A video from Tyla’s recent Mumbai concert has stirred unexpected controversy for actress and reality television star Shreya Kalra. The clip, which captures her enjoying the show while seated on a boy’s shoulders, has sparked criticism across social media. Many users questioned the moment, particularly because Shreya is currently in a relationship with actor Rishabh Jaiswal, leading to a wave of trolling and speculation.
As the online conversation intensified and assumptions grew wilder, Shreya finally decided to address the situation herself. Breaking her silence, she took to her Instagram stories to respond to the relentless trolling. In a long message, she wrote, ‘It’s honestly crazy how quick some of you are to judge a woman without knowing a single fact. You see a 5 second clip and suddenly you think you have the right to question my character, abuse me, and create entire stories about my life? Let me make this clear Vivek is literally like a brother to me. The people who actually matter in my life know this. If you don’t, that’s on you. Since when are women not allowed to have friendships or bonds outside their relationship? Since when did being on someone’s shoulders become a character certificate? It’s so easy to talk shit about a woman online. But trust me, it says more about you than it says about me. I’m done staying quiet. Stop projecting your mindset on my life.’

While the trolling continued to spread, Shreya’s boyfriend Rishabh Jaiswal spoke exclusively to India Forums to clear the air. Defending Shreya firmly, he said, ‘First of all, the video which went viral, I do not think there is any problem in that. I personally do not find any problem in that because the guy who is there in the video is my brother from Varanasi. He is a very good friend of mine. Infact, I was the one who actually introduced him to Shreya. And it is a very normal thing. I do not know why people are overreacting to it. And they are again doing the same thing, just trolling another girl. Just enjoying the tea, the so called tea thing is happening on Instagram which is not very funny. Maybe fun for them but not for us obviously.’
With both Shreya and Rishabh addressing the criticism directly, fans now hope the conversation finally shifts from trolling to understanding.
