CHAPTER 18

Laksh brought his hands up and placed them on her back as ragini placed her head on his shoulders front. She wanted to hide her face deep in his neck. Three months, 17 days, 8 hours and 32 seconds she has been away from him. but not even a single moment went without his thoughts. Laksh held her delicately as if she is some fur who would break if he would held her tightly, he closed his eyes tightly feeling her closer to him, his heart and tears skipped through his eyes.

Swara was looking at laksh and ragini with so much love in her eyes, yes she know that both of them have suffered, been tortured lost themselves in order to get happiness not from now but from the beginning. Something or other would have happened and her sister, her soul the one who makes a worth of her name by adding to it and she never get her happiness. Swara smiled as more tears skipped through her eyes.

Laksh came out of the hug still his arms holding her, he would not leave ragini ever. He knows she is his everything. Ragini looked at laksh as he touched the spot on her forehead where it was bleeding his kissed he wound.

"yeh laal ishq

Yeh malaal ishq

Yeh aib ishq

Yeh bair ishq"

Laksh brought his hand up which had got a cut when he was beating ansh, ragini saw his hand was bleeding and suddenly she was panicked to see his hurt. Laksh smiled as ragini was the face of selfless nature who never thinks about herself. Laksh with his blood filled her mang . ragini's face was heat up with all the crying she closed her eyes when she saw laksh filling her maang. This is where she belong

Laksh with his fingers wiped her tears

"tujh sang bair lagaya aisa

Raha na mai phir apnay jaisa"

Durga parsad and Annapurna was very happy for laksh, Annapurna thanked God seeing laksh and ragini together. Shekhar felt alive again seeing his ragini alive, sharmishta was too happy to even respond. Sanskaar finally sighed in relief, his lucky finally got his life back, he has seen his dying every damn moment and living his every second in ragini's thought. Sanskaar looked at swara who moved towards ansh and slapped him hard

Ragini looked at swara and held laksh's arm looking at ansh she was scared, laksh seeing ragini's scared face looked ready to kill ansh.

Swara : tumhari itni himat tumnay meri behan kai sath eh sab kia? Uspay hath uthaya?

Swara grabbed ansh's collar and she was truly angry and disgusted by ansh, ansh held swara's neck squeezing it when sanskaar grabbed his hand and pushed him hard coming and shielding swara, swara coughed

Sanskaar pointed his finger at ansh: don't you dare touch her

Ansh stood up moving towards ragini when raginiran and hugged sharmishta

Ragini: humay bacha leeejay maa, yeh bohat buray hain. Inho nai humaaray sath bohat bura kia

Sharmishta tried to calm ragini while looking disgustingly at ansh

Durga parsad called the inspector

Shekhar placed his hand on ragini's head

Ragini: papa apko pata hai inho nai dada ji ko kidnap karlia aur humay dhamkaya kai agar humnay inki baat na suni toh yeh unko maar dain gai . aur ..(she coughed) aur inho nai adarsh bhaiya aur parineeta bhabhi ki car mai bomb fix karwaya

She sobbed hiding her face while hugging her maa.

Dadi maa looked shocked

Laksh grabbed ansh's collar: you bloody sick man , tunay humsay badla lainay keliye meri ragini ko torture kia? Usay daraya dhamakaya?

Ansh freed himself and shouted : haan kia.. kia maine yeh sab ku kai main tum sabko barbaad karna chahta tha . aur yeh larki

He pointed at ragini

Ansh: isnay shuruh sai mera plan kharab kia. Jab maine shekhar gadodia ko maarnay ka plan banaya tab yeh beech mai agai aur apnay maa kais indoor ko bacha lia.

Swara placed her hand on her mouth covering it in shock, she looked at ragini who was standing between her maa and baba.

Ansh: haan wo accident maine hi karwaya tha. Tum sab ko laga kai ragini mar gai hai aur isi baat ka faida maine uthaya. Aur sabsay acha tab howa jab doctor nai mujhy btaya kai accident mai isnay apni awaz khoo dii.

Sanskaar slapped ansh hard: are man enough, I don't think so warna tu aek massom si larki ka yu istamal na karta.

Ansh pushed sanskaar and sanskaar faltered a little

Everyone was shock

Ansh: mai durga parsad maheshwari kai saray khandaan ko barbaad karna chata tha. Magar ragini har baar beech mai ati rahi . maine tumhari gari mai bomb lagwaya magar isnay apni behan ko bta dia, maine Annapurna maheshwari ko marwana chaha toh yeh phir beech mai agai aur aj toh isnay apnay laksh aur apni behan ko bhi bacha lia.

Laksh looked at ragini with all the love he has for her, she did so much for all of them. Laksh was super pissed at ansh . laksh punched him in the stomach

Laksh: does it hurt? Does it? That is just for looking at her now lets deal with the part where you touched her and tortured her. How dare you? You raised your filthy hand on her? On my wife? Wo patni hai meriii. She is my wife damn it

Ansh punched laksh back but laksh was out of his senses he was not feeling anything at that point.

Laksh was punching ansh again and again when he realized that someone was stopping him by shaking his arm only then he stopped

Sanskaar: laksh stop it, choro usay .. stop it lucky please . let the police handle him.. bas karo

Laksh moved back . the inspector entered and dada ji was with him

Sanskaar: when I realized yesterday that she was our ragini so maine iss puray ghar mai camera lagwaya . iski batein suni and then dada ji ka pata chala .

Inspector came and arrested ansh while he looked at both swara and ragini. Sanskaar came in front of swara

Ansh: I will return

The inspector took him away. Dadi hugged dada ji and looked at ragini . she went to her but before she could say anything. Swara ran to ragini and hugged her again

Swara: ragini please mujhsy kabhi dur na jana please

Ragini: swara tum toh humari behan ho humay jeena tumnay seekhaya hai hum apni zindagi sai kabhi dur nahi ja saktay kabhi bhi nahi

Annapurna came towards them and blessed ragini : beta jo tumnay hum sab keliye kia hai hum kaisay uska shukriya ada karein

Ragini hugged her and cried: ap humari maa hain.. ap aisa mat kahiye.

Dp also smiled and felt proud of her. Laksh was looking at ragini and absorbing every moment of her.

Durga parsad: ab humay ghar chalna chai

Shekhar and all nodded when dadi barged in : humay maaf kardeejay durga parsad jee par maari laddo apkay sath uss ghar na jaye gi

This shocked everyone , swara looked at dadi when she pulled ragini back which made her leave ragini's hand. Swara looked at sanskaar who held her by her shoulders calming her

Laksh was in shock not again, he won't stay away from his ragini now not even a moment.

Durga parsad: par ku?

Annapurna: ab oh sab theek hogya hai na phi rap yuk u keh rai hain?

Dadi: maaf kee jaga Annapurna ji par main nahi manti kai maari laado uss ghar mai khush reh sakay gi. Aur uss laksh kai sath toh kabhi naa. Kash shurwath mai hi hum swara ki baat sun laitay kai laksh maari ragini keliye theek na hai toh aj yahan tak baat phonchti hi na

Swara: par dadi wo bohat pehlay ki baat thi. Ab ki sachai yeh hai kai laksh ragini sai bohat pyar karta hai aur ragini bhi laksh sai behad pyar karti hai. Aur wo dono khushian deserve kartay hain

Dadi was adamant: chup kar swara, maa toh tharay uss ghar mai janay kai haq mai bhi na hoon

Sanskaar held swara's hand tightly. Swara looked at him

Dadi: chal ragini

She was about to drag ragini when dadi felt a tug on her pallu when she looked back she was shocked to see laksh on knees with his hands joined as if he was asking for forgiveness. Ragini cried looking at laksh

Laksh: dadi maa, ap bari hain ap nay mujshy ragini sai sabsay zada dunia dekhi hai, ap keliye yeh parakhna bilkul bari baat nahi hai kai kaun sach bol raha hai aur kaun jhoot . bas aek baar meri ankhon mai dekhiye aur bataiye kai kiya apko meri ankhon mai apki ragini keliye pyar nahi dikhta

Laksh looked p and his eyes were full of tears, dadi was still not ready and was about to go when laksh stood up and held her hand pleading

Laksh: please dadi maa, please aisa mat kariye. Mujsy meri ragini ko mat cheeniye, please ap jo kahein gi jaisa kahein gi mai karnay ko tyar hoon. Dadi wo meri zindagi hai mai uskay begair nahi jee paon ga

Dadi threw laksh's hand and ragini looked at dadi while she cried

Dadi looked at her: tu iss choray keliye ro rai hai? Iss kai liye?

Laksh looked at ragini: dadi main vada karta hoon kai ragini ki ankhon mai kabhi ansoo nahi anay doon ga. Manta hoon shuruh mai meri approach galat thi mai kismat kai isharon ko samjh nahi paya maine ragini ka aek nahi bohat baar dil tora hai, bharosa tora hai phir bhi apki ragini nai mujhy uff tak ni ki. Please bas aek mauka deejay sirf aek mauka dadi.. mujsy meri ragini ko dur mat kariye.. mai nahi jee paon ga.

He cried , dadi closed her eyes and left ragini's hand, she made laksh stand

Dadi: maari laado bohat dukh sejh chuki hai ab uskay hisay ki khushian usko milni chaiye laksh, maaray faislay pai maaray ko sharminda mat karana

She placed her palm on his cheek while laksh looked at ragini.

Dadi held ragini's hand placed it on laksh's hand. Swara hugged sanskaar in happiness

"mera naam ishq

Tera naam ishq"

Laksh came closer to ragini, he took the mangalsutra from his pocket and ragini just went numb thinking that the moment have finally arrived. From the day she took it off and handed it to swara to this day when every thing was falling in place. She looked at swara who was standing with sanskaar and her hand in sanskaar's hand, she was happy, then she looked at her maa baba who were standing together while baba's arm was around maa. She remembered the day she married laksh and the moment her maa broke her relation . ragini felt her tears falling on floor when laksh moved closer to her and tied the mangalsutra around her neck, she suddenly moved back when laksh held her by her shoulders as he placed his hand under her hairs and took her hairs out of the mangalsutra , ragini felt warn with his touch and a little smile .

"apna naam badal doon

Ya tera naam chupaa loon"

Laksh moved back as everyone clapped , he saw her neck adorning the mangalsutra

Laksh: finally, jo jiska haq tha wo usko mil hi gaya

If laksh could ever describe what he felt right now but this feeling was heavenly

Ragini held her managalsutra in her hand

"bas aek hi mera kaam ishq

Mera naam ishq

Tera naam ishq"

She smiled fully, no pain mattered now

Sharmishta joined her hand in front of Annapurna: aj sai sahi maino mai meri betiyan apki hui Annapurna ji, par kia main aj ka din apni betiyon kai sath bita sakti hoon kal sai wo apkay ghar mai hi rahein gi

Sujata in her mind: sharmishta ji ap apni Bengali chorii ko toh apnay paas hi rakhiye aur iss ragini ko bhi maaray ko koi farak na parta. Balkay mai sanskaar kai sath sath laksh kai liye bhi aek achi si larki dhondh loon gi

Annapurna smiled: ku nahi sharmishta ji

Sharmishta smiled as both swara and ragini ran and hugged her: meray dono betay bhi asaktay hain

Both sanskaar and laksh smiled

AT BAADI

A doctor was called as ragini was injured more and swara was injured too while laksh had some scratches.

Swara: d rap sabsay pehlay meri behan ko check keejay

Ragini looked at swara : swara tumhay bhi toh chot aai hai? Aur laksh ko bhi

Swara : shut up ragini chup chaap laytee raho

Ragini was laid on the bed and one side was laksh and one side was swara, sanskaar stood beside swara and shekhar and sharmishta stood on the other side looking with dada dadi

The doctor examined ragini fully, when he was doing her band aid she hissed as it hurted and swara who couldn't see her sister in pain held sanskaar's hand and laksh held ragini's hand. Laksh eyes were teary even he couldn't see her in pain he looked the other way .

Dr: she is not fine. Laksh looked at ragini and then to doctor , swara looked teary eyed

Shekhar: dr sahib kia howa meri beti ko?

Sharmishta: batiye na kia howa meri ragu ko

Swara : boliye

Dr: realx itnay darnay ki baat nahi hai, she needs full rest because inkay mind pai bohat pressure raha hai. Plus inki awaz wapis toh agai hai but make sure yeh kuch din keliye zada bolein nahi aur chilaein toh bilkul nahi. Aur medicine regularly laini hai

Laksh: don't worry doctor mai hoon na

Dr: chaliye ab ap dressing kra leejay , mujhy I guess apko injection daina hoga

Swara stood up in shock: injection doctor? Injection ku? Yeh toh choti sic hot hai

Sanskaar was amused seeing swara scared, ragini hided her laugh

Swara : ragini tum hasna band karo

Dr: no mrs maheshwari apkay liye injection sahi hai

Swara shook her head

Sanskaar: swara injection kuch aur nahi tum toh aisay darr rahi ho jaisay koi bomb hai

Ragini laughed as sanskaar hi5ved with her, swara slapped sanskaar's arm

Swara : mujhay koi darr nahi lagta samjhay mai bas injection nahi lagwana chahti

Sharmishta went to her and held her arm: shonu tum bachapn sai injection sai bhagti ho, sankaar udhar say pakro isay

Swara struggled: maa please nahi na

Sanskaar held swara's arm with much difficulty as he was controlling his laughter the doctor injected swara and she shouted hugging sanskaar , sharmishta went to shekhar and ragini laughed out loud. Laksh looked at her as she burst out laughing after so many months. Shekhar and sharmishta had tears in their eyes and swara saw her sister laughing like anything. She moved towards her. Ragini laughed and then she realized she was laughing after so many days . she stopped and hugged swara

Dida came in the room and sat on the bed side: ragu apna hath lao idhar

Ragini forwarded her hand: yeh wo dhaga hai jo teri behan nai mujhy kisi aur ko bandhnay nahi dia

She tied the dhaga on her wrist and kissed her forehead.

Dida: shonu, shomi sab apna vrat nahi kholo gai chalo na

But swara was not ready to go

Ragini: jao swara vrat khol lo ab hum kahin nahi jaein gai.. vada

At terrace

Swara stood looking at the chaand and sanskaar stood in front of her

"chaand chupa badal main

Sharma kai meri janaaa"

Swara looked at the moon through the chaani and then looked at sanskaar's face blushing , then sanskaar took the chaani and looked at chaand and then looked at swara.

"seene sai lag ja tu

Balkha ke meri janaaa"

Sanskaar took the water and made her drink it, then swara took the water and made sanskaar drink it

Both smiled looking at eachother, sanskaar signaled swara to wait and went . swara was confused but sankaar returned with rasgulay, swara smiled fully with excitement . sanskaar made her eat rasgulay and then swara made him eat a piece of kaju katli as it was his favorite meethai

Swara then placed the thaal on the chair and touched sanskaar's feet

Swara: ab tum meray paon ni chuna..

Sanksaar smiled as he sat on his knees which shocked swara

Sanskaar hold both swara's hand and brought them closer to his eyes and touched them to his eyes

Sanskaar: tumnay mujhay jeena seekhaya hai swara, mujhay aek nayee zindagi dii hai, mai toh sab kuch barbaad karnay aya tha agar tum na sambhalti toh shaid mai bohat kuch barbaad karchuka hota

Swara was teary eyes as she also sat on her knees in front of him

"yeh kaali raat jakar loon

Yeh thanda chaand pakar loon"

Swara: aur jo tumnay meray liye kia hai wo? Sanskaar mai bohat khush naseeb hoon jo mujhay tumhara sath mila. Mai iss sath kai begair apni zindagi soch bhi ni sakti.

Sanskaar: phir itna larti ku ho mujsy?

Swara : ku kai wo mera haq hai, tumsay larna jhagarna aur

She looked down

Sanskaar teased her: aur kia swara ?

Swara: aur tumsay pyar karna

Sanskaar placed her hand on his hand: kia sunai daita hai swara?

Swara : tumharay dil ki dharkan

Sanskaar: jo kai tum ho

Swara hugged him still being in the same position

"tujh sand bair lagaya aisa

Raha na main phir apnay jaisa"

Swara: jo gift tumnay aj mujhy dia hai uska sach mai koi muqabla nahi

Sanskaar smiled and kissed swara

Ragini stood up and went near the window , while laksh followed her. Ragini tried to open the window but she couldn't as she was too weak, laksh stood beside her and opened the window. Ragini silently looked towards laksh and laksh looked at her face, he was lost in her innocent eyes . ragini was about to speak when laksh placed his finger on her lips

Laksh said in a whisper: tumhay bolna mana hai

"iss pal main hoon

Ya tum bhi ho

Ya dono hokay bhi na hain"

Laksh with his finger touched her face, her scent was intoxicating him, laksh moved closer to her face, ragini looked towards her side as laksh cupped her face and made her face him, her eyes were closed, ragini slightly opened her eyes to see his eyes looking at her intensely, his deep brown eyes which held loved for her. She brought her hand up and touched his face, laksh shut his eyes feeling her touch

"ku ho kia ho

Ho bi ya na ho

Ya kehna suna mana hai"

Laksh with his eyes closed smiled as she was so close to him , he moved back and broughta net dupatta , ragini looked at him admiringly. Laksh was her dream which was a reality now standing in front of her

Laksh held the duppata from both corners and looked at the chaand, as ragini was standing on the other side of the duppata she looked at the chaand too. Both were looking at the chaand and smiled as it was so beautiful . then laksh looked at ragini

"tu itni khubsurat hai

Fida deedar pai teray"

Laksh put the duppat on the bed and brought a glass of water making ragini drink it. Today words had no importance . they were together and that is what mattered

"tu hi toh ishq hai mera

Zara sa pyar toh dai day"

Laksh then made ragini eat the sweet. She was about to cry when laksh shoot his head. He held her hand and took her on the bed.

"faalak kadmon pai ajhukay

Haseen lamhat wo dai day"

Ragini sat on her side, laksh whose eyes were still on ragini moved to his side , he sat on the bed not moving his eyes from her face.

"teray sang bheeg jaon mai

Kabhi barsat wo dai daii"

Ragini laid on the bed and laksh laid down too. Both were looking at each other immensely. They were so indulged in each other and nothing matter to them. While laying on the bed laksh put his hand on hers and she looked at him

"tera bina jeena paray

Wo pal mujhay na dai"

Ragini came closer to him putting her head on his arm and laksh wrapped his arm around her keeping her close, yes she was close and was safe. Ragini placed her head beside his neck and his head was on her head both closed their eyes and slept.
