Drashti just an style icon ? her acting is confusing !! (DT Note p7)

I m just a neutral viewer of this show who hasnt watched any previous shows of drashti, shakti or aditi.
I only came to know about this show whilst its promo were going on during bepannaah telecast.

anyways, coming to the point, nandini played by drashti , the emotions , body language, its all always the same. For crying she uses shaking mouth & trembling body. When happy, its all nakhray😕

I didn't want to comment just for the sake of forum rules, but I can't deny how true this is. There's more I want to say, but find it pointless knowing it's against forum rules, but I have nothing against DD as a person of course, because she's lovely, but as an actor, I have very strong issues with her considering her looks and styling in her shows create all the buzz around her, and I find fans overrate her performances. Geet is the only show where I liked her character and felt connected to her character. Every other character of hers was just a variation of geet or flat out boring.

I didn't feel what you felt while watching yesterday's episode .Her expressions were no where close to smirk .But then different ppl percieve different things .You hv not watched her previous show but i hv followed her previous work too.She is one actress who has really impressed me with emotional and romantic scenes .I hv yet to see the see the actress who can act so well in emotional and rimantic scenes.She can be ott in some comic scenes that is her one limitations.i call it trembling which she did when she was frightened by rajdeep or mohaalla aunties action. After that in emotional scenes she never trembled so i think that was director call for her to show trembling becoz he wanted to show the level of nandini's anxiety and fright in front of rajdeep.Nandini character is confusing it's director and screenplay fault they are showing adrupt scenes.So for me she is more than style icon it's just her character is not allowing her to make impact as chsracter itself is badly written.

It looks like the actress is more into just making an style icon & posing for designer sarees , jewellery n makeup 😕

She doesnt look like to nail,challenging scenes for example in yesterday's episode , when kunal was accusing mauli for pinky promise, nandini was giving a secretive sheepish look rather than a painful sacrifical lamb look😕
The way nandini was behaving was like, she has planned all this scenario so she can get a clean chit that she is so mahan that even though mauli was drunk, nandini took drunk mauli sriously too 😕

not just yesterday's episode, throughtout the serial, no where she has behaved as a victim abuse or a bechari 😕
she is shown being abused or traumatised but the very next scene she is just fully dressed up from head to toe😕 which abuse victim or traumatised person behaves like this 😕

ok, i agree the producers are resposible for her costumes but how about her acting😕 it all just looks like nakhray or self centered. Her acting is not according to the situation & then her dressup makes the situation of the scene worse

like for example, she is about to be set on fire but she comes up all decorative with layers of foundation, flase eyelashes, highlighters... it was just so bizarre to watch !!

Pooja in Bepannah played the role of mistress but even the actress who played pooja made pooja not pukeworthy. The actress is not popular but she played pooja in a way that she didnt get much hate even though she betrayed aditya who is being played by the much loved harshad chopda!!

But the way nandini is being played, its just confuse & only gives feeling of disgust!!


recently on IF, style icons article was publised for the durga pooja. Drashti was one of them.

no wasnt smirking but the looks she gave & the way she posed was like very very confusing. It wasnt at all for all of us friends watching , a sacrifiacl becharu look but cunning fox but nothing near a sacrific being made on her part 😕

Agree mostly 😛 After Geet 😳 that also too much 😆 I don't feel any interest to watch DD Shows 😳 She looks so Beautiful/Style 😛 But nothing much to offer in terms of Roles n Acting. 😎 ...

DD is an okay actress. I also believe that her fans overrate her. DD is a lovely person, nice personality and so on. But I'm not really a fan of her but I did like her Madhubala. I never knew about Aditi until this year. I've grown to respect her and love her even more due to her character. I just can't watch her crying scenes. I try to avoid it as its like too much. I just don't see the Omg Wow! in her scenes sometimes. But I guess they are new actresses coming up and some will be better than her and that's a fact.

Coming to Nandini, I think what confuses us is how the character is portrayed. She is intended to look like a good, caring person but just comes across as selfish, insensitive and cunning. Her deeds are proof she's selfish. She keeps saying she loves Mauli and wants Mauli's forgiveness but she's back and forth with the woman's husband. I agree her character is confusing and sometimes I just don't understand how could someone hurt their own best friend for a man. Uggh typical woman nonsense.

Once Nandini saw Kunal was hitting on her, the right thing do is what Mauli did to Rajdeep when he made an sexual advance. But the difference between the women is so clear-cut. Mauli sincerely loved Nandini. She genuinely looked out for her. Whereas the pious one didn't give a shit about Mauli, her love, her support, her care or her marriage. Yet people don't understand how we can't connect to Nandini. You just don't hurt your best friend over a man. You just don't.

My mum was just saying if Nandini went through so so much why the hell is she doing the same thing to another woman? She said Nandini is supposed to be an activist. She's supposed to pave a new life for herself. Not give your best friend who helped you the same emotional pain you experienced when you saw your husband cheating.


I just don't know what these writers are trying to show. This happens in real life but please, please be real. This is so immature. Some scenes are so illogical.

yes you are right, its the trembling mouth but i feel in this show its always the same look 😕

she must surely be a an awesome actress in her previous shows but for me as a viewer watching her for the first time, i dont see her nailing any challenging scene in this show.

It's your perception but mine is different. Drashti gets OTT in comic scenes but emotional scenes are her forte.Her break down scenes in previous show was breathtaking and for me she set the bar.Her performance in this show is not that good becoz her character has nothing to offer as nandini.

Drasti is good in advertisement of Sari, Salawar-kurta and jewelry.

she did give out of place expressions in yesterday's episode when kunal was blaming Mauli.Acting is at fault or they are simply not interested.
