not even being able to stand up properly. She runs to him. Tears start flowing from her eyes seeing his condition. She sits near him and cups his face with both her hands.
Ragini- Sir? Sir? Can you hear me? Are you okay?
Lakshya (drunk)- You? You followed me here too? Why don't you leave me alone? Why don't you understand that I simply don't like to see your face? And how dare you touch me? Get your hands off me! Your face irritates me. Your name irritates me. You irritate me!
Ragini's eyes start to water even more. Tina starts laughing at Lakshya's words. Seeing her, everyone except Omi, Vikram and Ronit starts laughing.
Omi (shouts to everyone)- Shut up! Why are you guys laughing? What is there to laugh about?
Everyone stops laughing. Ragini feels embarrased. She wipes her tears and tries to make Lakshya stand. But being a girl, Ragini couldn't do that alone. So Ronit, Omi and Vikram come to help her.
Ronit- Ragini, let us help you. We will take him to the car. You just take us to his address, okay?
Ragini- Okay, thank you.
Omi, Ronit and Vikram take Lakshya to his car. Ragini sits on the back seat with Lakshya and Omi drives the car. Ronit sits near Omi. Vikram stays with Tina. Ragini places Lakshya's head on her lap and keeps carassing his hair gently while Lakshya is made to lay down on the seat with his head on Ragini's lap. He is in deep sleep so he doesn't know anything what's going around him. Upon reaching Maheshwari Mansion, Omi and Ronit start picking up Lakshya from the seat but Ragini stops them.
Ragini- Thank you both a lot for helping me but I'll take from here. If PRM sir sees you both with Lakshya sir in this condition, he'll get angry at both of you and I don't want that to happen. I don't want him to insult you guys.
Omi- Are you sure you can manage?
Ragini- Yes, thank you. I'll manage.
Omi- Cool.
Ragini gives a smile to them. She somehow takes Lakshya inside. Omi and Ronit sit in the car and drive back to Tina's place.
Ronit- Lucky was wrong, Omi. Ragini isn't bad.
Omi- Yeah Ronit, I could see love in her eyes for Lucky. I'm sure she loves him a lot.
Ronit- Lucky insulted her so badly, that too in front of us all. But she didn't utter a word. Even after tolerating all this, she still helped him. And did you see the concern for him in her eyes? She cried seeing Lucky in that condition. She cares for him a lot.
Omi- Exactly! Wait and watch Ronit, one day Lucky will tell us that he has fallen in love with her. I can stamp it on a paper!
Both Omi and Ronit laugh. On the other side, Ragini was trying to take Lakshya to his room. But on the way, PRM sees them.
PRM- Ragini, you here? And what's wrong with Lucky? Why is he not being able to stand by himself? Why are you being his support?
Ragini gets scared as shit. She doesn't know what to say. She tries to make an excuse.
Ragini- Sir, Lakshya sir is not feeling well. I took him to a restaurant today and he ate something that didn't suit him.
PRM laughs and comes near them. Ragini gets nervous and looks down.
Ragini (in mind)- Oh god, no! If PRM sir comes near Lakshya sir, he'll get the smell of alcohol and we both shall be dead. I don't care about myself but Lakshya sir will be kicked out of the house. Please save him, god.
PRM- Ragini, you don't have to lie to me. I know he's drunk as shit. I know you're trying to save him but why? Why do you protect him everytime? Even the last time when you told me Lucky had gone out to bring some documents, I knew you were lying. And all the file works? They're all done by you. I know that too. But why? Why have you been saving him from the last 3 months? Why do you always take the blame on yourself when the one to be blamed is always Lucky? Why do you save him from punishment everytime? You yourself get ready for punishment to save him. Why? Let him be punished when needed. Or else I'm afraid these habits are never gonna leave him. Now go, take him to his room and put him to sleep.
Ragini feels nervous but she agrees. She takes Lakshya to his room and puts him on the bed. She covers him with a blanket and is about to go when Lakshya holds her wrist and stops her.Ragini looks at him shocked.
Lakshya (in sleep)- Don't go! Please don't leave me again, mom. I miss you. I'm really lonely here without you, mom. I want you to kiss my forehead and assure me that everything's gonna be okay. I'm not what people think I am, mom. I don't want people to know how lonely and fragile I am. I laugh a lot but deep down, I'm broken. I try my best to hide my pain behind my smile. I miss you a lot, mom. I need you. Please don't leave me again.
Ragini feels bad for him. She starts crying. She wants to go away but seeing Lakshya in so much pain, she couldn't. She kisses his forehead and kneels down on the floor putting her head on Lakshya's bed, near his hand. They both sleep like that. Next morning, Lakshya wakes up first. He is shocked to see Ragini sleeping in his room and even more shocked with the fact that he is holding her wrist. But suddenly, his eyes fall on her face. She is too beautiful to resist. Her face reminds him of Guddi. He recalls how Guddi used to stare at him with so much innocence in her eyes. Her eyes, her voice, her hair everything was just so perfect. She too was a salwar kameez girl but something in her was special. A smile comes to Lakshya's face thinking about Guddi. After a few seconds, he comes back to reality. he immediately leaves Ragini's hand and wakes her up.
Lakshya- Ragini, what the hell are you doing in my room? Why were you sleeping here?
Ragini- I'm sorry, sir. I don't know when I fell asleep. I'll leave right now. Sorry again, sir.
Lakshya- Wait! Now since you've already spent the night here, you might as well go to office with us itself.
Ragini- But sir, I didn't bring extra clothes.
Lakshya- Don't worry about that. I've a pair of ladies jeans and some ladies top in my bag.
Ragini- Ladies cothes? Sir, you wear those clothes?
Lakshya (sarcastically)- Hahaha, very funny! Those belong to my ex girlfriend, Angelina. She forgot to take them back with her before going.
Ragini- You made a girlfriend in Inida?
Lakshya- No, stupid! The day I came back to India, she surprised me with an awesome "encounter" (if you know what I mean) before I headed towards the airport. By mistake she put those clothes in my bag and forgot to take them out later. You can wear them.
Ragini- I'm sorry, sir. I've never worn such clothes.
Lakshya- Now that's upto you. If you wanna go back home, get ready and then come to office from there, you re free but you must not be late. It's already 8:30. Decide what you're gonna do.
Ragini thinks for a moment and then agrees.
Ragini- Okay, sir. I'll wear those clothes. But firstly, let me clean your room. It's all messy.
Lakshya- Cool.
Lakshya goes to take a shower and Ragini starts cleaning the room. She looks around the room once. Lakshya's socks are spread in the corners of the room, his watch is kept on the corner of the bed, his gaming instruments are on the floor, his clothes are spread everywhere, his shoes are on the table, his magazines are placed on the sofa. His room looks like a battle ground. She starts cleaning everything one by one. After a few minutes, Lakshya comes out in a towel. He doesn't find anything.
Lakshya- Ragini, where are my clothes?
Seeing him, Ragini turns around. Lakshya gets frustrated.
Lakshya- Oh stop it! Now look at me.
Ragini hesitantly turns around and looks at him.
Lakshya- Bring my clothes.
Ragini opens his cupboard and starts selecting clothes for him.
Ragini- Sir, what would you wear today?
Lakshya- Bring whatever you like, just bring something!
Ragini chooses a white tee shirt, grey blazer and black jeans. She hands them over to Lakshya.
Lakshya- Thank you. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to change. Meanwhile, you can just go take a shower. Open that bag (points towards his bag), you'll find clothes there.
Ragini- Sir, are you letting me open your bag?
Lakshya- Are you expecting me to take them out for you?
Ragini- No, sir.
Lakshya- Then do as you're said.
Ragini- Okay, sir.
Ragini opens Lakshya's bag. She takes out the ladies clothes and goes to the bathroom. After a few minutes, she comes out wearing jeans and top. Lakshya was stunned to see her. She looked beautiful but she was uncomfortable. Lakshya could sense that. Ragini opens the cupboard and takes out a towel to wipe her wet hair. Lakshya keeps looking at her secretly, in the mirror. He searches for his watch but doesn't find it anywhere.
Lakshya- Ragini, where's my watch?
Ragini takes out the watch from the drawer and places it on Lakshya's palm.
Ragini- Here!
Lakshya- And handkerchief?
Ragini brings his handkerchief.
Ragini- Here!
Lakshya- And sunglasses?
Ragini puts the sunglasses in his hands.
Ragini- Here, your sunglasses! Those are your shoes and socks (pointing towards a shelf). I've set everything right. Anything else, sir?
Lakshya looks all around his room. It looks clean.
Lakshya- Ragini, what have you done to my room? I don't find anything. You're helping me cause you're here today but whall will happen in the future? You won't be here with me everyday. Who will get me my things?
Ragini laughs.
Ragini- I may not be here everyday but your wife will, right? Your wife will manage your things, sir.
Lakshya- Wife? Come on, I'm just 24. I'm too young for that shit. How old are you, by the way?
Ragini- 22.
Hearing this, Lakshya laughs because ragini reminds him of Guddi. Ragini sees this.
Ragini- Why are you laughing, sir? Do I look funny in jeans?
Lakshya- I used to know someone of your age, years back. She must have grown up now. She must be 22. I wonder how she looks. She must be the same, even now. Salwar kameez, straight hair! You know, she used to keep staring at me like crazy when we both were kids. I used to wonder what's gone wrong with her and now finally, I've come to know what was wrong with her back then. She was in love with me! God, she was one cute girl. I wonder how she looks now, where she is now and how she is now!

Ragini starts smiling. Lakshya sees this.
Lakshya- What?
Ragini- Nothing. Lets' go.
They leave the room and go downstairs. We can see that PRM is still waiting outside Lakshya's room which means he heard RagLak conversation. He smiles to himself.
