Karwa chauth day
Sargi time
Swara sat on the dining table waiting for sujata to give her sargi for her very first karwa chauth, how she wished that ragini was there with her too waiting for Annapurna maa to give her sargi and both of them have conducted the fast together. It was their first karwa chauth, she has seen maa fasting every year, and she never asks the reason from her. And ragini has belief on all these rituals as well. If she would have been here today she would have been very happy. Swara got teary eyed and as she looked up she imagined ragini sitting on the chair next to her smiling to her.
Here ragini stood in front of the mandir in this kapoor villa with a thaal of sargi in her hand. Yes she missed getting it from her maa Annapurna but destiny has different plans. Ragini looked down thinking about swara how she would have been asked ragini to guide her about it and this time ragini would have asked guidance herself because this was her first karwa chauth. Ragini never thought she would ever get a chance to fast for laksh ever but today she was, ragini closed her eyes as fresh tears skipped through her eyes.
Sujata came with a thaal of sargi and swara wiped her eyes standing up, but instead of giving the thaal to swara, sujata sat on the sofa and started eating her sargi. Swara looked at sujata, swara was hurt
Sujata: chorii tu maray betay ki pasand hai mari nahin toh yeh sab umeedein maray sai na rakh, main koi Bengali larki ko sargi na doon gi
This pinched swara and she was about to go when Annapurna called her
Annapurna : swara beta rukoo. Sargi khaye begair hi vrat rakhon gi
Swara looked at Annapurna, she was on the verge to cry when Annapurna came and handed her the thaal and then wiped swara's tears
Annapurna : nahin beta rotay nahin hai aur tum toh bohat mazboot ho na. sanskaar mera bara beta hai usi lehaz sai tum meri bari bahu ho. Ragini ki behan ho, iss sargi pai hamesha pehla haq tumhara hoga. Aoo betho
Swara sat and was about to eat when laksh came and sat on the dining, swara was shocked
Swara : laksh tum iss wakt yahan? Abhi toh sargi ka wakt hai
Laksh looked at swara and smiled : ragini toh yahan hai nahin toh kia howa mai toh hoon, mai vrat rakhon ya ragini baat toh aek hi hai. Aur uski lambi umar sai zada kuch aur important hai kia?
Sujata looked at them and made a comment: yeh chora chorii toh pagal hain, maray vai keliye lambi umar mang rahay hain
Annapurna smiled and put her hand on his head: betho mai tumharay liye ragini ki sargi laikay ati hoon
Swara was still looking at laksh: itna pyar kartay ho meri behan sai?
Her tone was teary, laksh nodded and swara just couldn't control and cried as her tear was about to fall on table sanskaar put his palm under it, swara looked at him as he sat next to her putting his hand on her hand consoling her, as swara saw sanskaar she hugged him
Sanskaar: swara bas karo ab tum aur nahin ro gi . tumhaar ansoo bohat keemti hain unhay yun mat bahao
Swara looked at him. sanskaar took a fruit and made her eat it
Sanskaar: tumhara bharosa bohat strong hai swara uski jeet hogi.
Acha ab mujhy bhi toh khilao kia vrat sirf tum hi rakho gi? Mai bhi rakhon ga
He announced, swara looked at him lovingly and made a spoon full of dahi making him eat it
Sanskaar smiled planting a kiss on swara's forehead and making his mind that today before the vrat gets over he would bring his brother and swara's life and happiness back to this house.
Laksh saw them and smiled, both of them were making each other eat the sargi. He wished ragini was here, laksh made a fist of both his hands which were on the table and closed his eyes as he felt a soothing affect on his fist, he opened his eyes to see a hand covering his hand, laksh looked towards his side and saw ragini sitting beside him. she was in a red Marwari saree, looking divine a small smile came on his face while his eyes were still filled with tears.
"teri har jhalak mai dikhay wo Rab
Teray naam ko hi dua kahein"
Ragini smiled back to laksh as she picked the spoon and brought it near his face, laksh opened his mouth and had the fruits. Ragini got up bent a little placing her palm on his cheek and he closed his eyes and tears made their way from his eyes. She wiped them

She joined her forehead with his and closed her eyes too. Laksh just knew that he wish to love in this feeling forever and don't want to be anywhere else.

Laksh opened his eyes and saw that there was no one , he looked towards the stairs and swara and sanskaar was going towards there room. Laksh looked around and there was no one. His life was hopeless without her. He banged his hand on the table and felt her magalsutra placed on the table

Chahay koi isay saza kahay"
He held her managalsutra and brought it near his lips kissing it
"jo phonch gaya teri rooh tak
Isay khud sai kaisay judaa karein"
MORNING
KAPOOR VILLA
Ragini came out wearing a red and golden saree, she was in her old Marwari look, because today was karwa chauth and she could not lie with her identity she was not rachna but ragini, laksh's wife. She was ragini laksh maheshwari. She took the pooja thaal and went in front of the idols she was about to put the fruits beside the idol when someone flipped the thaal up and all of it fell, the sindoor fell on her head.
Laksh looked around as the windows of his balcony started to clasp loudly. Suddenly the weather changed and the winds blew so hard that the curtains started to sway and hit the stuff on dressing table. As the curtain hit the sindoor box and it was about to fall down laksh ran towards it and saved it on time. He got up turning around and looking at ragini's photo frame. It felt to him as if the ragini wanted to say something. His heart was racing.
Swara suddenly hugged sanskaar listening to the thunderstorm as tightly as she could, sanskaar held her protectively
Swara: sanskaar mujhe bohat darr lag raha hai
Sanskaar cupped swara's face: darnay ki kia baat hai main hoon na swara
She nodded but the fear was visible in her eyes. The feeling was horrible as if someone was torturing her soul.
Ragini through her blur vision looked at ansh who was standing in front of her she was about to say something when ansh slapped her as hardly as he could. Ragini fell on floor and the corner of her lip started to bleed. She touched and saw the blood on her finger tips. She was breathing heavily and few tears fell on floor. Ansh took a fist of her hairs and make her face him while ragini hissed in pain
Ansh: I told you before, kaha tha maine kai mai koi zabardasti nahi chahta
He dragged ragini towards the room while she tried to free herself. She was in pain and ansh was being harsh on her by pulling her hairs. Ansh pushed her on and she fell on the chair. She was frightened to her core and wanted to shout for laksh swara and sanskaar
Ansh came closer to her face and ragini closed her eyes: bohat chalaki sai tumnay apni behan ki help ki takay wo tumharay pyaray sanskaar jiju ko bacha sakay. Tumhay laga mai andha ho? Bewakof hoon jo kuch samjh nahi sakta?
Ragini stood up and tried to run when he held her arm
Ansh: then you saved your mother in law? Wow kia pyar hai? Haan
He tightened his hold on her arm and ragini cried more. She tried pushing him away when her grabbed her jaw
Ansh: bohat saal pehlay durga parsad maheshwari kai aek faislay ki waja sai meray baap nai meri maa ko goli mardi thi aur khud suicide karli thi, jab tab khoon baha that oh ab ku ni?
Ragini was shocked
Ansh: janti ho gavahi kisnay dii thi? Tumharay dada ji nai... tab khoon baha that oh ab bhi toh bahay ga ..
He pushed her and she fell on floor. Ragini moved back and hit the wall in fear. Ansh came towards her grabbing her neck and she tried to breathe
Ansh: agar mai laksh ko goli mardon toh
This shocked ragini and she tried to say no from her head but was unable to
Ansh pointed towards ragini's forehead: yahan goli maron ga
He left her neck and she coughed as blood came from her mouth, she was ready to die but she was not ready to see anything happen to anyone.
Ansh: ya phir swara ko maar daita hoon phir sanskaar khudi pagal hojaye ga
Ragini looked at him struggling to breathe and was coughing at the same time. She fell on his feet holding them begging him not to do anything.
Ansh: what if I kill both of them together.. tumhara laksh aur tumhari pyari behen swara. Aur uskay baad tumhay bhi marna hoga
Hel grabbed her from her hairs and said near her ears: aj maheshwari aur gadodia khandaan ki neev hilay gi neev
Ragini looked at him as he pushed her towards the mirror. Ragini hit the wall mirror as it broke. Her vision got blurry as the blood oozed near her forehead. Ragini lipped laksh name and fell on floor . she tried to say swara and closed her eyes. Her blood was all over on the floor and the screen divided into three parts on one side swara was hugging sanskaar and crying, on the other side laksh was holding ragini's sindoor box and looking at her photo and in between ragini laid full of blood on floor with eyes closed..

Outside the mansion full maheshwari family and gadodia family went inside the party venue. Laksh was beside swara and sanskaar. Sanskaar stopped mid way and laksh and swara looked at him
Swara : chalo ruk ku gaye sanskaar?
Sanskaar: swara mujhay aek kaam yad aya hai mai bas kuch hi dair mai karkay ata hoon tum andar jao
Swara was confused: kaisa kaam ? aur achanak?
Sanskaar held her hand and planted a kiss on the back of her hand
Sanskaar: aj meri wife ka pehla karwa chauth hai uska gift toh banta hai boss. Aur bhai nai bhi pehla karwa chauth rakha hai toh uska gift bhi banta hai
Sanksaar smiled looking at laksh who was serious
Swara : tum meray sath ho yahi mera gift hai aur kisi ki zarorat ni
Sanskaar: haan par yeh gift tumhaary liye bohat zarori hai.. just go I will come in a jiffy
Swara nodded giving a half smile to sanskaar.
Swara and laksh went inside and sanskaar took out his phone calling someone : great! Mai bas araha hoon. Sab tyar rakhna.
IN PARTY
Ansh saw the both Maheshwari and gadodia family and thought evily: aj ki shaam aplogo ko apni puri zindagi yad rahay gi kal ki subah kitnay logo ko maray gi ye hap log soch bhi nahi saktay.
Laksh was looking around for ragini. Not as ragini but at least she was here somewhere and he could see her. He came to this party only for seeing her. She was the reason of his life. laksh searched the hall and there was no trait of ragini.
Laksh thought: in hawaon mai . inn fizaon mai tumhari khusbhu hai ragini par tum kahan ho? Bas aek baar meray samnay ajao
Swara was beside him and was seeing him: laksh wo aye gi don't worry wo tumsay bohat pyar karti hai. Aur aj karwa chauth hai wo definitely aye gi
Laksh smiled
Swara saw ansh standing alone drinking vine and the sherni in her was alive she went towards him
Ansh : oh mrs swara sanskaar maheshwari ap? Kuch leejay na
Swara faked a smile: kuch lainay kit oh apko zarorat paray gi mr ansh kapoor.
Ansh eyes her: apnay husband kit ran ap bhi bohat batein karti hain
Swara: mai aur meray husband sirf boltay nahin hain mr ansh kapoor.
She looked around: meray hath sirf meri behen nai bandhay howay hain warna jo harkat apnay meray husband ki car mai bomb laga kai ki hai na uskay anjam mai main apka kia karti yeh apki soch hai. Par zada dair nahin. Aek baar meri behen sahi salamat meray paas ajaye apnay ghar ajaye.. uskay baad apka samna bohat logon sai hoga.
With that she moved towards her family.
Ansh smirked: time will tell mrs maheshwari
Sharmishta looked around trying to find ragini: yeh ragu nazar nahin aria .
The mothers heart was feeling uneasy, shekhar came to her: mishti tum theek ho na agar tabiat theek nahi hai toh ghar chaltay hain
Sharmishta: shekhar bas aek baar ragu ko dekh loon phir thora acha feel karon gi
Shekhar closed his eyes. He did not wanted to argue today when she was fasting .
When laksh saw ragini was not there his heart sank and swara came towards him
Swara: laksh ragini kahin dikh nahi rahi , mujhay bilkul acha feel ni horaha
Laksh: swara pata nahin ku mera dil bohat ghabra raha hai
Swara: laksh kahin iss ansh nai usko kuch
She shook her head in fear, laksh was terrified thinking about the fact that he will yet again loose ragini
Laksh: aj kai din ragini ko yahan ana hi hoga swara. Maa kehti hain pyar mai bari takat hoti hai.
Swara nodded with a fear ridden face
Ansh on phone: as soon as they come under the chandelier, cut the rope
Laksh and swara went on stage, laksh stood in front of the mike and swara wore the guitar around her neck.
Laksh started to sing: yeh moh moh ke dhagay
Teri ungliyon sai ja uljhay
Durga parsad and Annapurna looked at laksh and swara
Durga parsad: yeh dono kia kar rahay hain?
Swara started to play the guitar, the same all jugalbandi tone which she and ragini use to play on guitar and sitar respectively. Swara reminisced her and ragini's time from the start. Every single moment came to her mind
Ragini was lying unconscious on the floor felt a ting in her head as the voice and the tone reached her brain. Still with closed eyes she lipped swara's name
Laksh: kai aisa be-parwa maan
Pehlay toh na tha
As laksh's voice reached ragini's head she tried to open her eyes.
Laksh: chittiyon ko jaise mill gaya
Jaise ik naya sa pata
Swara toned up the level of the guitar. And ragini tried to get up with a lot of difficulty, she brought her hand up and tried to hold the door knob but failed, she tried it again and as she get hold of the knob she stood up coughing again, more blood came from her mouth. She had no power. But she could not loose it now. She has to save the two people she loved with all her life laksh and swara. They both were the reason of her existence
Laksh: khaliii rahein, hum ankh moondein jaein
Phonchein kahin toh bewaja
Swara's got a scratch on her finger and stopped playing the guitar and hissed saying : ragini
Ragini walked out towards the hall, her vision was blurred as she saw so many people. Her eyes landed on her maa and papa both were standing together. She smiled as they were safe. She then saw her dadi and nani maa. She moved a little forward stopping when she saw her Maheshwari family. She looked around and saw swara and laksh on the stage. She cried seeing them alright. She was about to move towards them when her eyes landed on the chandelier which was about to fall. She looked down at swara and laksh. Ragini shook her head as it can't be possible. She ran towards them as her saree's sleeve got stuck in the hook. She tried to free it but it didn't she with her all power moved as the hook scratched her skin rashly. She with all her strength shouted
Ragini: swaraaa, lakshhh
As she ran towards them, both swara and laksh heard her voice. Everyone looked towards her in shock . before laksh and swara can react ragini ran and pushed both of them forward and fell sideways as the chandelier came crashing down and the tubes blasted . everyone covered their faces. Ragini was shocked. She looked back towards the chandelier, she could not see anything, her heart raced as she could not see swara and laksh. Ragini stood up shocked was she late saving them? She forgot to breathe. Ragini's mouth was opened in shock and her eyes were full of tears.
Ragini: meri behen
She cried as maheshwari's looked at her shocked, shekhar looked at ragini calling her name: ragini
Sharmishta was stunned
Ragini: laksh
More tears came out of her eyes. Suddenly swara stood up from the other side as her eyes were focused on ragini. She was too stunned to react, ragini saw her and let out a cry. Swara had got a scratch on her forehead. Swara saw ragini's state, she was full of wounds. Laksh stood up next to swara looking at ragini. Ragini saw laksh and then saw swara.. both of them looked at eachother and then at ragini. Laksh had a smile on his face while his eyes were teary.
Ragini ran towards swara and hugged her: swara tum theek ho? Tumhay kuch nahin howa?
She looked at her and touched her scratch she was scared: swara tumhay kuch ni howa tum bilkul theek ho hum kitna darr gaye thay? Kitna darr gaye thay hum.. humari behen ko kuch hojata toh hum kaisay jeetay.
She cupped her face. Laksh was just still, her voice was reaching to his ears and his eyes was focused on her face. She was his ragini.
Swara cried as ragini cupped her face she was her sister
"suron sai rachi hai swara
Ragon sai rachi hai ragini"
Swara hugged her again: raginiii
Sharmishta cried looking at both her daughters. As swaragini hugged she felt the immense happiness that she could not describe. She and shekhar moved towards their daughters. Dadi, nani every one was smiling. Durga parsad and Annapurna were happy too, with adarsh and parineeta.
Swara and ragini were hugging eachother and crying when ansh grabbed ragini's arm and pulled her back ragini hissed in pain: ahhh
Ansh: band karo apna natak rachna yeh kia mazak hai.
Ragini was shocked, ansh was about to hold ragini's hand when sanskaar held ansh's wrist tightly making him flinch, he came in between ragini and ansh
Sanskaar: aur maine bhi kaha tha jab mai apni sharafat bhool gaya toh yahan kia hoga yeh mai khud bhi nahin janta.
With that sanskaar punched ansh as hard as he can and he fell backwards
Sanskaar pointed his finger at him: khabardaar agar dobara RAGINI LAKSH MAHESHWARI ko hath laganay ki koshish bhi ki toh.
Swara looked at sanskaar so did ragini, laksh was just looking at ragini and digesting the fact that she was his ragini
Ansh stood up: kia sabot hai kai yeh ragini hai? Meray paas sabot hai kai yeh rachna hai
Sanskaar took a remote out of his pocket and played a video on the big screen. Laksh looked at the video.

Laksh moved towards forward as he saw ansh torturing ragini, he made a fist of his hand while every body was shocked, durga parsad remembered the past incident . Annapurna covered her mouth in shock. Sharmishta held shekhar's arm in fear to see her daughter being treated that way. Swara moved back as she remembered that how happily they had lived their life and her sister was in pain all along and she could not help her.
As the full video completed and lights were back on. Laksh whose eyes had rage for how badly he treated ragini, his ragini, his best friend, his love, his reason to live. He looked back at ragini's face as he saw the lip cut, the wound on her forehead, all the blood, her foot which was bleeding. Laksh looked back at ansh and held his collar
Laksh: tunay meri ragini pai hath uthanay ki himat ki?
He pushed ansh back as he hit the wall and punched him hard. Laksh was out of control the full video was going on in his head. The pain ragini has to suffer, laksh lost his sense and was beating ansh non stop. Every one became silent. Ragini saw the anger by which he was beating ansh and she moved towards laksh trying to stop but sanskaar held her wrist, his face was serious
Laksh: mai tujhay maar daalon ga, ill kill you. How dare you touch her, you basrtard!
Ragini: laksh please ap usko chordeejay, laksh please .. lakshhh
She was trying to stop him: sanskaar ap rokiye unhein. Swara tum kuch kehti ku nahin ho?
Swara was just silent
Ragini freed her wrist and moved towards laksh: laksh apko humari kasam
Laksh was about to punch him again but stopped midway as he heard ragini giving him her kasam. He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth pushing ansh side ways. He turned around facing ragini. And his eyes were red. Ragini cried looking at him but before anything else she hugged him. laksh engulfed her in his arms feeling her heart beats. Feeling her close to him. ragini cried in his arms.
