Seems like ID supports Himmesh all the time and JL and Adesh go against them. This show is becoming quiet interesting these days. I've watched the last episode in US and was surprised to see himesh and JL fight over contestants.
And what's with Himesh always complaining that his contestants are not well. last week he said vinnet ka awaz bhaitha hua hai and looks like in India's episode he said Aishwarya is not well.

The remaining yellow card holders competed on friday 26th. The judges were once again alka yagnik and jagjit singh.

Isamil darbaar's gharana was called first.
Vineeta- Ankiyon mein rehne do from bobby. Went besura in the beginning and stopped and started again. She was good but very nervous. (they showed in the clipping how id riduculed her saying that she did not choose the song he had given and she said she will sing whatever he says)

Paresh- Husn wale tera jawab nahin. He sang ok. Id told him during the practice that he shakes too much and should concentrate more on singing. He gave him this song and said that this will probably curtail that.

The mentors felt that vineeta has a powerful voice but she seemed very nervous. They did not like paresh's singing much.

Himesh's gharana

Priyani- Mera kuch samman from ijjazzat. Beautiful song but rendered very badly. She was very conscious and careful. She went besura couple of places.

Aishwarya- Zindagi bhar nahi bhoolegi... sang much better than the earlier day but not very impressive.his husky voice becomes very prominent.

The mentors found priyani shaky and aishwaraya not too good. Id said there was improvement in aishwaraya.

Aadesh's gharana
Keka- Na jaanu sajan...sang well...difficult song but she managed quite well.

The mentors thought she was good. and aadesh had given her this particular song to move away from the kind of songs she sings (sunidhi kinds).

Jatin lalits' gharana

Abhijeet- Khoya khoya chand ..not upto mark...was strange..did not pitch properly.

The mentors were hugely disappointed with his singing. Himesh said that he sang very badly and the judges should judge him on the basis of today's performance as aadesh has been always advocating for that. (seemed like a small fight but they did not show much)

Finally the results -
Among the girls Keka was obviously the fav and was shown the green card. Among the two- Alka said that vineeta had powerful voice but it was evident that she was very tense and nervous. Priyani's throw needs to be improved. Vineeta was shown green card.
Among the boys....confusion....Alka said that there was no doubt in showing abhijeet the green card. The contest was looking at playback singers and abhijeet was suited for that. Jagjit differed and said that the contest was for singers but since abhijeet was decided, now the tussle was between paresh and aishwaraya. Ismail and himesh were furious and said that this was not fair. Himesh said that aishwaraya has been singing with bad cough. Lalit interupped saying that everybody is unwell because of the pressure and that should not be the point, even abhijeet has got fever. Anyway alka said that they have decided that paresh and aishwaraya will sing the same song and jatin lalit and aadesh will decide the singer. Himesh and id still protesting over abhijeet's choice.
Paresh and aishwaraya sang har ghadi badal rahi hain dhoop.....I thought aishwaraya sang better but aadesh and jatin felt paresh was better. Lalit differed but since two had chosen paresh..alka showed green card to paresh. Ismail was happy but himesh was very upset.

Lot of drama happening lately on the show. I also read somewhere that aadesh has left the show because of the rude behaviour of Isamail who thinks no end of himself.

I hope he sticks to the show because he is the best mentor...very balanced..

Thanks for the update pmahesh. I totally agree with you. Aadesh is coaching his gharana very well. Most of the girls from Himesh's team are out I think.....

As i had mentioned even earlier - i think ismail has got the best girls and aadesh the best guys.

Nihira from ismail is a very strong contender, among the boys the guy who won on the last leg...i think the name is hemchandra is good...i also like rajeev-i think he has got a very powerful voice.

Hey guys...

I sure hope Aadesh does not leave the show because of Ismail's behavior. Ismail always seems to be very egotistic. I didn't like that one incident where he told one of his girl disciples "yeh mere izzat ka sawaal hai."

Aadesh seems to be a great judge offering constructive criticism and helpful hints. He seems very down to earth, and very forgiving on one or two subtle besur spots. His method of training his students was to encourage them (from what I see in the behind-the-scenes clips shown) and not always make them feel low. I also like his voice when he is helping someone sing.

For classical musicians or those knowledgeable of ragas, you'll see that Ismail's knowledge is limited to constant Puriya Dhanasri or Yaman Kalyan phrases.

'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' judges lose cool:
By Subhash K Jha, Mumbai: Temperatures on Zee TV's talent-scouting contest "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge" have been rising by the week, what with the judges forming their own caucuses, or gharanas, as they are politely called.

But politeness was thrown to the winds during the shooting of the popular show when two of the judges lost their cool and hurled abuses loudly and strongly, horrifying and embarrassing producer Gajendra Singh and others.

Confirming the verbal scuffle, composer Aadesh Shrivastava said: "The confrontation with Ismail Durbar had been building up ever since we started judging 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge'. His attitude is high-handed and arrogant and completely unacceptable to the other judges.

"He has no respect for anyone, not even those boys and girls who come from far-flung places like Assam and Manipur with dreams of becoming singers. Ismail addresses them so rudely on camera that many contestants are reduced to tears. I told him to be more considerate. But he's beyond reason," Shrivastava added.

The flashpoint was reached during the last stint of the show's last recording when Durbar made snide comments on Shrivastava's knowledge of classical music.

"He implied that he was the master of the ragas while Himesh (Reshmmiya), Jatin, Lalit (the other judges) and I were just novices who knew nothing about classical music.

"He forgets I'm from a musical family. I've used classically trained voices like Richa Sharma and Hema Sardesai, and used ragas in my tunes whenever possible. When Ismail made snide references to my abilities I couldn't take it any more," Shrivastava maintained.

"I ticked him off good and proper. We'd have probably gone further in our fight. But I don't come from the same background as he does. I somehow held my peace. But we all decided we'll not sit on the same platform as Ismail Durbar. Thank god the camera wasn't on when all this happened," Shrivastava added.

Pausing to control his temper, the composer continued: "I felt he insulted Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia when he commented about one of his students: 'Yeh sab ki bansuri bajaa dega' (He will best all flautists). Wasn't that a dig at the famous flautist? Ismail is always making such comments.

"His war cry, 'Yalgaar!' (attack) makes him sound like someone from (Pakistan). I told him that. And what are his credentials?

"He played the violin in the third row of Jatin-Lalit's orchestra before Sanjay Leela Bhansali discovered him. His only claim to fame is Bhansali's 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and 'Devdas'," Shrivastava maintained.

"The worst mistake he made was to fight with his mentor Sanjay Bhansali. All his other scores have failed miserably. He bragged that he discovered Shreya Ghosal when everyone knows Sanjay Bhansali found her," he added.

Shrivastava is unsure about returning to judge "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge".

"I've other commitments. I'm supposed to sing my own composition based on the Vedas at the opening of the Berlin Film Festival on Sep 21. I can't be frittering away time in fighting over lost causes. I firmly believe in the power of a music contest like 'Sa Re Ga Ma' to foster new singing talent for our film industry.

"In fact, I'm using two of the voices - Himani from Faizabad and Rajiv from Chamba - I heard during the contest in Kalpana Lajmi's 'Chingari'. Though the soundtrack is done, I felt it wasn't complete without a thumri," Shrivastava maintained.

"I'd rather concentrate on my music than on people who spread negative vibes," said the composer, who has just completed his 60th album.

i am not a regular viewer of sa re ga ma pa but i think out of aishwarya and paresh, aishwarya sang better. i don't know why it was a difficult choice for jagjit singh & alka yagnik and why jatin-lalit-aadesh chose paresh?!!

I watched current episode in US today and it seems like Jagjit Singh was quite unhappy with Alka Yagnik for making Abhijeet's decision by herself without any discussion. Can someone please clarify if Alka Yagnik offered Aishwarya to sing with her? What exactly did she say? I missed that part.....
