In Poonam's case, the facts came to light only after she got eliminated. Point is, I don't think anyone has to sign a contract saying that they have to sell themselves for two years as Qwestda alleged. They have every right to guard their privacy, and they must openly protest if they feel their rights have been violated. If they don't protest, it means they have no problem.
yes. i also think the channels are in a catch-22. if they keep it all musical, they apparently dont get enough audiences. it's hard to get someone to spend their hard-earned money unless they feel some personal connection with the contestant. it's just not enuff to say there is a niche audience that likes clean shows. and that's what leads channels down this path. i also dont feel anyone wld be complaining if their contestant won. but i think it is too simplistic to say that while the competition is on, that the contestants are not too happy with all the extra votes they generate... Just when things dont pan out their way, they feel upset and lash out at everything.
