'Ami chini go chii' was used by Satyajit Ray in Charulata. Sung by Kishore'da - its picturised on Soumitra Chatterjee and Madhabi Mukherjee.. That is what is being refered here

I also loved the way 'Teri bindiya re' was picturized in Abhiman... the new bride Jaya Bachhan is scared and shy.. and she brings that out so beautifully through her expressions...

In that same movie, the last song "Tere mere milan ki yeh bela" can make any viewer cry, isn't it? Both Amitabh and Jaya have given their best to this film. Don't know how Jaya managed to show all the trauma she had been through without saying anything. Oscar material!

There are loads like that!

Yes, but you have got to describe the situation and tell us why you liked it. 😊

There is this song "tu kahan yeh bata is nashili raat mein, maane na yeh mera dil deewana" sung by Dev Anand in "Tere ghar ke saamne".

Dev doesn't know where Nutan lives in Shimla so he goes about the whole town singing this song and peering in every window, sometimes getting shooed off, sometimes treated as a beggar or a madman by the residents. Finally he locates Nutan in her balcony and she is as thrilled as he is to see her. Beautiful picturization!

I am too lazy a typist for that 😆 . See the song and you'll know 😉 😉

Then there's Meri Duniya Lut Rahi Thi..again Guru Dutt.

If you want to see a BADLY picturised song, see 'Milo Na Tum To' in Laila-Majnu 😆

Lazy huh?😉 I have seen your loooong posts! Which movie is Meri Duniya Lut Rahi thi from? What do you like about it?

Loved the picturisation to 'Zindagi kaisi yeh paheli haye' from 'Anand' - Salil Chowdhury and Manna Dey at their best.. and Rajesh Khanna does a brilliant job in carrying the song along the sea-shore and reflecting the true philosophies of the song.. In fact, I think that Anand is the best movie of Rajesh Khanna, and perhaps only he could carry it so well..

And how about...

Waqt ne kiya kya haseen sitam,
Tum rahe na tum, hum rahe na hum...

This song makes me feel as if I am teleported to that era.

a particular favourite of mine is 'Ab ke baras bhejo bhaiyyan ko babul' from 'Bandini'... Very soulful singing by Asha'ji and equally beautiful picturisation.. Nutan is in jail on the 'chakki' and sings out her pain.. Wow! what expressions... Nutan and Jaya B remain the finest actresses we had who always were a part of the mainstream cinema and through their powerful acting, added classy tocuh to whatever they did..
