I didnt see her as muskaan but i'm assuming after muskaan was geet and that period was her optimum point where according to fans she did great but after that, she had a sinking graph. For me she was average before now she is below average. Seeing her in silsila doesn't look like she is some senior. She looks like a newbie, who smirk and was smiling secretly when Maunal was fighting

This is purely my pov but I feel that DD has reached her peak performance. her max level so she cannot do more better.

Every one has its own perspective.Creativity is subjective i found her great in Geet and MB that is my perception and majority of ppl who watched her in Geet and mb .For me it was good and for you it was not great that is ur pov .I don't think her all roles are same as i hv watched her all shows.Muskaan was comic role ,Geet was bubbly and later become mature .Geet has many shades she was bubbly,emotional and brave too who fought her whole family for sake of her child.She even fought maan for her self respect.Madhu was mature who stood her grounds against arrogant RK and even went to revenge rk but later gave up becoz cvs gave up to fan demands and got them married.In ETr2 she fought battle against evil grand dadi queen .Pardes was one show where i didn't like her acting becoz story and character was so bad.Her character was quiet different in all shows.And about crying which actress on itv fon't cry even so called maya use to cry after comitting crimes .You think her best is over for me her best is yet to come and itv roles are very plain female characters with all mahaanata and bhashan so for female actress to get challenging roles in the itv is near to impossible becoz itv females all about crying and sacrificing.Now coming to same acting and dialogue delievery srk will deliever dialogues and cry with his own style na .He can't deliever dialogue like nana patekar.I mean every actor has its own style and way they can't change expressions becoz they will smile ,laugh ,smirk and cry like they do in real life they can't change their smiles ,laughs or dialogue delievery but yeah different character give them challange but itv lacks in challenging characters as you urself agree on that.DD took role of nandini becoz obviously she wanted to play grey role where nandini is selfish and non guilty but writer spoiled nandini beyond repair what can actor can do.I find only two actresses good in these current tv actresses that dd and jenny both are average actresses with own limitations but they are much much better than other ott actresses like gopi bahu hence they are overhyped because currently they are best available on tv.Vaise when person become famous ppl hv habit of calling them overrated .Atleast DD is known by her original name by viewers unlike actresses who are just recognized by their characters only.Ppl know her as DD as geet madhu gaytri how many actresses achieve where ppl recognize your original name along with character names on itv.This is becoz mass was able to connect to her as well her acting. Your or this forum opinion is not universal many find her quiet good so you see its just way of seeing thing differently.I respect your opinion i will agree to disagree with you.

I think Drashti is an amazing actress! From Muskaan to Nandini, she has shown various shades in each charecter very beautifully! Be it funny or emotional and touches of grey too! N coming to Nandini, Drashti has done a brilliant job as a domestic violence victim! N the trembling due to panick attacks is actually on point! or the alter ego scenes! At this momemt the writers have kind of messed up Nandini's charecter! Drashti may not be the best actress on ITV, but she is defo one of the best! Because if she was not, she wouldn't have been getting shows as lead even after 10 years in the industry!

Have watched Geet and that is my fav show till now.Her char was bubby and they showed her journey from a timid,naive girl growing into a strong and mature woman.And I loved the char most coz it had self respect,the way she took a stand for herself and her baby.And Maaneet..are always a treat to watch😳

And as far as I remember it didn't have more rona dona compared to her other shows(sry if I am wrong).DD's acts like pouting,talking to babaji,opening her mouth in perfect O,nakras everything was very much apt to the character she was playing and loved her comedy scenes in Geet.Haven't watched her as Muskaan..so don't know about that char.

DD have played the char Geet with soo much perfection and as someone mentioned its not only about the actor,the entire team is responsible.Nizar was an amazing director and DD had an amazing chem with GC.

Even GHSP's camera man,once said that he got goosebumps while shooting a scene of DD(marriage wala scene).Her acting was amazing as Geet.

Reg MB,I haven't watched it coz I don't like the pairing😛

ETRETR...have watched a very few scenes,and I find her(char) sad or crying or longing for her hubby's love(from the scenes I have watched)

Pardes I didn't watch.So as of now Geet is the only show that I have watched fully😆Now I am not watching SBRK..not even a single epi.Only getting all news from articles,IF and YT!!

And as far as Nandhini,I think people are not able to connect with her char.Even dresses matter.For the char she is playing and the dresses given to her..no match.Even this simple thing can't the makers understand?And seems they have butchered the char "Nandhini".

And one thing I wanted to say,a character becoming hit or flop not just lies in the hands of an actor/actress.Its the entire team's work.And as for as DD's acting in this show is concerned,the director is satisfied by this and says OK..had he asked for more,or tried to bring out better from the actors..may be it would have been better and smthing different.

Don't know why DD choose this char.During GHSP days she and GC said that they changed a dialogue coz they found a line over dramatic.During those days they were not even ready to utter the dialogue that was dramatic..but today the whole script is a crap..can't they say anything?😒

They way Mauli's char is written is good.Wish the writer had explored both Kunal and Nandini's char more deeply..coz this is a sensitive topic.They have made the audience to hate even the sight of Kunal and Nandini together.

Have watched only Geet..so I was not able to compare chars played by DD in other shows.Totally loved her in Geet and I adore her for playing that role.

Aditi..I watch her in YT spoilers and I find her soo cute😊

Shakti..my fav char played by him is Onir in PR!His char was too good and selfless in that!

Abhinav...wish he plays a ML in sm show😃It would be treat to watch!

I have seen u almost in every thread that is against dd & assume that for some reason u do dislike her.

But i have problem when u try to bring geet in the conversations and try to demean such a classic show.

Rest whatever u said i don't care. Just so that u know anyone who watched geet they know u r lying and trying to defame geet because in previous dd threads whenever her acting was put in questions people have mentioned muskan and geet as dd's best ventures.

Now if this is a cheap attempt to claim and blackwash a good show like geet as same as madhubala then i am sorry its not working.

Just becoz a bunch of ppl here didn't watch dd's previous work doesn't mean u would lie.

Likings r subjective. N that's totally fine if u didn't like geet. But quit lebaling romance as manhandling.

If someone's taste is bad none can help. So i welcome everyone's perspective but when they try to lebal things and manipulate something then things have to be pointed out .

She doesnt look like to nail challenging scenes . For example in yesterday's episode , when kunal was accusing mauli for pinky promise, nandini was giving a secretive sheepish look rather than a painful sacrificial lamb look😕
The way nandini was behaving was like, she has planned all this scenario so she can get a clean chit that she is so mahan that even though mauli was drunk, nandini took drunk mauli sriously too 😕

not just yesterday's episode, throughout the serial, no where she has behaved as a victim abuse or a bechari 😕
she is shown being abused or traumatised but the very next scene she is just fully dressed up from head to toe😕 which abuse victim or traumatised person behaves like this 😕

ok, i agree the producers are resposible for her costumes but how about her acting😕 it all just looks like nakhray or self centered. Her acting is not according to the situation & then her dressup makes the situation of the scene worse
like for example, she is about to be set on fire but she comes up all decorative with layers of foundation, false eyelashes, highlighters... it was just so bizarre to watch !!

The way nandini is being played, its just confuse & only gives feeling of disgust!!

recently on IF, style icons article was published for the durga pooja. Drashti was one of them.

is this what drashti is ?! just costumes & setting an style icon😕

I don't think so the role of Nandini has anything substantial that any actress can actually prove their skills.

DD ho ya jo bhi mujhe nehi lagta agar role me kuch aisa khas hai ke kuch bhi diversity milegi humko.

But i have one question, this is a simple show not an acting competition right?

I haven't seen drasthti in other serials. But I think she is portraying Nandhini well. Nandini is a pathetic woman. She's weak. She seems to be the kind of woman who must have a man in her life. She doesn't care for her girlfriend or show gratitude for all that her friend has done for her. She is immoral. She doesn't care that a man is married or that she has destroyed his marriage. Nandini is a weak woman, a home wrecker who always needs a man. So she is the kind of woman who will always do things she feels will please a man...like wear sexy clothes and sarees, cook him delicious food, listen to his every word, creat romantic settings in the house .. She is not educated with a career...so there won't be intellectual conversations ..rather she will focus on a mans more carnal desires lol😆. Drasthti is playing this role fine because there isn't much to nandini. She just has to look nice, cook, smile sexily, listen to the man talk and cry so he feels sorry for her, have lip tremors and shiver, 😆. I think nandini is also limited in intelligence. Her thoughts are very simple. So she often has a dumb blank look ..sometimes with big tears in her eyes.
